I recently visited MOD Pizza in Pines. MOD is a chain that lets you build your own pizza or pick from their menu of signature options and I love the flexibility and you can't go wrong. For my toddler, I ordered the small Maddy pizza a perfect 6-inch personal sized option just for kids. For the rest of the table, we shared the Mad Dog, Tristan, and the Caspian as is, and each one was delicious. I also noticed they offer large salads to order. The price point is great, especially for the quality and portion sizes. The restaurant itself is clean and spacious, and being located right outside of Pembroke Lakes Mall makes it super convenient.There's plenty of parking, and the service was quick the team worked fast and kept things moving smoothly, even during a busy time.Overall it's a solid choice for tasty, customizable pizza. Quick place to build a pie if you're in a pinch! Liked being able to see how my pie was being prepared right in front of me. Also liked how they are very concerned towards food allergies as well. This fast casual concept restaurant is essentially a Chipotle style restaurant.... except with pizza. They have a wide variety of toppings and you can essentially get anything you could ever want on a pizza... at no extra cost. Overall the dining and service are were clean and the employees were very helpful for those that have never been to the restaurant before. I really enjoyed the pizza and thought it was reasonably priced given the amount of toppings available. It is a thin crust style pizza, and there are other crust options. I just wanted to make sure to mention one if the best employees at this establishment, Stevo. It was my first time visiting here and I came in for the nurses day special. The restaurant itself is very clean and well organized. For the menu there is things such as pizzas including Minnie's too large and an option for cauliflower crust pizza as well. Salads and pizza pockets. The mini pizzas are very cute but run about 8.88 each and it does look very small but the flavors of every bite was very delicious! You are allowed to pick toppings and Stevo was very patient and helped me picked toppings and even sauces. But to be honest for 8.88 that pizza is to small as I finished it very quickly and was still hungry after but the favor was delicious and cooked perfectly. MOD pizza allows you to build your own pie, or choose from signature menu pies. I decided to build my own with spicy sauce, pepperoni, arugula, and hot honey. It was delicious! The crust is thin and crisp, which I like, and it's so bubbly and fresh since they bake it once you order. I also got a Ceasar side salad, which was pretty good, but not worth the price tag. I think the mini/side salad option was $8+. The customer service was good too, they were really patient as I looked at all the toppings and decided what I wanted. This place rocks. It's a build-your-own thin-crust heaven. Huge fan of their dough and thin crust pizzas specifically but the awesome part about this place too is the customization of the pizzas. Endless options with no limits (within reason). I always get my pizzas well done, and they always ask if it's cooked enough for me. They also have signature pizzas to choose from. The manager Kaylee (spelling?) took our order and she was super nice and joking around with us. My husband asked for no cheese since he's lactose intolerant, and she offered to change her gloves and recommended their dairy-free cheese as an option. She remembered our names and said goodbye to us by name as we were leaving. The pizza was great as always, and you can't beat the price. My husband is also addicted to their No-name cake. There was an employee cleaning tables while we ate, and you could tell he was taking plenty of time and care to make sure they were actually clean. While I wouldn't call Mod pizza in line with really good pizza, it's good when you're looking for something to eat, you don't want to spend $100 on dinner and everyone wants pizza but everyone wants something very different. I don't eat cheese so I was pleasantly surprised when the gentleman making my pizza didn't skimp on the veggies and did mention they have vegan cheese. I still chose to go cheeseless. My pizza was very tasty and my kid loved her pizza overloaded with artichokes. Service originally was a little slow, but once they started rolling it was very food. They did a fantastic job making our pizzas. They mad exactly how we wanted and didn't skimp on anything. My daughter got a pizza with pepperoni and extra, extra, extra artichoke. Very disappointed in this visit. Being vegan, we don't order pizza out very often. We were choosing between Blaze Pizza and MOD Pizza. I checked out the apps for both places and saw that MOD offered non-dairy cheese. So that cinched the restaurant choice for us. Upon arrival, I received a call, while in the restaurant, that they were out of non-dairy cheese. They guy behind the counter offered to cancel our order and give me my money back. We were hungry and did not want to go any place else so we got the pizza without cheese. Finally, the last time we were at MOD Pizza we wanted a cauliflower crust pizza and they were out of it. This was my last time that I order from the Pembroke Pines, MOD Pizza. Obviously, this place has an issue ordering the right quantities or they need a different supplier. The pizza here is decent. The crust is typical of what you would get at a build your own pizza restaurant. The toppings are good and fresh however I wish there was some sort of label system because it's a bit hard to tell what each of the ingredients are when ordering. The service was ok it took about 35 minutes of waiting in line until we placed our order. That felt like a long time considering there weren't that many guests ahead of us, maybe about 5 or so guests a head of us. The pizzas came out in a weird order my friend who ordered and paid before me didn't get her pizza until about 15 minutes after me. The restaurant it's self was fairly clean. The best part is that they dont nickel and dime you on the toppings. You can create your own personal pizza or purchase one of their signature pizzas. There are a variety of cheeses, meats, veggies, dressings and crusts you can choose from. I ordered the thin crust with red sauce and pesto. I added mozzarella and asiago cheese. Topped it off with basil, tomatoes, mushrooms, crushed garlic, and herbs. The pizza is baked in a brick oven until well done. It had the perfect crunch to the crust, the cheese and toppings were cooked evenly. I topped it off with a drizzle of pesto and created the perfect pizza. Exactly what I was craving. My daughter ordered something similar except she added more veggies. I thoroughly enjoyed the pizza. The 5 star rating is for the pizza chef. When I arrived to pick up my pizza, she raised her head and asked if I was Julie. She then explained that one of my pizzas was in the oven because she made a mistake with the sauce and was remaking it correctly. I REALLY appreciated her honesty and how she handled the mistake. I actually shared the story with my son as an example about making mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes and it's how you handle your mistakes that shows your true character. Wish I knew her name, but thought she was worth the shout out. If I find out, I will update the post. Hope MOD knows what a good employee they have. My cousin suggested this place for pizza so we made the drive late night ! This place is super clean and the staff are very friendly. It's right next to a Starbucks just in case you want to grab a coffee after. They answered all of my questions since it was my first time dining here. (All employees wore masks) I ordered the Tristin pizza which doesn't have sauce just mushrooms, veggies and pesto drizzle. I added a sprinkle of spicy chicken sausage and the balsamic glaze over. The other pizza is a create your own! For those with a sweet tooth you HAVE to get the no name cake. I am not a chocolate fan but it was moist and had a perfect cream filling. My cousin told me she thinks that the table with the cups/napkins might have been placed in memory for the fallen soldiers. So this was our second time going here.. and honestly, after the first time I didn't have high hopes for a great experience. Waiting in line it is a pretty slow process ordering your pizza and getting it in the oven.. However, after the initial slow hiccup this experience really got a lot better! The pizza was delicious! From there you hop on around the bend to choose the rest of your toppings. After you create you pizza, it heads on over to the giant brick oven where you can watch you pie sizzle to perfection. They offer three different sizes, and have some signature options if you are not in the mood to be creative. They offer some breadsticks, salads, and desserts. There are some \beer options, as well as soda/water/tea. The service has always been wonderful. The staff is friendly and patient. The parking situation can get a little wild since they share a small lot with Starbucks, but since it is located in a Target parking lot, there are always spots just a short walk away. Stopped by this pizzeria for the first time. I created my own pizza and it was ok and I would have enjoyed it a lot more but seems like the A.C on this place is super cold. Yes, the wait to actually BYO pizza takes a bit of time when they're busy but no matter how many toppings you pile on that pizza, it's out quicker than expected. I wonder what's their secret... Both times I had a regular Mod Pizza, BYO style, and I have topped mine way thicker than a regular supreme pizza from a commercial joint. Great value and great quality -- and yes, even just half was so filling for me in one sitting so I save the other half for my next meal. Definitely my go-to pizza spot! I brought my mom here tonight to see if it was still as dope as it was back in Cali. When we walked in we were greeted by a chorus of, "Hello!" from all the employees. The ladies behind the ordering counter were plesant, and friendly as we made our orders. I got the Maddy (11 inch), your basic bish, cheese pizza, and my mom ordered the Mad Dog (11 inch), which is basically a meat lovers pizza. We found some seats, got our drinks -- which by the way, if you're a lemonade/tea fan, try the Blackberry lemonade. It's delicious! Anyway, we sat down and in maybe 5 - 8 minutes, our pizzas were ready. When I bit into that pizza it brought me back to my interning days. It was just as good as I remembered.
