This was kind of risky; at the time, I also had two machines in their service department, and an angry service manager is a dangerous manager...he could have gotten his revenge by delaying the return of my two quads indefinitely. But that was not the case. The very next day after my review, I received a call from General Manager Dewey. Not only did he apologize profusely for my experience, he also offered to try to set things right. Sadly, I had already made my purchase from another dealership. But Dewey didn't let that stop him from personally making sure that my other business with his dealership was taken care of promptly and efficiently. Together with Bobby, they showed me that they DO care about my business, and I am once again a happy customer. I've read several other reviews about MotorCity; while I sympathize with the plight of the writers, I have to wonder if maybe their issues could have been better addressed with a direct conversation with Dewey. I am very satisfied with the results. Dewey has saved my business, and once again I will consider MotorCity Powersports if/when I need service or an accessory. Thank you, Dewey; thank you, MotorCity!

He did not speak down to me, nor did he try to sell me repairs that were not necessar, which is important to me, as I am a woman who is absolutely clueless in these matters. I will definitely be going back for future repairs and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for honest and trustworthy auto repair work.

So, no...I do not enjoy being considered a 'dumb female' that knows what I'm hearing, seeing, smelling, or experiencing with my vehicle. This 'All Man's Shop'...should have just told me that they were not available to 'Fix my Vehicle', rather than take my Cash monies and documented payments for whatever they did or didn't do to my Jeep Grand Cherokee...And how they handle complaints--take the police with you so they don't try standing over you and staring you down, asking if, 'You are being aggressive and want to start issues!' So yeah, this was my experience and all I needed was a receipt with details and a list of itemized services that was performed...making general and vague receipts is totally unprofessional, guess so no one can say they didn't do any one thing to any vehicle they claim they are in business to repair or fix.

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had…read more My vehicle was towed after I parked on a residential street in front of my friend's house where I've parked many times before. There are no signs indicating that parking was prohibited on that side of the street. When I first contacted the tow company, I was quoted approximately $100 to retrieve my vehicle. I was told I could come get it the next day. However, when I attempted to retrieve it, I discovered they would not release the vehicle that day, despite their website indicating they operate 24 hours. No one had informed me there was a cutoff time or that additional storage charges would continue to accumulate. By the following day, the amount due had jumped to approximately $370. The most disturbing part wasn't even the money--it was the way we were treated. From the moment we walked into the office, the staff were immediately hostile, argumentative, and confrontational. Instead of calmly answering questions, they repeatedly accused us of lying and escalated what should have been a straightforward vehicle release into an unnecessary confrontation. It felt like they had no interest in explaining the charges or resolving the situation professionally. I simply wanted to understand why the price had nearly tripled and why I had not been told about the additional fees when I called. Rather than receiving clear answers, I was met with hostility and they assaulted my friend surrounding him right in his face trying to get him to fight them. It was so messed up! If you ever have the misfortune of dealing with this company, document everything. Ask for itemized receipts, write down the names of everyone you speak with, record the dates and times of every phone call, and verify every fee before you hang up. I certainly wish I had. Avoid this company at all costs, they are crooks.

Now for the bad, and let me preface this by mentioning that I spent a good portion of my adulthood racing and working in various bike shops. And I was the service manager in one, so I have a LOT of bike mechanic experience. If I were the service manager of this shop, I'd have fired the person who built my bike. Today I bought a particular TREK MTB at this store, because unfortunately my usual store didn't have one and couldn't get one. First problem: you are NOT supposed to use grease on a carbon seatpost with a carbon frame. It's LITERALLY PRINTED on the back of the seatpost, though it's something any good mechanic should know anyway. Sure enough they assembled it with tons of grease, and within just a 1 mile ride, the post slid down a good inch. So I degreased the post, and put 'carbon paste' on it to keep it from happening again. Second problem (picture attached): they mounted the remote shock lockout outboard of the brake lever, which means there's nowhere for your thumb to go when you wrap your hand around the grip. A simple look at the TREK website shows it's installed wrong. And switching them around after requires removing the grip. Sometimes that can be done without destroying the grip, sometimes it can't. So I've already had to buy new grips to fix their mistake. There were several other minor things that never would have been acceptable at my shop, but this is long enough already. I guess if you're looking for a very basic shop, or if you have your own mechanical skills, they're an acceptable choice. Otherwise, I'd highly suggest you look elsewhere. Oh, also, to make it even more insulting, they try to sell you a $150 tune-up plan, which just means you pay up front to have them continue to provide you with subpar repair service. Disappointed mostly because working in a bike shop was always more than just a blow-off job to me. Sad to see that's not the case here. I won't be back.
