This repair shop by far is superb in first class service, excellent costs (compare them to everyone one else, by far most competitive) and just generally friendly staff. I brought in a cracked brand new iPhone and Michael fixed it in 10 minutes and was gracious enough to show me the process. He also went the extra step and explained why they only use manufacturer products and how to better protect my phone. BEST price and customer service ever. I was from out of town but was going to be in Charleston for the weekend. I called ahead to get a quote, and mentioned that I would be here for the weekend. Brought my iPad in on a Friday at 5:45, and Michael met me at the store the next day (Saturday) with a replaced screen...really above and beyond putting the customer first. MobileR is a clean, hard working, and dedicated business that wants to please their customers and do great work. That's exactly what they did for my family and me. A family on a roadtrip from California, we are packed in our car. After dropping our iPhone onto a rock at a rest stop, the glass screen was shattered. We called to ask what they could do for us, and at not only a reasonable price, but the best price around, we picked them. Not only did the owner quickly replace the glass screen, he had a new battery, new screen protector, and cases to choose from! He didn't push us to buy more products, which is greatly appreciated, but he answered any of our questions truthfully. (We needed the products for better protection anyways.) Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Michael fixed my i-phone 7+ screen in 20 minutes and included a screen protector. The screen is solid and feels way more substantial than screens I have had replaced from other vendors (I drop my phone a lot). I did a little research and learned that some vendors use aftermarket screens which is why they continue to break so easily. Once exposed to an inferior screen, you can absolutely tell the difference. This guy charged me less and did more with better material than the competitor. I have a teenager so I will more than likely need repairs in the future. I won't go anywhere else. read more

Last year I cracked my iPhone screen and had it replaced at mobileR. 11 months later I dropped it and the screen popped off. I dropped it off to have it fixed (which was included in the warranty) and when I came to pick it up they had put an extra layer of "glass/protection" on my screen for free!! I have a 2010 Macbook Pro that hadn't been used in years. Kennedy was able to advise me on the best plan to get it back and running smoothly. He made me feel very comfortable and never made me question whether he had my best interests in mind or the company's bottom line. This was huge for me because I don't know much about computers or how much services/products should cost. The turnaround was a few hours, which was huge for me as I needed my computer for later that day. I can't say enough about the high level of service he provided. I wasn't particularly excited about having to pay to get the computer up and running but he made me feel confident as a result of the option that he laid out and the benefits of each. Now my computer is working great and I'm confident that it will continue to do so for years. If you have any type of computer or phone issue, I would definitely go in and see them. They inspired me to join Yelp. Don't look anywhere else. I was in town for a wedding and broke my iPhone screen. They volunteered to stick around after hours until I showed up. Support this place if you appreciate any of the following: 1) lowest price for repairs 2) a genuine local business 3) making an exception to help you after hours 4) friendliness 5) competitive prices for screen accessories (and free instalation) They also fixed the delete key on my Macbook and cleaned the fan while I waited for FREE. Unprompted voluntary service. I couldn't believe it. That repair alone would have cost me $300 at the Mac store. I tried to tip them and they deferred to giving it to the donations jar. With service like this they should (and will) put everyone out of business in the greater Charleston area. read more

What can I say...went for a trip home and literally as soon as i got there I dropped my phone in the airport parking lot. Shattered...destroyed.. I thought there was no hope! I asked friends around Charleston that night if they thought it could be fixed and where could I take it that wouldn't charge me as much as getting a new phone? I had a bad experience with MobileR in Mt. Pleasant SC. They said they could transfer all my files, folders, emails, photo's and music from my Microsoft machine to my new MacBook Pro - no problem I was told. WOW - they really messed up. Years of emails were lost forever as were important files and all of the music downloaded from the iTunes store. I posted my review which I thought would be relevant to the community yet YELP (which is where I found MobileR in the first place) and they refused to post it on the site blaming the issue on algorithms. Does that therefore invalidate YELP as a community resource? I thought the goal of the site was to provide accurate insights from customers to other Yelper's. BTW - MobileR does a good job with screen and battery replacements on mobile devices but software is not, as claimed, their forte'. read more

These guys are great! My guest was having a problem with her LG screen's responsiveness. We took it to MobileR based on Yelp reviews. They quickly took it apart, tightened screws, put it back together and returned it to us in less than 5 minutes - working fine. And, they didn't even charge of their time. I had been told that upgrading from Windows 7 to Windows 10 was not as easy as Microsoft would have everyone believe so I was not looking forward to the project. A friend recommended MobileR so I took my Lenovo laptop to them and spoke to one if the owners - Kennedy. Yep - no problem come back tom'w. When I returned the upgrade had not been completed. I was asked to come back the next day - it was "ready". When i got home I found that i had to adjust settings and tweak the machine. About 10 days later I went looking for a document in Word and found that not only was that document gone but about 20 or so others were gone as well - irreplaceable. Kennedy had told me he does upgrades regularly so i was confident in having him do the work. I learned two lessons - 1) back up your documents (I went out and bought an external backup drive) and 2) don't recommend MobileR to people you like read more
