love Love LOVE these decadent and rich brownies! They have so many delicious flavors and fun ways to add logos, photos, etc. I love the salted caramel and the coconut. I placed a large order of individual brownies with a special message on them for a cooperate event. They were a big hit! Ordering, payment, and delivery were all easy and quick. Well I have to start by saying who ever decided on their "look" did a great job! The shop is small but modern and their branding and marketing is fantastic, their look is so cool it made me want to eat what ever they were making! I kinda think a brownie shop is a hard sell for me...I make brownies at home...from a box... and they are delicious....so to go pay top dollar for this seems kinda crazy to me. But I still jumped at the chance to try them, I got a " white chocolate walnut" and was confused what was white choc? It looked like a regular choc brownie with walnuts, and it tasted like a regular brownie with walnuts. It was good, but not like spectacular blow me away good, maybe expecting too much? I'll have to try something else next time. They do really cool brownie rolls that are like sushi rolls, they are adorable and would be a great gift but be prepared to spend some money read more

Stopped by this tiny spot on our way to the library after lunch. Boy I am glad we did. What a bright, colorful spot that is new to downtown. Open just 2 months, this place is a treat, literally. Fresh brownies displayed in an open case make your mouth start watering the minute you walk in. They also have a display wall of the many items they can make as a special order - what a cute idea. Brownies in the shape of letters to display whatever word you would like. Happy Birthday, Great Job, etc. Know what I want for my next birthday! They also have a brownie "sushi" roll that comes in an appropriate "sushi" box even with chopsticks. So cute! The brownies were very tasty. Thin & rectangular, $4 each. I tried the Salted Caramel brownie, while hubby got the Irish Mint. He said he couldn't taste the mint, but I detected a mild hint along with a luscious brownie flavor. Mine was tops - just the right amount of sea salt to get that great burst of salty flavor every few bites. We got a brownie to go for our teenager - a smore one covered in mini marshmallows. She said it was terrific. The owner was so friendly and happy to explain all the different flavors and the variety of special orders they make. We will definitely be back. So hoping this little gem is able to stay for a long time. read more

I don't eat brownies. I DON'T EAT BROWNIES! I've hated them (and most desserts) since childhood. I rather eat cauliflower. Weird, I know. I hated brownies until I had Mocha Misk'i on two separate occasions. First let me say, I haven't been to their location. Soooo, I had their original brownie during an event at Holland & Knight. It was divine. The consistency was likely a fudgey brownie. Moist, chocolatey goodness. I left and almost* went back to get another. Fast forward a few days. My coworker (you know the one who brings all the sweets and insists everyone indulges) brought sea salt caramel brownies to the office. Why?! Why?! I ate two. No fake, boxed ingredients here. Again moist, sweet (a bit much for me) and the perfect mix of caramel...not overpowering. I'll have to stop in to their location soon. The message brownies sound like a great gift. read more

Choco-topia! A friend had posted on her Facebook that a brownie shop would be opening soon downtown. At first I was like, "Eh, brownies. Pass" but after seeing my mother's excitement I caved and decided to try it with her. She LOVES brownies. That's her go-to dessert when I was growing up. After checking out what they had to offer, I actually started to get excited as well. While brownies are not my favorite thing to have having something chocolatey. We parked by Hemming Park and across from MOCA and walked to the shop. They're located near La Cena so it was wasn't far. The shop is small but very bright and colorful inside. I did my thing by taking a bunch a pics while my mom told the ladies behind the counter, "There's your free advertisement. She'll post the photos everywhere." Heehee. They walked us through their current brownie flavors, their brownie rolls, and the message brownies. Message brownies are brownies that are alphabet-shaped that spell out whatever message you want them to say. That's pretty cool. My mom got about 4 brownie bars and I opted for the brownie roll. It's like a sushi roll and comes in different flavors. They also throw in some chopsticks to pick them up with. I got 4 different flavors: Oreo, Nutella, S'mores, and Misk'i 1901. That last one as explained on their website has a "tangy taste of Florida Oranges, covered in chocolate and drizzled with Sea Salt Caramel, a delicious combination that remind us when our city was rebuilt to become stronger and more beautiful than ever after the 1901 fire." Oh my what a description and what a dedication to the city. I love it. I ate part of the Misk'i 1901 and the Oreo, just to get a taste because I was still full from the meal I had prior and boy, oh boy. Absolutely amazing! Real chocolate and the brownies are so moist and chewy! I must go back. I heard that they have one with passion fruit in it and at the time we went they were having a problem with the fruit they currently had. I gotta try it. What are you waiting for? Go check this place out! read more

This is a great idea and concept! You can order a brownie roll (like a sushi roll) with cute chopsticks or a single brownie (~$4). As a result of the concept, I had very high expectations for the brownies and they were good (but they were not GREAT). My friends ordered a salted caramel brownie and it was hard. My order was very good, moist and not too sweet. The store had ~8 brownies on display and 1 brownie of the month. The decor is simple/cute with one table. The staff is very friendly and the packaging is very cute. The shop is a great idea for a gift! They also deliver! read more

Mocha Misk´i - a woman behind the counter - Desserts Near Me - Jacksonville, Florida

I've been to cookie shops and tons of cupcake shops and even a bundt cake shop, but this was a my first visit to a brownie-specific shop. You know what? They have really good brownies! The staff/store owner was friendly and provided recommendations on what was popular. Since I went during ArtWalk, there were samples but those had run out before I arrived. My choices were the mocha and caramel cheesecake brownies. These are tasty, not-dry-at-all brownies with a nice balance of sugar and chocolate. My try-be-healthier-brain allowed me to eat half of a brownie. But, I ate half of each and saved the rest for later . . . that night. These would make great gifts/treats for others so I will be back to pick up for friends and visitors. They have neat boxes and stamped bags so also would be a cool employee gift. 5* if there was ice cream available in store to top a warmed creation from the oven! read more

This definitely did not live up to the "social media" hype. We were very excited to try this place out, only to be disappointed. The cashier made us feel like we more of a nuisance than paying customers. We were a little indecisive and looked to him for some guidance on what he recommended but he was no help at all. After deciding we were going to get the brownie rolls, they were out of most of the flavors. Taste wise.. Eh, I don't know if it was because the customer service threw me off but it was not as expected. It wasn't moist or soft but rather dry and hard. I usually will give every place two chances but this I will not go back to. read more

I stopped in the other after walking by this place so many times. I had just eaten from a friends food truck and just needed something else. Mocha Miski fit that bill. I walked in and this is a very small shop but then how much room do you need. They had some brownies on the counter and some more in a case. The ones in the case looked different and then I saw the brownie sushi sign on then. How cool I just had to try one and that I did. I went right in for the oreo brownie sushi piece. Then I went onto the counter I'm guessing the fresher of the brownies. They look so good I was really pondering if I should just get one of each. An idea that the store owners would have liked but my wife would not have liked. So I went for the cowboy blondie. Now I like blondies both in my women and on my plate. That's why I'm married to a brown haired girl. Ok blondies. I most say that it was good, really good with nuts and crunchy parts, even some honey drizzled on top. But I really have to say that it's not a Jeff's Square. Good but....... read more

It's the staff that give this place its warm vibe, and it's the fresh baked daily variety of brownies that'll keep you coming back. We got a bunch to take home for dessert, and everyone was happy. I can't wait to have a chance to give their gift brownie box where the brownies spell out words like congrats graduate or Happy Birthday! This would be a five star review, but unfortunately, you can't get milk with your brownies, which I think is the perfect combo. read more
