So, I only tried 2 of the Mochinuts.. the glazed and the cookies and cream BUT I can confidently say they are probably all excellent just by texture alone. When I initially saw them I thought they would be hard, but NO NO NO they are so soft and squishy! Basically a perfect texture! They were pretty expensive at like $5 a single donut; however, just to try was worth it. The inside was a bit empty and the TV's seemed to be broken and damaged. The empty and not so appealing inside is why it is a 4 instead of a 5. The person who was taking our order was very friendly and made jokes with me and my friend when it came to his very poor signature which I thought was lovely customer service! I can't wait to come back when it is back to its former glory :)

Potato half and half

I had a craving to try something new and so I decided I wanted to try Korean hot dogs. I found Mochinut served them so I headed on down. I got a half and half with potato and Cheetos on the outside. The reason I'm giving a 4 star is specifically due to the hot dog and the unglazed mochinut. When you walk in, staff are friendly and greet you. The space is a bit sparse, reminiscent of a traditional doughnut shop but no tables to sit at. There is a backdrop to take pictures. On the side are two large screens which you order from. It took me a while to figure it out but I got it down. The glazed doughnuts or flavored doughnuts are a dream. The flavors are fresh and delightful. I didn't feel guilty after eating one, so I ate two more. I also got the ube bubble tea without the boba which was equally delicious. The unglazed and hot dog didn't seem to have much flavor and the hot dog was a god awful mess. They weren't horrible, just didn't seem to have any taste. I would definitely come back here for the glazed doughnuts and a cup of coffee with no sugar because I won't need it. The texture is chewy but not like gum. It definitely lived up to the mochi name!

Food: Delicious! I love the chewy texture of mochi, and it's in the form of donuts?! What's not to love lol. They come out with new flavors each week, just follow their IG. I came right as they opened so everything was fresh, I appreciate how light and not so sweet the donuts are. Service: quick and easy. Ambiance: Bright and clean, there is a cute faux flower station where you can take a quick selfie.

This is a restaurant that serves Korean style corndogs, mochi donuts, and bubble tea. The neatest thing imo is that you use one of the two touchscreen kiosks to place your order! **Average Cost(s): $10 **Order: $ -Original Rice Dog With Sugar ($7.00) This is what I came here for and it was superb. I really can't imagine eating any other style of corndog now. It comes with a sauce of your choosing. I strongly suggest trying one of the sugar covered corndogs. -Coffee Bubble Tea with Extra Boba ($7.50) The coffee milk tea itself was good, but the boba was a bit mushy and flavorless. **Seating: there is no seating inside or outside the establishment. This is very much a grab & go type of restaurant. **Location: located next to Jaz Tea in a very popular shopping center that has a lot of Asian owned businesses and restaurant. There is plenty of parking and it appears to be fairly safe. **Service: the brief interaction I had with the employee was pleasant.

Ohhh! A mochi donut place opened not too far from where we live! The only other one to my knowledge that's relatively close is one in Gig Harbor and you need to use a toll bridge for that. The donuts here are very good. We got half a dozen with five different frostings. All were very good and chewy like a good mochi donut should be. Probably my favorite one was the black sesame frosted donut. They also served some intriguing looking hotdogs but we didn't get any of those as we already made lunch plans so definitely for another time.

Was not busy on the weekend that we went. We ordered a brown sugar boba (3.5/5) and three cheese corn dogs (5/5). My husband's sauce was govhujang but might have been bbq. He was a little disappointed. The parm sauce I got with my corn dogs was good.

I got the Ube Horchata & 6 mochinuts

I saw some of the reviews, but I looooove the Ube Horchata as I never had a Horchata before but I tasted what seemed like rice milk & I enjoyed it since it was something familiar to me growing up in my Korean household- The donuts are not just pretty to look at, but this being my first time trying, I was surprised how similar texture to mochi whiile it looked just like any donut on the inside. The service wasn't horrible, they were fairly quick and we didn't have to wait long for our donuts & drinks, I will definitely order again to let my boyfriend try these!

Service was excellent & quick! Went there in the evening & they had over 10 different mochi donuts, freshly made.

Stopped by after a busy day of having to run errands around Tacoma and I'm so glad I did! When my husband and I first discovered this place I was in love. Thankfully my errands took me near the store so I stopped in about an hour after opening and thankfully they had lots of donuts still!! I've gone a couple hours after they've opened before and they have been sold out of everything so I wanted to make sure if I went, I didn't go too late. This was the first time I tried the Korean dog with mozzarella and marinara for dipping sauce and it was so delicious. I'm very glad I got it, I'm going to have to try a different one next time; they have a few varieties. Overall cute little shop with great service.

The Ube donut is so pretty!

How can you not like a mochi donut?? I'm indifferent when it comes to a regular donut, but when you make it fluffy and/or chewy, I'm suddenly ravenous, sugar high be darned. Was in the area and happened to spot the sign for Mochinut so I stopped in and picked up one of each flavor: Ube, Cookies and Cream, Chocolate, Funnel Cake, Cinnamon Sugar, and Original Glazes. We also ordered an additional ube and funnel cake to have on the way home without diving into the half dozen box. The ube was really tasty, but my favorite was the original glaze because I'm a sucker for the chewiness of the actual donut as opposed to the bread being a serving vessel and relying on the flavor and sweetness of the icing to bring it home. All of the flavors had just the right balance of sweet icing to donut, and you could easily eat one or two without getting to that sickeningly sweet stage that you'd normally get by eating a regular donut. If you like that chewiness from something like a rice cake (the Asian kind), then you'll love these. Give 'em a try!

Mochinut is finally in Tacoma! If you are looking for something different, this will definitely rock your socks. These are mochi style doughnuts. Not the usual donuts you are used to. The textures of mochi doughnuts are supposed to be light, airy, and chewy. These doughnuts are not too sweet and you can bite into them as is or tear each of the balls apart. They change flavors every week I think and will have atleast 6 different flavors to choose from at one time. You can purchase 1, 3, half a dozen or a dozen at a time. They also have korean style hotdogs, which if you have never had, I highly recommend trying them. It looks like a corndog, but the batter is different and they are called hot dogs not corndogs. They are deep fried till crispy. Then you can top it off with sprinkling of sugar and drizzle with your choice of sauce. The options in filling are sausage, mozzarella cheese, or half cheese and half sausage. The types of batter to choose from are between the original, ramen, potato, or hot cheetos. I have to say though that their hotdogs were okay, it's smaller and the choices are slim compared to other korean corndog places I've been to. They also serve boba here, which I have yet to try at any of the mochinut locations. But its good to know you can pretty much get all your fixins in one stop.

We didn't know there's a mochinut in Lakewood, it doesn't seem it's that popular compared with the one in south center or Seattle. Personally we don't think this place has the freshest donut, and they made different compared to the other two locations. It is okay for our liking. However the strawberry pound cake is pretty good out of the other 6 of them.

Had mochi donuts last week in honolulu.. So when I saw this place by boohan, I was excited. Visually, it looks similar, if not the same as the ones inside Macy's in honolulu. Taste wise.. a bit sweeter and more like a donut density. Maybe the ube was difference. They have kiosks you order and pay from. They shoot you a text when your order is ready. Parking can be a nightmare as it's in the boohan plaza on s tacoma way.
