Very clean, well maintained, fresh, fast and friendly service and had two amazing vegetarian pizza and their wonderful salad special. All four different lettuces were fantastic, particularly the arugula. We will be back very VERY soon. The salad just was that good. It's also worth the extra traffic to get to this location which also has ample parking spaces too. I just wished they could reference our orders so we could just click repeat. I love Mod but hate this one. Every time we go, we see the same person doing all the work while their co-workers hang out. The last time we went, we had to wait a long time while the one productive employee made the pizzas and one of the lazy employees finally came out to ring us up. Although he had NOTHING to do with our pizzas he tried to guilt my husband into giving him a tip. He told him how to add the tip and then told him about how he really relies on the tips to pay his bills. If I had cash I would have insisted on no tip on the card and gave the good employee the cash directly. We now drive out of our way to go to a different Mod. read more

Ordered pizza on line at the mill creek location. When i arrived at my promised pick up time the guy at the online order check in told me it would be 15 more minutes. When I asked why he stated ( with an attitude ) "our corporate makes those pick up times and we don't abide by those - if you don't like it take it up with them." After waiting there another 30 minutes, my pizza was given to me. I did not say anything to the guy as I did not feel a thank you was warranted due to the fact that I was given attitude prior. As I turned to leave he said "you're welcome" in a very sarcastic tone. I will not ever go back. This one employee who by the way, had his mask down below his nose, was rude and nasty. There are plenty of other places I will be glad to order from. 45 minutes to make a pizza, No apology for the failed service with a surley employee who wasn't following proper mask wearing - no thank you! read more

Update: The people working here just don't care. They should close the business. They screwed up our order, as well as many more others. They were sending pizzas to the wrong people and burning the others. Then they refused a refund. The manager was straight up incompetent and tried to offer excuses for screwing up. After waiting 45 minutes we took a coupon and left. I don't know why I gave them another chance. Previous feedback: We like the pizza, but lately they've started skimping on toppings even after repeated asks for more. Almost like the cost for toppings comes from their hourly wage. Very nice staff, good customer service. Newly upgraded inside. Music can me too loud we usually take home. I have two concerns: 1) stingy on toppings, I only get a few items and I have to constantly say "more please". 2) I get olive oil on the crust instead of red sauce. There isn't consistency on how they apply the olive oil. Some swirl it on and leave it (the crust gets saggy and the rest is super dry), some put way too much on (the crust is all over drenched). Ideal is swirl is on, and use your glove to evenly coat the crust. No standard process here it's a toss up what I'll get when I order. read more

Go figure, a pizza quote on FB spurred me to visit the new MOD Pizza down the street from us. Custom pies, lovely wine, beer, shakes or sodas to be had for two. I had the Mad Dog 11" personal pizza with a glass of red wine. Note, what is a perfect size glass of wine for me might not be enough for you. ;) Suzy had a Caspian with mozzarella, gorgonzola, BBQ chicken, and red onions with a soda. We chatted away and all of a sudden our pizzas were ready. Luscious crust, fresh meat and cheese, and excellent sauce. In and out in 20 minutes. We'll be back. read more

Okay, I know that a lot of people like the pizza here, but I'm not a fan. The toppings are fine, but the crust taste strongly of baking soda - which is strange in pizza crust since it's not usually an ingredient. The crust has a salty metallic taste, which is baking soda. I really wanted to like Mod, but a pizza lives or dies on the quality of it's crust, and sadly, their crust just isn't good. read more

To speak to the brand, they have a great concept. They're following the Chipotle build-your-own, fast casual model. The pizza is reasonably priced. The staff is friendly. The broad selection of ingredients is fresh. To anyone that thinks this is still a Washington-only chain, they have not been to the MOD website lately. They are spreading all over the country. And that's not a bad thing! They do have some serious competition from other fast casual pizza chains, so it should be interesting to see what chain takes the lead in that race. The bad news is: I have been to this particular location several times, and I am not kidding when I tell you that my order has been wrong 50% of the time. Luckily they have gladly let me keep the incorrect pizza and made a new one without hesitation. But when they get the order wrong they have no way of going back to the original order since it was written on a piece of paper that was already discarded. So you have to verbally tell the staff remaking the pizza what you ordered. Once it even came out wrong a second time. At that point, I just ate the incorrect pizza, because I don't feel like taking the time to explain the breakdown in their system. I haven't been in a ton of other MODs, but this one could use some better spot cleaning during dinner. There are a lot of kids that come through, so it gets an understandable amount of trash and food on the floor, but I never see anyone cleaning it. read more

It's like we forget how incompetent they are every time we order online. We've done this three times since they opened in Mill Creek and each time they have jacked up the order, been way late in making it and/or completely forgotten the order. Tonight was no exception. I placed the online order for three pizzas and two orders of their strips. It said it would take half an hour. About fifteen minutes after I placed the order, I received a phone call from an employee there that went like this: MOD PIZZA: Hi! We received an online order and under the first pizza it says Phillip...Uhhhh.... ME: Uh, yeah that's the name of the person who's pizza that is. Do you have a pizza named Phillip or something? (I've accidentally done this before and it made them verrrry confused). MOD: OH!!!! The names are who the pizzas are for!!! ME: Yesssssss....??!! MOD: OH!!!! So, do you want us to write the names you put in the notes on the boxes????? ME: Yeahhhhhh... that would be great thaaaaaaaanks.... MOD: AWESOME! OKAY! BYE! Mmmmmmkay. Because that was so difficult to understand? So, I sent the hubs to pick up the pizzas and they aren't ready at the promised time. For a place that boasts a 3 minute baking time in an 800 degree oven, this is annoying. I tell him to wait it out, it shouldn't be too much longer. Ten minutes later I receive a text that they have forgotten two of our three pizzas and thought that was the complete order. Sigh. So now they have to construct these while the strips and the hubs' pizza gets cold. Awesome. The manager tells him that the forgotten pizzas will be free of charge. But we paid for them online, so we'll see how that works out. Meanwhile, hubs sees a man storm out because his order has taken over an hour while he was sitting there waiting on it. When he gets home, my pizza had an extra topping on it that I didn't order and had to scrape off. The last time, they added hot sauce all over my pizza when I didn't ask for it. I think this was their third strike which is super unfortunate because their pizzas really are delicious! Boo, Mod Pizza. Boo. read more

Giving it 2 stars just because of the food. The service at the beginning was amazing but the lady actually handing out the pizzas made the whole experience horrible. This place was pretty awesome. It's basically a "Subway" for Personalized pizzas. It's a tad confusing in the beginning, but generally the options are pretty abundant. We came in as a group of 7 and pretty much all built our own pizzas, which were all delicious. I love that they offer Gluten Free pizza-crust options. The ingredients are all very fresh. The decor is very cool and the restaurant is generally very clean. Staff is nice and helpful. It wasn't terribly busy when we went in Saturday at 1pm. My sister and I had just finished the Run or Dye run and were covered in color and they didn't care that we looked like a hot mess, which was nice (because we were starving). read more

The last two times we went to Mod pizza and got the Mod size salad it has been sadly short. Does this look like $8 worth of salad? When my husband went to check out he mentioned it to the person checking him out and she said yep that's a Mod! Why have a large bowl when its about half full...and bottom half not the top? Our pizzas were also doughy that we had to cook them when we got home....I like the old Mod when they first opened seems like they have lost quality control. :( read more

It's kind of neat to completely customize it...hence the name, MOD. The service here has always been cool. Everyone has a lax attitude and chill vibe. It makes for a personable experience. This place has the worst customer service. Every time I place my order I have to go back and forth with the employees... I like my spinach cooked with the pizza but they borderline refuse to put it on before the pizza goes into the oven because it could get burnt. I know this fact... I still like my spinach cooked yet they argue and try to convince me to put that topping on afterwards. They also gave me attitude when I asked them to remake my pizza because an employee poured ranch on my pizza when I didn't ask or want it. So when they remade my pizza they forgot to add chicken and they gave me more attitude and clearly showed their annoyance when I asked for chicken. In the end I asked them to just throw the cold chicken onto the pizza without it being cooked because I was hungry. I understand mistakes happen... But don't give me attitude because I want a mistake corrected. And please don't tell me what ingredients I want on my pizza and how I want them. And I would like to say this is an isolated incident but I have issues like this just about every time i have come in. read more

A very nice location as it seems super popular to the general public. As , it is quite busy but they could be a bit quicker when making the pizzas as one of their catchphrases is "Super Fast" . So, the location in the Lynnwood Crossing are able to retain this. But it's not that big of a deal as their food always delivers as I don't feel like a "mad dog" when I leave but if the prices increase like another $2 I'll be left with a puzzled impression. My kids and I grabbed dinner here and the man making the pizzas was super nice and friendly! When walking to our car in the parking lot, I dropped my salad and it exploded all over the concrete. The manager of the store came right out and offered to make me a new salad - no charge! I was already having a rough day and dropping my salad was so sad as I was starving! I really like MOD but had a sub par experience. Food prep quality was below normal (not enough cheese, WAY too much garlic, put in oven before I could ask for other items). The gal who rang me up overcharged me and then the transaction had to be reversed. Simple mistake but she wasn't paying attention at all and rushed through the transaction. Had to have manager fix and now waiting 5 days to see refund from canceled transaction. Bad attitudes all around. Everyone appeared stressed, upset, and/or angry. Not sure what was going on but definitely a weird vibe. Management needs to do a team meeting and boost morale! read more

Being a pizza lover, I don't know how I have never heard of this place before. We were in the area getting our wedding rings cleaned and decided to try it. I was not disappointed. First impressions. I like the aesthetic. They have booths, high tables and low tables. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. It's a create your own style place, but they also have some preconfigured options, a seasonal and employee favorite. They encourage modifying, and have lots of topping options. There are 3 sizes, mini/mod/family. They have breadsticks, cinnamon breadsticks, you can do a salad-needless to say, lots of options. We each got a 'mod' sized pizza. My husband did the Mad Dog and added onions. I got the Lucy Sunshine, swapped the Parmesan for feta and the red sauce dollop for pesto. Soooooooo good. It was a good size. I ate about half of mine and he ate most of his. I like leftovers :) It has a thin crust, wasn't burnt on the bottom and you can tell they're hand made because it wasn't a perfect circle. Drinks. They have fountain soda, homemade lemonades and iced teas, beer, cider, Boylons bottled and milkshakes with delicious sounding mix-ins. I have the blackberry lemonade and it's one of the best things I've ever had. Needless to say, this place is awesome. The food was awesome, the service was awesome. Even the bathroom was nice! I've been during lunch and dinner and I've never had to wait long, although I seem to always come before there is a long line. I can have as many toppings as I want?!?!? MOD pizza is like the Chipotle for casual dinning pizza. The first thing you see is a huge counter and hanging menu. You can order a pizza that already has select toppings (which you can add/subtract if you wish) or make your own. The 11 inch pizza costs around $7.17, plus tax and you can load it up with as many toppings as you please. After I ordered and paid, the pizza came out in under 10 minutes. I ended up taking half of the pizza home, since the 11 inch could've easily fed two people. The only thing I found, was that the beer was over priced. Over $5 for a 12 ounce draft. Hello MOD current and future customers, So I went here with of course, my hubby, on a day where we had no electricity. This place was filled with happy employees and a jolly atmosphere. The ONLY problem we had was figuring out the menu. There were so many options to choose from. Either it's a regular or a custom made. Just make it clear on the menu board!! So we decided on a custom made and a regular pizza, which turned out really good. The best one was the custom pizza. I tried Mod pizza for the first time at their Ballard location a few weeks ago, so I was completely stoked to find out there was another location 10 minutes from my house. My husband is a pizza freak, and while thin crust isn't his favorite, I definitely knew he'd enjoy the unlimited selection of toppings at Mod. We've been to the Mill Creek location twice now, and both times service and pizza has been fantastic. Can I just say that I LOVE that they say HELLO and THANK YOU/GOODBYE out loud to arriving and departing customers? Sure, it may be a little cheesy (no pun intended) but it's nice to be recognized as a customer. I will say this location isn't the fastest at getting the line to move (compared to the Ballard location which was wicked fast), but it's by no means slow. I love the cracker-thin pizza crusts that, when baked, are still chewy with a bit of crunchy. I typically eat dairy free so I get their dairy free cheese, but they are always sure to let me know when I order red sauce and pesto that there is cheese in those two sauces. Not a lot of places are that good at noting dietary preferences AND remembering about their ingredients, so I really love that Mod does this! As for the toppings, they are pretty top notch. Their "spicy" Italian sausage honestly doesn't taste spicy at all, but it's good. Though they flaunt unlimited toppings, they are definitely not overly generous - in particular with the meats - so I have to ask them usually for a second handful of whatever meat toppings I order. I super duper love the fresh herbs as an additional topping, and hot damn adding rosemary to your pizza is such a good idea. Lastly, I LOVE their homemade iced teas and lemonades. I had previously tried the pear herbal iced tea, which wasn't sweet enough for me. So last night, I tried the marionberry lemonade (HOLLA - this. is. AMAZING!!) and mixed it with their pear iced tea... and friends, let me tell you, that was an Arnold Palmer straight from food heaven. I love Mod because they are quick, tasty, and the price is dangerously good. Oh, and as for my husband? He too loves Mod and always goes for the Mega double crust pizza. Will we be back? Mod Pizza is like a combination of Subway and Pappa Murphy's and they serve beer and wine. For roughly $8 you order a pizza with unlimited toppings. They assemble the pizza in font of you and throw it in the wood fired oven. The crust is thin, the ingredients fresh, the staff friendly, etc. you can dine in or carry out. It's not the most comfortable hang out spot but definitely good food and great for a casual meal. read more
