I've only been here a couple times since it came to The Dalles about a year ago and every experience has been awesome!! The pizza is not only delicious but fun to customize. The price is right considering you can get as many toppings as possible!! And the service is always very welcoming and kind. Even when they have an error on their part- they make it right. They also support teachers and schools which I'm a teacher so that's a big plus! Thanks for coming to TD!! :D read more

Can't go wrong with a Pizza here, we normally get the Cauliflower crust when we indulge in pizza. However our fav is being able to decide all the goodies on the salad. The choices are delicious and they make the salad and toss the dressing into it. It does get little loud at times without having any sound absorption. Wish they could improve there. Mod has my favorite pizza. It's great to get exactly the toppings you want; the price is great, and it's really quick.

Normally I'd give mod a better review but today specifically I went in and was very displeased. Two of the staff members working today were very frustrating and showed little regard for customer requests. After ordering a plain Caesar salad with no tomatoes one offered sassy remarks about the lack of toppings on my salad which I was not a fan of. After this when trying to pay, another employee was trying to focus on too many customers at once and gave my sister and I the wrong sized drinks on both our orders after making us wait an extended time so she could fix a mistake she made on the previous order. I understand having off days, but at this point I will probably not be returning to mod after the service I received today. read more

Week after grand opening: ordered two pizzas online, my card was charged, I received an email saying my pizza is ready for pick up, had to ask three times and was constantly told that the pizzas will be ready shortly, just to find out (after asking a fourth time), our two pizzas were never even started. Checked with the manager, she said she couldn't see the order despite me showing her my confirmation email, as well as the payment going through. She told me she wasn't able to refund me so she gave me two gift cards for free pizzas. Decided to try again few weeks after said incident. Staff was rather unpleasant, the food was mediocre at best. It'd be nice if the *whole* pizza actually had toppings and sauce vs. just the center. Definitely not a recommendable place. If you want fresh pizza, for cheap that's actually worth every penny, Kainos is the place to be! read more

Great staff always friendly. I had a gluten free crust that wouldn't cooperate during the cooking process. The crust got burned but they made it right. They made sure I knew about it before they served it to me. I really like this place, I will be back!! read more

Food? I'm a huge fan of Pieology, so I wasn't sure how this was going to compare but it was good. They took care not to burn the crusts on our pizzas. They have a good assortment of toppings and sauces. The negative? The customer service. There was an employee there that could use some additional training in that department. I love this business. The staff provides great service and food, but also goes out of their way to build relationships and help people in our community in many ways. Feeding firefighters or the homeless are just a few examples that I know of. I love that the business emphasizes kindness to its employees as well. Seeing a business that understands the importance of treating each person - customer or employee - with dignity is something i really like seeing. read more

Super friendly staff! The Dalles needs a place like this so I hope the pizza making improves... we felt all of the toppings were right in the center of the pizza so there was like double the crust around the edges. Not sure if this is just how they make it or if it was the pizza maker... I also ordered a pizza from the board and it didn't come topped with the sauce it was supposed to. If it's listed as a topping from the menu I didn't think I needed to ask for it when my pizza was done. We will be back but I hope our next experience is better! BUT even 'bad' pizza is still good. read more

Really great place and excellent pizza and salads! Fresh ingredients, staff are super friendly, very clean facility, huge selection of ingredients- fresh, love the fountain drinks, and it's in a really convenient location especially if you're just passing through. I'm from out of town but will definitely go back with my family. Compared to most places in The Dalles this is absolutely a 5 Star stand out and even my picky father - who is from The Dalles and hates to spend money thought it was a great value for money- reasonable prices read more

We needed a fun, fairly priced restaurant with nice folks and fast service. Well, now we have it! Since you can create your own pizza, if it's not the best pizza you've ever had, you probably messed up when you chose the toppings. I ordered the 'Mad Dog', and added 4 or 5 toppings I love. And the 11" $8.27 pizza packed with toppings is so much more tasty, filling, & fairly priced than the $24.00ish pizza that Spooky's offers. read more

I love this place! It helps that I could eat pizza every day. I have probably had about 12 dinners here and only once was my pizza not fantastic. The service has always been fantastic! The wait has never been long and the establishment is very clean. This last time I went a manager was training a new employee and I was very impressed by how the manager taught the employee the job rather than telling him how to do it. Wow! I think I'm in love! Make your own pizza and or salad for one flat rate price! You could feel my excitement when Emily and Jill had told me I could dress and add as many things to my pie as my heart desired! I immediately wanted to add EVERYTHING! There were soo many different choices of sauce, cheese, veggies and meat... I had to remind myself simplicity is best even though I wanted just a touch of everything. White sauce, garlic rub and pesto, asiago and gorgonzola cheeses, fresh herbs and an assortment of roasted veggies, spicy chicken sausage and bacon, balsamic fig glaze and local honey... were all some of the exotic options they offered. My head was spinning with ideas. The only trouble I encountered was calculating how many pies I was willing to take back home with me at that time! Emily made it just the way I had wanted. She was extremely friendly and patient as I had contemplated the items I had wanted without adding the kitchen sink to my whole pie. Because of her kindness and hospitality I'll definitely be back! Jill had shared with me the support Mod gives to the local community and it made me love it even more! LOCAL, FRESH, HOMEMADE you simply DONT hear of these words very often together anymore! We tried this new pizza shop shortly after they opened and weren't sure what to expect. But we were pleasantly surprised; It's nice to have another option for a good slice. They have pre-designed pizza options or you can design your own. Great crust and good salads. read more

I placed an order online this evening. The system charged my account, but it also told me that the order didn't go through. I called them and was immediately helped by a nice woman. She offered to contact the billing company to get me a refund or to personally place my order over the phone. Though annoyed at the situation (not her fault) I chose to place my order. I arrived to pick up my order and the manager handled it himself. When I voiced my concern that this store gets their money and not another one, due to corporate connections with billing. He told me he was more concerned with providing me with the best service he could. I greatly appreciate and respect that in a manager and a company. I have never eaten there, but immediately knew that I would be writing this review, focusing on the service. Now concerning the food.. I am pizza snob! I'm pleasantly surprised at the quality. Fresh vegetables, crispy crust. Great flavor. Needless to say, I am very happy and will be returning and spreading the word. read more
