My uncle and I were visiting from Hawaii for medical care and found MobilitySource on Sunday. By Monday, we had a powerful and portable Go-Go Scooter. My uncle is 250 lbs and with my help, we were able to transport and load/unload the scooter in the back of our rental truck as we went between La Jolla and Los Angeles. The scooter kept charge for a very long time. We used it for a minimum of 5 hours every day and the power level never left green. Uncle enjoyed putting the scooter in "rabbit mode" which helped him to keep pace as I speed walked. Only. Trust. Gino. When I was ready to purchase a mobility scooter, Gino told me, "Even if you end up purchasing somewhere else, call me and ask me questions before you buy." I spoke to Gino several times, getting all the low-down on all the different types. He only goes with Pride, and almost all Go-Go Scooters. He educated me on several different types, including higher end, lower-end, 3-wheel, 4-wheel, compact, foldable, higher weight capacity and lower. Gino is the man you want to do business with. If you are renting over and over again from him, he will even try to convince you to purchase - with himself making less money on the deal, because it makes better sense for YOU, the customer. Gino rents hundreds of mobility scooters to San Diego Comic Con every July. It was there that I ended up personally renting one of his scooters, but sadly, through a phishing site. "Cloud of Goods" steals Gino's business, and that site charged me (for instance) an extra $100, and I never realized it was a phishing site until I actually spoke to a human being, Gino. He's available to contact almost all the time, and met me as pre-planned, on a Sunday, as it was my birthday. We drove down to San Diego from Los Angeles because that's how much I could tell that he's the businessman you want to trust. By giving him enough lead-time (a few weeks), he found a like-new Go-Go Scooter out of his rental fleet, checked it out, shined it up, and took me through test-driving it around the parking lot (while I was giving his new puppy, Duncan, a ride), and how to break it down. He gave me the details of where to push, and how much of a "feather-touch" the assembly should be, so I don't force anything that shouldn't be forced. It's been a few years since I rented a mobility scooter for my 85 year old father for a long weekend, but I absolutely recommend MobilitySource. We scheduled the four-wheel scooter to be delivered to our hotel along the San Diego waterfront. We did not rent a car. The scooter was waiting at the front desk when we checked in, and worked perfectly for our four day visit. We were able to just leave it at the front desk when we checked out to be picked up afterward. My dad had never used a scooter, and objected at first because he was certain that everyone was staring at him. Within a few minutes, after we raced each other along the waterfront (he could scoot as fast as I could run), he loved it. Without it, he could never have experienced the Maritime Museum ships, the USS Midway, a visit to Coronado, the boat cruise , or walks around the waterfront. So on our recent trip to San Diego from Phoenix, my wife rented a scooter from MobilitySource. It was a smart move, and this company was wonderful! We met Gino of MobilitySource at San Diego Comic Con when my combination walker-transport chair developed a really wobbly front wheel. It was hard to push and looked like it could fall apart at any moment. We stopped by Gino's station across from the ADA desk to ask if there was any place around where we could have it fixed. We would have gone anywhere! Gino immediately showed us what was wrong; we had guessed incorrectly. There weren't any nearby repair places, but he offered to take the walker home with him overnight to see if he had a used replacement wheel that would fit. We happily agreed and rented a wheelchair from him. It was a really nice chair, so much easier to use than the broken walker and very affordable. The next day we checked in with Gino. He had replaced the wheel, good as new, no charge! What a lovely person, and what great service. I would immediately seek out MobilitySource for any mobility needs in the San Diego area. I highly recommend this company! Gino is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He made renting a motorized scooter for my Dad so easy. There was some confusion with the booking company I used for the rental and Gino figured it out and got us exactly what we needed. I wish I would have booked directly with Gino from the beginning. He delivered the scooter quickly and took the time to model how to assemble and disassemble it. He answered all my questions and encouraged me to contact him anytime if there were any issues. He prepared us for our first excursion with the scooter and gave us many tips to optimize the performance of the scooter and its battery. My Dad used it at the San Diego Zoo and was able to independently explore the grounds. He had an amazing time. My Dad said if it wasn't for the motorized Scooter he would not have been able to navigate the Zoo with us throughout the day. He was very pleased with it. The Zoo has motorized scooters for rent, but only on a first come first serve basis. I were nervous about not getting to the Zoo in time to rent a scooter, so I rented one before hand. I am so glad we did. The scooter Gino recommended was easy to transport, assemble, and use. Arranging the pick up for the scooter was easy. We didn't have any issues with the scooter. I have used Mobility Source for almost 8 (?) years everytime we drive down for a Disneyland trip. I have one leg due to cancer and using my manual wheelchair just won't cut it in Disneyland! Sore arms for sure! I stumbled upon the Mobility Source website when I was first researching scooter rentals years ago and, although they are based in San Diego and not in Anaheim like other rental companies, I have been nothing but satisfied with their service and the scooters I've rented. I expressed my concern regarding fear of the battery dying in the middle of the park and just to calm my nerves, I was offered an extra battery should I need another. I never have. In fact, we rarely stay on property (Disney hotels) and even with all of the driving around the park, and to and from the hotel (we have kiddos that nap!), I have NEVER run out of battery. I've even gone two days on one full charge and still had half battery left. The scooters are excellent and well taken care of. (Last time we rented, a piece of the scooter ((a decorative part, I'm guessing? It was by the foot rest area)) was snapped off, but you could see the piece and I think it was done by one of the workers at The Candy Cane Inn ((they require you to park your scooters out of the room which his ridiculous - after I noticed the broken part, I kept my scooter in the room from that night on)). The seats are comfortable and some of styles have headlights (awesome for crowds at night!) and baskets (drinks, snacks, souvenirs, etc!). They go from turtle (slow) to rabbit (fast) and the fast setting is pretty speedy! They drop the scooter off at your hotel and it arrives before you get there and they pick it up after you leave! Their rates are WAY better than anyone around the park and are MUCH cheaper than the ones Disneyland rents. Great people own the company, great scooters, great service! I would totally recommend Mobility Source for anyone who needs a scooter for Disneyland or anywhere around Southern California. I will continue to use them for my scooter rental needs! read more

I have a temporary disability and I'm homebound due to mobility issues until I have surgery. I rented a wheelchair for a short period of time where I had professional events and out of town guests so I could get out of my house and be mobile. They process couldn't have been easier. I called and told them what I needed, and 2 days later they delivered my wheelchair (early!) locked to my porch since I wasn't home. Broke an ankle and injured my knee in a fall. The knee injury prevented me from being able to use a bent knee scooter for more than brief periods, and I'm terrible at using crutches. So I rented a power chair from Mobility Source. What a lifesaver! The chair was delivered to my home the day after I called. I was given ample instruction on how to safely use the chair and I had it for four weeks. I thought the price was very reasonable and don't know how I would have survived without it.
