Finally made it to Mochinut with the kids. I used to go all the time when I lived in CA so was excited when I heard one opened in Omaha. The donuts have a diff texture, a little more chewy. It is a fusion of a donut and mochi. Mochinut is a Korean donut spot and they also have Korean corn dogs and bingsu (shaved ice). Will have to come back to try the corn dogs and bingsu. I'm used to eating these fresh. In CA, there was always a lime for Mochinut so their donuts were always super fresh and hot when you got them. These were not fresh from the fryer but they are still delicious and a must try!

I first tried Mochinut at a Yelp event, and I had the Banana Cream flavor there, which I LOVED! The inside of Mochinut is super cute with a few cool neon signs, lots of pink, and adorable sayings etched on the walls. The Mochinut texture is pretty donut like, but with a little extra "bounce" in the bite. It's more dense than a normal donut but I wouldn't describe the consistency as heavy, more chewy and a little bit airy. After my banana cream Mochinut experience, I went back a few times - and the other flavors are a little hit or miss. That's just a personal preference, obviously. They have a lot that I DO love (like the aforementioned Banana Cream). Other Flavors I've tried are: Orange Creamcicle - A little odd of a flavor for me, I know many like orange creamsicle flavor, but I get the ick mixing fruit and cream together. Apple Fritter Churro - This one was great! Very cinnamon-forward eith a hint of apple flavor. It tasted like those cinnamon applesauces you can get. Ube Monster - I liked this one, but didn't love. The chocolatey sprinkled parts were good, with the chocolate mixed with the Ube, but the Ube only parts were a little more savory flavored than sweet. Some may enjoy that, so no hate! Nutella Peanut Butter Crunch - This was another that was good-not-great, I think only because when I hear Nutella and peanut butter, I think of something really creamy and smooth, but this was just a normal Mochinut with Nutella on top and some sprinkles of nuts. Raspberry Funnel - Another that I loved! It tasted just like the strawberry funnel cake you get at the baseball game or state fair, etc. (Brought back a lot of funnel cake memories, if you couldn't tell). Aside from the Mochinuts, they also have coffee drinks. I first tried the plain black coffee with cream and it was extra smooth and velvety. No acidic taste that some lower quality coffees can have. When I've been back, I tried some of the flavored lattes. I had the caramel latte which was not very sweet at all, and had little chunks of something (maybe a Biscoff cookie?) in it. I got it to-go so maybe they just put it into the latte instead of along the rim of the cup like in their menu picture. Not a pleasant feeling to take a drink of coffee and feel chunks come out of the cup into your mouth. And aside from all the sweet stuff, they also have Korean corn dogs, so you can have a snack that's not too sweet as well. I had the half beef/half mozzarella corndog, with the Cool Ranch topping. It was actually really tasty and seemed to be pretty high quality meat and cheese (and Doritos LOL) So whether you're wanting a sweet treat, a nice snack, or some boba or semi-quality coffee, Mochinut is a cute spot to consider!

Ihave been DYINGGGG to try a mochi donut! Just so happened to be out West this evening and snagged some just to try! I hear the texture is... different... and it IS! But it's a great different! They're soft, pillowy, chewy (in a good way!). NON greasy! Like, zero grease and I was expecting carnival texture! We grabbed their Butter Finger and Watermelon (fruity), and I should have grabbed a Boba Drink ‍ all the more reason to come back and try different flavors!... and that Boba Drink! Butter Finger is as you'd expect it: a light... flavor note. Not at all harsh like the actual candy. But again that chewy texture... The Watermelon (fruity) was: gross in my opinion. Very fake watermelon flavor, and the "fruity" aspect just isn't a good mix. BUT... it could be someone's flavor, it's just not mine or T's. I mean I really don't recommend it... Their other flavors sounded decent though. If they sold these bad boys in a cup, just the little mochi balls, they'd be a HUGE hit!

I enjoyed the variety of donuts and the fun shape. The off note was that a staff member was smoking out back with the door open so the place reeked of cigarettes and a cold breeze was blowing through. I want to smell donuts and coffee, not cigarettes! That said, the Ube Cloud drink was a standout I would definitely have again.

I was impressed by the selection they had for it being 8pm on a Wednesday... wasn't sure if they'd be out of most flavors like other donut shops. I tried the rice krispy mochinut and it tasted like a sweet chewy donut. It was different than regular donuts, but delicious! Ended up buying a pack of 6 to try all of the flavors. The mochi balls have filling inside that tastes like a very thick whipped cream rather than frosting. They were OK. The boba drinks come in a large size so you get a good amount of drink for what you're paying for. I also tried their Korean hotdogs... definitely something I would want to eat after a night out! I was the only person in the store so the service was quick! I just wish they had more comfortable seating. I went with two friends and they didn't really have a lot of options other than the high top facing the windows. However, I would Highly recommend and would definitely come back

Reposting since my review seemed to have disappeared... Parking can be a lot given that it shares a parking lot with the Chinese Buffet next door. I was excited to finally go after it opened. I was there in Nov 2024. Immediately upon entering I noticed a potty smell. You know the smell of like a port-o-john smell. I also saw some flies flying around, but even that I was so excited to try a mochi doughnut I purchased three anyways. The taro lacked any real flavor what so ever. Just sugary glitter flavor. The chocolate flavor "cheesecake" flavor is a joke. It doesn't taste like cheesecake. Watered down icing for a red velvet cupcake... maybe. Lastly the chocolate flavor which was the last one. That should have been my warning, but it was dry as can be. HOWEVER the worst part was the donuts smelled like the potty odor that permeated the store. I tried a small bite of each flavor just to do the review since I had spent so much on 3 small doughnuts, but y'all I couldn't gag it down over the smell. It literally smelled like I was eating a portapotty. My husband even had to stop after a few bites and we trashed it. Maybe I should have gone back in and said something, but obviously they knew the store smelled right? How could you not notice it. Even another customer commented on it while I was waiting in line. I understand crap happens, pun kinda intended, but I can't get over my experience to try it again. I will say too if you want to try these and you can't drive that far west they do sell them at the Asian Market on 76th and Dodge, but I imagine they get kinda dry quickly given the state of my chocolate one. Hard pass from me.

Such a cute place! So glad to see more boba and mochi donut places opening around Omaha! Stopped in on a Saturday and it was the place the be! The restaurant was bustling. The staff was a little wide-eyed at the line but they did a great job getting through it and were happy and accommodating, as well. If you want sweeeeet this is the place! As someone who lived in CA I'm used to customizing boba a bit more than they do out here, so it ended up tasting less like boba tea to me and more like milky sugar. However, I would simply just choose a latte or coffee next time. If you like sweet, you'll love the drinks. We also ordered the flaming hot Korean hot dog and it was good, but just good. Not as crispy and crunchy as we would have liked, also would have been nice to have a sauce drizzled on it without an additional charge. The star of the show was certainly the mochi donut, they were fresh and delicious even at 3pm!! 3/$10 donuts.

Ube

I've been wanting to try Mochinut for a while, and I was finally in the area and decided to treat myself. I went at kind of an odd time (4:00) but there were plenty of donut options to choose from. I ended up deciding on Ube. The donut was fresh and tasted like a cross between a funnel cake and a donut. The frosting was sweet, but I will say I didn't get a really strong Ube flavor from it. I will definitely try other flavors, and I feel like I have to try one of the Korean corndogs (with just the cheese) at some point!

We had such an amazing time trying out this new hot spot! I had no idea this spot offers so much, came in expecting donuts only and was blown away. I liked the donuts much more than I expected--the texture is definitely a cross between a donut, funnel cake, and marshmallow as one review described them! I love the topping and wish there was a bit more of it, but I'm normally not a donut person as I need a TON of flavor. The texture of these definitely made them better than most donuts I've had! The corn dogs were by far my favorite part, I got a hot Cheetos half-and-half, and was absolutely blown away by how much I liked it!! It was served, piping, hot, right out of the fryer, and the taste was amazing. Not too spicy at all with the hot Cheetos, but plenty of flavor. Next time I come in, I will get full cheese, as this was my favorite of the two options! I tried the potato as well, it was good, but my recommendation is definitely the hot Cheetos for the most flavor. The Bobo is great as well, I'm not a Boba person, but my friends loved it. The taste was very good, and I tried everything and liked the popping Boba much better than tapioca. Overall, this is a very affordable place to get a filling meal with very outside the box options compared to Omaha cuisine! I highly recommend stopping in to try the place, I'd be surprised if you don't come back to visit again!

Peanut butter Nutella mochinut

Great new mochi donut/boba/coffee spot out west! I had never even tried a mochi donut (a crime), but now I see why it was deserving of coming to Omaha! I went with the peanut butter Nutella crunch and the rice Krispy Mochinut, with a hot coffee (it was like -20 so I couldn't do the boba or iced coffee!). Both were so delicious, but the crunchiness of the rice Krispy offering made it the clear winner to me. The ooey gooey mochi with the rice Krispy crunch was perfect. The Mochinuts were around $3.50 each, depending on how many your purchased. They also offer Korean corn dogs with different fillings and toppings, but I didn't try these. My only feedback is that the hot coffee was very average, nothing special. It would be great if they could also serve a bit more delicious/craft coffee, but I also understand the balance of not over extending. Overall, very good, and I can see why this made it to Omaha, the texture is second to none.

It was a busy day! I enjoyed a flavorful delicious mango flavored Mochinut and a bananas foster too, both very good. The mochinuts are light and fluffy not heavy, so you can eat more than one. I also had iced coffee with milk. The iced coffee was very good, not strong and bitter. I like it mild with milk - it was perfect! There are a few places to sit and enjoy eating in the restaurant, it is bright and colorful. One last thought... I really like the shape, a circle of bubbles - why? Because it makes it so easy to share- just grab a little bubble from your friend!

What a cute and delicious place! We were invited to come try some of the food and drinks at Mochinut, and found such a gem in Omaha. The is super cute and would be a perfect place for a date night. The only downside is that there is not a lot of seating unfortunately, so if it got busy you'd definitely have to take it to go. The workers were all so nice, and were able to go over the menu with us and help us decide which flavors we would like. There was lots of flavors of mochi donuts, boba, and Korean corn dogs to choose from. For flavors we went with the following below: -donuts: pumpkin, s'mores, caramel -boba: strawberry cream (with strawberry pearls), peach mango (with peach pearls), brown sugar (tapioca boba) -corn dogs: potato, hot Cheeto, cool ranch I unfortunately couldn't eat most of the food since it wasn't gluten free, but my friends loved the texture of the donuts (a cross between a funnel cake, donut, and marshmallow) along with the corn dog. The hot Cheeto with cheese was the favorite along with the pumpkin flavored donut. I did get to try the boba and WOW was it all delicious. The strawberry cream with strawberry popping boba was my favorite, it tasted exactly like strawberry shortcake milkshake. Overall, highly recommend this hidden gem for some yummy, affordable bites!

Not really worth the price for the gimmick. Found a hair in one. I'd stick to regular donuts, way too chewy!

The drinks were really good but it was cold in the winter and the workers shouldn't have to be wearing coats and hats.

Kawaii tea time served up my first sushi taco ever and it was ELITE. My favorite was the salmon…read moresushi taco. The tempura shrimp and crab stick taco was good, but I wish it had more sauce. Overall, the ingredients were fresh, had amazing textures, and was the perfect size. Their boba was also good! I got the lychee green tea with lychee jelly. I opted for 100% sugar. It was perfect for me because I love sweet things. They also serve other Asian dishes including noodles, dessert and soup dumplings. The ambiance is cute, decor is fun. The space is clean. The employees were very friendly. I had an amazing experience and plan to be back with more people!

This fast casual restaurant is fairly new. It is an Asian fusion restaurant with a variety of…read moreofferings, including dim sum, Boba tea, sushi, ramen, and more. My friend and I both ordered the brown sugar milk teas, barbecue chicken bun, and the chicken soup dumplings. We order at the kiosk or at the front desk and then seat ourselves. The food came out relatively fast. I liked the brown sugar milk tea boba, as it was tea forward, which I enjoyed. It was not overly sweet. I wish I could taste the brown sugar aspect more though. The barbecue chicken bun was decent overall, but I felt like the outside dough could have been softer. It felt a bit dry and not as fresh as I would've liked. The inside chicken seemed pretty well flavored. As far as the chicken soup dumplings, it was overall well flavored with the spicy chili oil and soy ginger sauce. Unfortunately, they got cold very quickly. Also, I thought that the sauces that we ordered would come on the side, not on top, which was not made clear when ordering. Overall relatively decent flavor for all the food and good pricing.
