If you need a battery or a bulb, they have pretty much everything you could want. They do have some Edison type bulbs, but if you're looking for a fancy kind of filament, you'll probably have to stick to the internet, as no one really has a large variety of stuff like that in stock. I like that they only carry major brands. So you get a piece of mind when it comes to longevity and performance. They also install batteries in fobs, etc. And they do cell phone repair. Lastly, the crew that works here is always knowledgeable and nice, no matter how busy it is. read more

Plaza at East Cooper, 621 Johnnie Dodds Blvd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464 About a week ago I had my screen replaced on my Iphone XS. Shortly thereafter, about 1 day. the screen turned blue and jittery. At the same time they fixed the screen, they offered a 49.95 battery replacement and I agreed to do it. I did receive a call from Diego the manager and said he wanted to discuss the screen issue with me. I stopped into store and asked for diego, the person at the counter pretended like he didn't hear me and proceeded to check me in to have the screen resolved. When I picked up the phone from the second time screen fix, I looked at the check-in document provided which shows that the clerk tested other features before accepting the unit for the screen redo - entirely understandable. I brough to the technicians attention, that his inspection showed that the battery health feature no longer works. Why didn't he TELL me this since he was the one performing the checks. After a bit of mumbling he said, that the new battery install process should have involved transferring old battery info onto the new battery but typically that doesn't work. Are you even telling customers that when they buy the iphone battery that you LOSE features. I asked for Diego again, again with no acknowledgement from the clerk. He said can put the old battery back in (which I think was a bluff since it was originally repaired a week ago) So he walked a step into the back room , made a U turn back to me he said the battery had already made it to the recycle source. I asked for a refund because your repair disabled the battery health features. He finally gave me a refund. I told him that this was still unacceptable, because the phone feature is permanently disabled THE STORY GETS BETTER. I left the store because at this moment I wasn't getting any resolution for this battery health issue. I was about a mile away and the tech who was also the person who checked me in, told me that he left two screws out. So for the THIRD time I went back. They will tell you that I was perfectly nice and was not disrespectful in any way. Here are my issues: 1) Why wouldn't the manager come out and see me ? 2) Why does it take 3 visits to resolve this simple repair ? 3) How can you sell a NON apple battery and NOT disclose that battery health feature is disabled? 4) Based on what your store did, I am stuck with a phone with a key feature disabled. How will batteries plus resolve this. Keep in mid that I have been a customer at this store and the MD store for over 18 years. I probably have purchased a dozen scree and battery repairs, golf cart batteries and other items I tolerate the VERY high markup on some battery purchases, but Amazon is way lower for comparable product. I don't mind paying more, I am getting value. In this case you can see, that this transaction didn't go well along with a failure to disclose third party battery problems. I was in and out in less than 5 minutes and my watch works great and we won the regatta that weekend! Super important. My daughter cracked her IPhone and we were shopping for a place to repair it in Mount Pleasant and found out that Batteries Plus provide the service at a cheaper rate that many places. They will also give you a $10 discount if you set an appointment. Phone was scheduled to be picked up 45 min after drop off. No issues with the repair, great service. *To my surprise they do more than just batteries (hence the plus) Quick update to the review. The phone started not working three days later. We spoke with someone who said to bring the phone and let them check it out. Our daughter is at a summer program in college so we were able to pick up the phone from her a few days later to take it back. They took a look and said it was dropped again which was not the case and tried to have u pay for the repair again and asking why we didn't bring it in immediately. After "disagreeing" for a while they decided to fix the problem as a warranty exchange which In my opinion should have been automatic. Would not suggest this service to anyone since they can't stand by their work! read more

Anyone contemplating an iPhone repair at a Batteries Plus Bulbs would be wise to reconsider due to their subpar refurbished "unbranded" replacement parts! My young, inexperienced daughter brought her iPhone X to Batteries Plus Bulbs (#233) in Mount Pleasant to replace an original battery that had swelled and was starting to separate her iPhone OLED screen from its frame. Colton Cantrell convinced my daughter to also replace this screen even though there was no apparent issue or damage to it. Fast forward several months, the lower section of the replacement screen is now disappearing in both corners and the screen component is separating apart from itself (not from the frame) causing the touch screen to malfunction unless pressed together (see photo). I brought the phone back to Batteries Plus Bulbs and spoke directly with Colton who confirmed the replacement screen was clearly defective, but would not replace or honor the warranty because of a single fine hairline crack at the top of the screen (see area circled on photo). Colton admitted that the hairline crack was not causal to the defective replacement screen and only suggested I should pay hundreds of dollars more to replace it with another of their identical inferior screens! I'm writing this to simply warn others needing phone repairs that there are many other competent companies in the Charleston area that not only back their warranties, but use original or higher quality replacement components that will provide you years of reliability - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! FYI - the replacement screen is a lower resolution LCD (not an OLED screen) with a substandard glass surface that will crack easily. The replacement "unbranded" battery gets a lot warmer in your hand than the original did, however it is still currently working. read more

Last year, we received a direct mail piece advertising several great deals on AA and AAA batteries which we actually needed. The timing was right as my car key fob was on the frizz and frankly, I was tired of dropping close to $20 for a battery at Baker Motors each time the 'check key battery' prompt appeared on my dashboard. So, with postcard in hand, I decided to check out Batteries Plus Bulbs, a specialty chain, located a few doors down from the PINZ bowling center on Johnnie Dodds, near Shelmore. What a find! They sell batteries of varying sizes and volts for everything in our home requiring DC power ... electronics, watches, cell phones, and cameras ... as well as batteries for obsolete and out of production appliances (of which I have). In addition, there's an entire wall, displays and shelves full of light bulbs for every possible use. I noticed two men working the floor which I think are the franchise owners. Both have assisted me during my visits. Each was knowledgeable, friendly and gently cross sold without making me feel pressured to increase my purchases. I love the lifetime warranty that I purchased for my remote car entry key fab battery. I think I paid around $20, for the warranty ... well worth the price. While I was in the store today, I noticed that they offer a cell phone and tablet repair service with warranty. Great concept! Great prices! Great service! Check it out! read more

I went to have a new battery installed in my 2006 Mercedes C230 as part of their advertised free installation offer. Granted, this is not an auto store; however, if you offer a service, you should be able to provide it. This store could not. I had to repeatedly tell the employee he wasn't loosening the battery terminals. "Righty-tighty" was a foreign concept. I eventually had to remove and install the battery myself with their tools, which were more appropriate to a child's toy toolbox. I was charged a core charge for my old battery, even though they were "installing" it on premises... It was refunded; however, that required another trip to the register. All in all, VERY disappointing service. read more

Price for iPhone 6 Plus is more that Apple Store and if there is ANY wobble corner to corner that suggests the phone case is bent, BatteriesPlus will not warranty its work--that means if it breaks the next day you pay to fix. Apple does no such test, maybe so that Apple users stay Apple users, but with a broken screen, who cares! Skip BatteriesPlus and find another place. read more

What a fantastic chain! Plus, the staff at this location is uber helpful and able to multitask. My husband has used them to rebuild power tool batteries and we stocked up here for hurricane season supplies. Most recently, I needed to replace the battery in my car key fob. When I walked in, the guy was helping a customer on the phone. Willing to wait, I went to the counter with my keys. I didn't even have to say anything. He took my keys, I nodded my head and before he finished the phone call he had replaced the battery. For a reasonable up charge, they will replace the battery for life. Since the battery dies annually, it's a good deal. Once the info is in their computer, they will replace the battery at any of their stores. read more

Don't bother taking a watch to get batteries here. Brought in some watches but would not work on two of them. Employee said they will not work on a watch valued at over $100. They apparently have f'd some up in the past so had to tell him that two of them were under that value. That should have been first clue but decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. Wrong decision cause the guy could not open the lids to either of the two watches he was given. Then he wanted to know if I would come back when a more experienced employee comes in. What a waste of a job and my time. They should inform customers of their limited capabilities. read more
