Originally purchased (at a local, nearby Burnaby retailer) in late-2002, it is still doing it's thing well, and much-enjoyed today!! The purchase of this unit was the second of its type for me. The first unit was purchased in Corner Brook, NL, back in the 80's, when I lived and worked there. But when I was transferred back to the 'Mainland' in the early-90's, I let it move to a fellow worker there. I missed it!! and when I retired soon after, and moved back to BC, getting another unit was high up on my 'must get' list of things to purchase. So happy to have made this 'Panasonic' purchase -- the unit has been such a faithful helper in the kitchen!!

Good thing about this store is that they constantly have discounts on many accessories and have it be displayed at front. Over the past year or so, I've gotten a pretty legit wired gaming headphone for $18 + sales tax. I recommend going after iConnect one for that price as this is very solid for what it is and it feels like it should be worth double this (or at least audio wise, it's hard to beat this one). Haven't really fully tested the microphone yet but I wouldn't be surprised if it's at least somewhat modest where it works, but won't be able to beat a $100 pair, but just that it does the job. Would I suggest this store? Sure, if you're just here to pick up a random pair of headphones or other accessories where the prices are either decent to competitive, or if they were having one of the more rare but really good deals on something and this store happens to have it. The only major gripe I have is that you need to be very careful with some of the products you buy here (or at least the ones that is having a major discounts as they may be on a major discount for a reason) because some of them either will work well OR will only work for a short while before it breaks OR is a total dud where the item doesn't even turn on. And some of these items there's no 100% you can even return it because either there weren't any return policy OR you might've just missed it because it malfunction or broke right around the same time the policy ended. Point is that if you're planning to buy any of the cheapest tech they have on sale, best to buy it with a grain of salt as it is hit or miss. Only reason why I am giving this place more then 1 star is because I scored a very decent pair of headphone from these guys for $18 that does have a pretty decent audio while playing on my PS4 and other consoles. It feels and sounds like it should be worth $30~$35.

After listening to raspy shows for a couple of months, I found Ken's business online when searching for the service and someone local. Ken replied to my request for a quote quickly and came by for a service call where he was able to hear the issue for himself. He took the TV to do a more in-depth diagnostic, before replacing the speakers for me and testing to make sure they were working properly. He dropped my TV back off with me and allowed me to test while he was here to make sure I was happy with the sound. Ken is extremely knowledgeable, his prices are reasonable, and his service is awesome. I would definitely recommend!

Xing Fa Hang is one of several Chinese herbal markets on Victoria Drive in East Vancouver. Not the…read morekind of shop that I usually go to, but my parents really love shopping at these places since they live in Hawaii. The prices in Vancouver are much cheaper than what they pay for the same thing in Honolulu. They are also cheaper than in Seattle as well and given the USD-CAD exchange rate, the prices are even better. We checked out a different herbal shop nearby and many of the things were cheaper here. I feel like the bigger the store is, the better the prices are. So what is sold in these shops? Well there are some familiar things and some not so much. Shiitake mushrooms, dried anchovies, sea cucumbers are some of these things. Xing Fa Hang also has a good selection of Chinese medicines. The prices are better than the ones I have found in the International District in Seattle. Though higher than I found in HK, naturally since they are imported. They also sell candies by weight, cheap housewares from China and Buddhist ritual supplies. If you need to stock up on Chinese herbal products or medicines in the East Vancouver area, Xing Fa Hang is a good place to check.

The shop looked interesting from the outside, so we told each other that we'd take a look after a dimsum breakfast... Interesting it was! Lots of various types of merchandise... From dishes and decor to incense and paper money to burn at gravesites, Fuling Gifts & Houseware was a fun shopping adventure! I found a hair towel for my niece for $1 (Canadian money). The man at the cash register was funny and nice. He joked around and suggested that we buy a couple more towels... haha!

Definitely not for the claustrophobic. I think a big chunk of the goods are used too. Just a heads up. Guessing they stock a lot of their inventory from garage sales or the like. I liken the experience to digging through an old school Asian family's storage area. Their goods are mediocre quality (think just slightly below Canadian Tire), but their pricing is also very low. If one is looking for Asian household items, stores like these really can't be beat. I was able to find what I needed (after trying and failing at several other local stores) and was pleasantly surprised. The place is almost like an Asian version of a dollar store. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Special mention. Appears to be a family business. Good to check out if one needs Asian specific items.

One of the guys in the group is getting married. I wanted to get them something off the registry which was unique and something that they actually will use and like (non traditional). I picked up some used and new decently priced English and one Asian pop CD. The CD's won't help them sing better but they will have fun trying.
