I had a hankering for pizza because I saw a Dominos while I was getting my car washed. I think to myself "Dominos is neither quick nor good." Then I consider Little Caesars because at least it's quick. As it so happens, my drive took me here so I stopped in. It was midday on a Thursday, so the place was dead. However, the two girls working the counter were delightful. I asked for pizza by the slice, which they don't have. What the do have is fresh made personal pizzas in a legit pizza oven. I got the Mad Dog and added jalapeños and honestly, pretty great. Will probably go back. I chose to-go because I feel weird eating in empty restaurants, but the lobby was clean and not unpleasant. I am absolutely appalled. My fiance and I went go grab dinner tonight and we're craving pizzas but my appetite is completely lost now. I am not one to complain about the service or food, but this was crazy. We went in and their tall male employee began making our pizza and burped on mine twice. I texted my fiance about it and he noticed he was definitely high on some hard core drug. At first I didn't notice it, I was just weirded out that he burped on the pizza he was making for me. Then after I looked closer, he kept flinching and opening his eyes and mouth really wide as if he was tweaking out. I asked him if he was okay and he was talking really fast too. I used to work at HMHI in their detox center so this was very familiar. We had to walk out and didn't even get our pizzas. He was obviously high on hardcore drugs! First time having MOD Pizza. Had red sauce, olive oil, garlic, basil, mozzarella, feta, pepperoni, black olives, purple onions, mushrooms, and spinach. I forgot to ask for a few things because I was nervous. The sauce is a lot sweeter than I'm used to and tastes more like regular tomato sauce rather than pizza sauce. The pizzas aren't in the oven very long so the toppings aren't cooked very much, which I was a bit disappointed by. They wrote our order down and then we payed and sat down. Sadly, we got our pizzas and they were undercooked, cold, and my wife's pizza had the bare minimum toppings possible (see picture). Mine was so undercooked, I ended up taking mine home and re-cooked it (I assumed they wouldn't put it back in the oven after I had tried a slice). Despite the long-ish wait in line, once we finally got to the counter, the process moved quite quickly! It was busy, so it was really loud in the store. The woman said absolutely and so I ordered my pizza and she put my pizza in her oven. shortly after she pulled my pizza out she asked me is this how you want the bottom of your pizza and it was perfect when I took a bite it was a good flavor and crunchy like pizza was meant to be made. Not many good reviews at this location. Not sure why? Our experience was pleasant. I didn't even know Pei Wei had left over 8 months ago and MOD replaced them. Come to find out that Pei Wei only has a single location left in Utah. Pei Wei is pretty decent IMO. Anyway back to MOD pizza. Love the decor inside with the tall ceilings and the well lit area. Much better looking than was once here before with Pei Wei as it was very dark. Can't say a single bad thing about the food or the ordering process. They loaded up the pizzas with ample toppings, the gentleman that cooked our pizzas asked if I wanted to try some toppings? I said "sure" and he put a tiny sample on each part of the pizza. Employees here hate their job and it's very apparent. They refused to clean anything. They stood around and talked rather than help the customers. When they did bother to grace us with their attention, they tried to force us to make our order "to go" when we clearly wanted to eat at the restaurant. They stopped making our pizzas after putting one topping. We had to fight them to get the rest of the toppings on our build-your-own unlimited toppings pizza. They burned the pizza more than a char, it was burned. They had all day to stand around and scowl at the few customers who were there on July 3 2023 at 8 pm. If you're a hipster who doesn't mind being treated like shit and eating burned food in filth by all means go there. If not, please stop supporting this place, they hate the fact that you are there interrupting their conversations. Show them the feeling is mutual and don't bother going here under any circumstance. Brick oven pizza cooked to perfection. Staff got all of our orders correctly and were very nice and attentive. I also got some of their lemonade and together it was amazing. I came here one evening when it wasn't very busy. I had three guys working there when I walked in. I was debating on getting a normal pizza or the pizza I was thinking about getting I asked the guy that was about to make my pizza I'd it would be weird if I got it with pesto because it seemed weird in my head but also sounded good. He said, "no that isn't weird at all" and was extremely kind! He made my pizza to PERFECTION and everyone was kind and helpful during the entire process. My wife and I were in the area and have wanted to try MOD for a long time. We were greeted warmly by the 2 workers and they explained the process; which of course meant no charges for toppings. The crust is ok and very thin so I imagine if you order lots of toppings will get lost in the heap of toppings. You can always pay more for a thicker crust. The crust was my least favorite thing on the pizza. The cheese is nice and stringy and tasted really good. The mozarella tasted fresh and of good quality, it was the surprise on the pizza for me. There is no need to get additional cheeses on the pizza. The topping are plentiful and the red sauce tasted good to me but I would have liked just a bit more. Since everything is free request a bit more sauce. Some of the toppings I got were mushrooms, spicy sausage, bacon, sliced tomatoes, and an anchovie. I love these chains of pizza spots. However, I came in today to order a pizza and the worker did not switch gloves when prepping my pizza. If this was another customer who had allergies of any kind the mindfulness of the worker would have not been there. Handling food you should always be switching out gloves due to cross contamination. Does the job, not traditional pizza. I was a little bit disappointed with the menu - the combinations on the menu were either unexciting or unbalanced combinations (all meat, or all veggies, not a lot of exploration in flavor). The menu also stated that all toppings were only a dollar, but there was no list of toppings on the menu. I discovered after getting to the counter that it is an assembly line set-up, which I think could be mentioned somewhere on the menu, or somewhere on the approach to the counter in their long, walled-off line. The sauce is put on after your pizza is baked, when your name is called up - I also don't recall seeing these on the menu. The pizzas themselves are decent, the crust is thin and bubbly - but does not really resemble a true pizza crust - maybe it's pita bread or a tortilla? The meat and vegetable toppings I got were ok, there's just enough cheese, and the pesto I chose was alright. There aren't different pizza sizes, just one size, you can chose a thin crust or slightly thicker - one pizza is about equal to a meal for one person. Open atmosphere, open and sort of loud, lots of seating for small gatherings, concrete floors. There weren't many people there when I went. We decided to give MOD Pizza a try for lunch the other day. The staff was friendly and service was quick. Their standard MOD 11-inch pizza is only $7.67 with whatever toppings you'd like. They don't charge extra for more toppings. Under $8 is a cheap lunch no matter how you slice it! The dining area was clean and inviting with large windows and sunshine. Overall the pizza was good. It was served up freshly prepared, hot and with good toppings. I think the crust was the biggest disappointment for me because it was so thin and didn't have much flavor. For quick service pizza, I think the nearby Pizzeria Limone serves up better pizza, with higher quality ingredients, and an excellent crust. Pizzeria Limone also has amazing chocolate lemon brownies. Just saying! However, Pizzeria Limone is also more expensive, so MOD Pizza does deliver a good pizza for a more competitive price. read more

I love Mod Pizza and I go a lot. I live around Sugarhouse so I usually go to that location. I was down in Sandy so I tried this location. I went in and the staff were very friendly but they were too focused talking to each other to actually focus on taking my order. When I got my pizza, many ingredients were left off. For example, it was supposed to some sauce on it but it had none. To go along with this, they cut the pizza horribly. They cut the pizza into only 3 pieces making one slice half of the pizza. Keep in mind, they had no one in the restaurant at this time so there was no reason for it to be rushed. If the workers cared more then none of this would have happened. Alright I usually don't post reviews even if stuff it's bad because I worked in the restaurant industry but this is a special case. I placed an online order and they said it'd be ready in 20 minutes. It then took almost an hour. When my family returned home with the food we then realized that they fully messed up on the order and cooked it terribly. All pizzas were super burnt and my wife's pizza was uncooked in the middle. She can't have bacon because of an allergy problem but they didn't even read the ticket and put bacon on it. My pizza was missing the toppings on it and had almost no toppings of what I ordered. My moms pizza was burnt to hell as well and also was missing the dressing for her salad. I proceeded to call the restaurant which by the way the AI system to get through is ridiculous, but besides that once I got a hold of an actual person here is where it was a line crosser for me. Whoever picked up said hello are you there, I proceeded to say yes I'm here can you hear me. You know a regular response just making sure the connection is ok, he then responded with yes I can. And not two seconds later he repeated while interrupting me are you there. And I said yes can you hear me he said yes. He then repeated this probably three times before I snapped.
