I was very delighted when I discovered the shop at Aberdeen Centre, with the same spread and even some high end items in the back. Awesome! I have quite a collection from this store. Mostly bowls of all sorts, different diameters, depths, and slope of walls that I use for salads, ramen, pasta, and serving bowls. I also have (too many) of their boxed small condiment bowls that I use for the dining table and for soaps and trinkets. They are so pretty with high quality glazes. I have an affinity for girly colors, which unfortunately, that selection is limited. The normal colors are blue with whites and dark shades, according to the sales lady. If they have a wider color palate, this would be a 5 stars experience for sure. They do have a couple that have pink cherry blossoms and/or bunnies. There's nothing like eating your meal from dishes that make you smile. I highly recommend this store. :) Check out the pieces in the back wall behind glass. They are for sale with prices to match the behind glass status. An exception is a few piggy-banks that are not piggy shape. Those would make nice gifts.

I was very surprised they had five people working, as on a weekday they had almost no customers and it was a bit overwhelming the amount of stock they had. It didn't feel organized and streamlined like the Williams Sonoma stores are. I will say they were incredibly genuine and friendly so if this sort of kitchenwares store is your thing, I think you should definitely drop in.

This is precisely the kind of store that I really should avoid…read more It is dangerous. It is intoxicating. If you are into kitchenware, cooking and baking, entertaining, or serviceware, or if you are in need of a hostess or housewarming gift, be forewarned. You will find what you need (or want) here, and you will probably pay top dollar for it. And you will do so gladly. They have mainstream kitchen gadgets along with very precise and specific baking and cooking tools, along with fabulous Asian ceramic bowls and dishes and chopsticks and more. Ramekins in every color? Check. Contemporary placemats? Check. Pots and cutlery and kitchen scales and kitchen gadgets that I don't even know what they do but they look cool so I feel is definitely should get them? Check, check and CHECK! They carry a lot of OXO merchandise (I always liked the ergonomic nature of this brand's products, and they last a long time), and yes, some of these items are available at HomeSense at half the price. But they also have here obscure kitchen tools you can't find elsewhere. If you are seriously into cooking or baking, I'm sure you'd find what you need here. Some items are overpriced. I purchased two Swedish dishcloths here for $5.95 each. (They come in a ton of patterns and colors here, which is fun!). But I know these are inexpensive, and on my last trip to Bellingham, I got a set of three of them for $8. So they are quite pricey at this store. And I've seen some of their more common items for sale elsewhere at half the price they were selling for here. However, there were quite a few deals to be found at this store, too. They have lots of high quality tapered candles in different colors, only 99 cents each here. And they've lots of white ceramic dishware and serving pieces at extremely reasonable prices. If you search this store, you will find bargains. I have to add that the young ladies who work here are all super friendly and helpful, too.

Definitely not for the claustrophobic. I think a big chunk of the goods are used too. Just a heads up. Guessing they stock a lot of their inventory from garage sales or the like. I liken the experience to digging through an old school Asian family's storage area. Their goods are mediocre quality (think just slightly below Canadian Tire), but their pricing is also very low. If one is looking for Asian household items, stores like these really can't be beat. I was able to find what I needed (after trying and failing at several other local stores) and was pleasantly surprised. The place is almost like an Asian version of a dollar store. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Special mention. Appears to be a family business. Good to check out if one needs Asian specific items.

The shop looked interesting from the outside, so we told each other that we'd take a look after a dimsum breakfast... Interesting it was! Lots of various types of merchandise... From dishes and decor to incense and paper money to burn at gravesites, Fuling Gifts & Houseware was a fun shopping adventure! I found a hair towel for my niece for $1 (Canadian money). The man at the cash register was funny and nice. He joked around and suggested that we buy a couple more towels... haha!

What stands out is from this store is, all the snacks are not the normal ones you can get from TnT, Fujiya. It's not the largest store with the most variety but it has unique products. Prices are also more competitive than the other Japanese stores. Btw, they have discounted items that are near expiring that is crazy excellent pricing and I've never had an issue with. Free street parking on the front, next to a salon, and a sports racquet store.
