It wasn't so much of the pizza being partially burnt from keeping it in the oven long, but the experience...Walked in, my daughter and I, and wanted two MOD's with more toppings. At glance it was an employee leaning over the toppings area for pizza and making a customer pizza. Very oversized employee lady. I assume her weight was too heavy and had to lean the whole time over toppings down the line, almost from stomach-up, and arms across toppings to make pizza for the guy in front of me. I could see she couldn't stand up long because of her weight. If she could see herself in a mirror reflection, she probably wouldnt eat from herself. That's a major, not only personal health but sanitary issue for business and people. If you have to lean to make pizza over people's food, I wouldn't feel comfortable eating my pizza. Luckily the other employee helped me next like a assembly line for my daughter and I. If it was my pizza... I would of said something right there. Maybe the other customer felt really sorry for her and didn't say nothing, as well as the other employees. So our pizza was made with quality, but ended burned for leaving in oven to long. My husband just visited this Mod Pizza. He had the worst time ordering. The worker did not know what constituted a Lucy Sunshine. He had to read it over and over again. Then, he ordered a mini salad. My first time coming to a Mod pizza! The workers were fun and engaging. They took the time to explain the process and walked me through the process of picking my toppings! The others that were in the back ground were friendly as well as the buzzing around prepping! Over all a good experience and will be back for sure!!! As for the pizza! Love that we can select our own toppings. We prefer it to go and ordering online to pick up is very easy and fast. They do a pretty good job on the toppings. For a while, they were kind of short on some toppings but it has been better the last few times and since I only order an all veggie pizza and no meat then I expect them to give a good amount of toppings. This is one of our favorite place to eat by our hotel. Pizza and salad are both very good. I love, love, love they have vegan cheese. They have tons of toppings and let you build either your salad or pizza just how you like it so every time you go it can be different if you want. They're open later than most places in the area. Walked into this location with my brother and my service animal and within seconds the manager, Cody Fields, comes up to me without asking any questions and tells me that my dog couldn't be in the restaurant. I understand the policies and respect them but this isn't my first rodeo I've had my dog for 6 years now and I wouldn't bring him in if he wasn't a registered service animal. The way he came across was rude and just unwelcoming. The whole time we sat there eating he wouldn't stop looking our way. Being the manager one would expect something different. My life group came to this location on 7/21 to have lunch as a class. I ordered a Mod and it was crafted with perfection to my satisfaction. The line was long but moved quickly. I did not feel rushed when I was creating my masterpiece. They were very patient and placed as many ingredients on the pie that I wanted no questions asked. The wait for my pizza to be ready did not seem out of line. What I received was hot and fresh which is how I like my pizza. All of the ingredients were top notch. Recently tried a vegan, gluten-free diet, which limited my food choices in Kingwood. Noticed Mod Pizza offered a cauliflower crust pizza option. Was pleasantly surprised by this crust! Was thin and crispy and you wouldn't know it wasn't a traditional crust. They also offer vegan mozzarella, which was OK, but didn't impress as much as the cauliflower crust. Will definitely be back for more if that cauli crust! read more
