I would like to start out by saying it's rare these days to find companies that not only meet expectations but exceed them, but that is exactly what ABC Harley Davidson in Waterford has done for me. I recently purchased a beautiful 2019 Softail Heritage Classic and experienced the smoothest and most pleasant purchasing process. Already knowing the platform, I asked the team at ABC to work with me on negotiating the absolute best price possible, and to do so via email as my availability to come into the dealership was limited. The team at ABC didn't miss a beat, and between Mike Thorpe, Brent Richardson and Kevin McKane, we ended up with a win-win for both sides, all before stepping into the dealership. On the day I went in to sign the paperwork, I was immediately greeted by Brent and taken back to look at the bike. The new bike was back in the shop having been prepped and detailed and looking great, ready for delivery. The fact that they trusted me enough to show up, and therefore take the time to make the bike ready for delivery was awesome. From there, we went upstairs and within 15 minutes, the paperwork was done and a new sale was celebrated. I spent a good hour in the dealership post-sale, getting to know staff in parts, service and accessory sales. Erin in Motorclothing is awesome and has a smile to boot. Their merchandise offerings are excellent and she and the staff very friendly. She is actually the reason I decided after shopping for clothes, to buy my new bike from them. At the parts counter, the team was very helpful with purchasing some upgrades (LED lighting for tail/turn lights), and Brian pulled out every stop to get the best pricing and discounts. He was also very helpful in identifying the installs that were easy for me to do myself, thereby cutting down on labor costs. Who does that any more?! At the time of the sale (a Saturday), we had setup delivery of the bike for that following Wednesday. As I was finishing up at the parts counter, Lonnie Edwards approached and said they'd be happy to delivery the bike that afternoon! It turns out he and Annette, the assistant manager had figured out how to make that happen and go above and beyond. This is the type of team they have there folks! Delivery was smooth, the bike performs great and I've been back since for additional purchases. They've earned my business and will have my repeat business when it's time to trade my Heritage in (not likely) or to buy another (much more likely). Thanks guys! read more

First visit, attending a great event for 101 WRIF this summer - trying to win a Harley. It was crowded but the shop handled everything just fine. My husband and I took a group test drive on one of the CVO limited models. We are ready to trade in his current motorcycle for this one by the end of the ride. Sales guy was great with information and no pressure. Pulled up some numbers and answered all of our questions. Great selection of apparel and gear for me to shop while he talked shop. This place is the bomb! They're friendly, work fast and they're in a great location. I took my new 2020 road king in for a 1,000 mile shake out and last second decided to do the stage one upgrade. They not only got it in right away, to get me out riding again, the bike feels better, sounds better and preforms better. I can't say enough good things about this place. read more

So...I go to the parts department and order air lines and valves... before I ordered.."I ask how long?"..( because I had plans for out of town travel)..I was told..3-5 days.. okay I said... perfect!...I place the order,4 days later I call to ck the status of my order to find out they are on back order until the 20th... does anyone one else see a problem with this?..the other was placed on the 2nd..I would think out of courtesy they would have called and told me!!..I could have gotten them somewhere else....I wish Dennis and ABC Harley Davidson was still there... never had a problem with them in 15 years...point made. read more

This is my second great experience with ABC Harley. I live near Chicago and about 10 years ago I rolled into ABC with a mechanical problem. They took good care of me and had me on the road again quickly. Last night my clutch started slipping and I ended up here again. The bike was on the lift before I finished paperwork. What I appreciate most is the staff being straightforward and honest with me. The service writer gave me good info on maintenance and the mechanic talked to me about the bike in a respectful but very clear way about his "suggestion " to avoid this in the future. I love it when I feel like I'm talking to a brother. Great job ABC. read more

I thought I'd update my review, since I just bought a new bike from Pops at ABC. Their selling style is straight forward and totally open. Price tags are hanging on every bike, and unlike other dealers, they don't jack up the base price of the bike and try to hide what you're actually paying for the bike itself. This dealership wants happy, repeat customers. How refreshing! I will never go anywhere else for parts, service, clothing, or a bike. They've earned my trust and my loyalty. Don't beat your head against the wall doing the "sales manager shuffle", haggle for hours, and wonder if you eventually got a fair deal. Do yourself a favor....avoid the mega stores and head to ABC for a relaxing, enjoyable buying experience. read more

Worst customer service ever. Been a customer for for years, spent almost $3000 this year. Call for service appointment and was told they will no longer work on my bike because it's over 10 years old and they were trying to get me to buy a new bike . If I do it won't be from them. read more

I had my 2003 Fatboy in for service and when I picked it up, it was missing a clock I had installed. The dealership did not inform me of this put me off for 2 weeks without any update unless I called. Nothing has been rectified or changed. This unfortunately has tainted any good work that was done on my $1000+ repair. read more

ABC Harley's service department needs to be investigated for damaging customers bikes, lying to our faces, replacing perfectly good parts that didn't even need replacing, and then not taking any responsibility for their wrong doing and getting angry when you catch them in their lies and call them out, the service manager Walt has declined to work on my bike after catching his mechanic Tom destroying my bike and lying to my face!!! I'm gonna leave them negative reviews all over the web and may even seek legal counsel for what they have put me and my bike through! I have given ABC Harley too many chances to redeem themselves, and have given them a lot of my money in the past 9yrs, but they will never see me or my money again, I will do whatever it takes to let everyone know what kind of crooks they are!!! read more

On April 21, 2013, I took my 2007 Road Glide into your ABC Harley for service. I took it in to have a rear tire replaced and the front and rear brakes to be done. It took the dealership professionals over 4 hours to complete these simple tasks. Prior to doing so, they instructed me that the tire that I had purchased was a garbage blemished tire. While bleeding out my brakes, they leaked brake fluid onto my inner fairing, destroying the paint on my inner fairing and ruining my glove box compartment door. After doing so the service writer on duty, Justin, told me that they were going to order me a new door and replace it the following week after the part came in to make right. The following week I arrived to have the damaged part replaced, by ABC Harley, when I was sadly mistaken by the Service Manager, Walt. He informed me in the most condescending way possible; that I was just trying to get something for free and abruptly asked me to leave. Of course I was outraged, and demanded an explanation. His response, "I don't have to give you one. Get off the property or I will call the Police." At which point another worker came out and made sure that I left the premises immediately. I was extremely upset and had a few choice words for him, but I think anyone in this position would feel the same way... I fee absolutely hoodwinked. I brought my motorcycle in, and paid a large amount of money for services to be rendered (Over $300.00) and they were not. Not only was I at the dealer for hours to have these simple things done to my bike, but they damaged it while doing so, and refused to replace it. So basically I payed to have my bike damaged. Not only would I never take my motorcycle or buy a single thing from ABC Harley again, but I would never recommend you to anyone, not even my worst enemy! The service manager "Walt" should not have a job there. To be so rude and condescending to paying customers gives the dealership a bad reputation. I told Walt that I would not be doing business with your dealership ever again and his reply was "that is good." I'm writing this in hopes that somebody will recognize the wrongdoing and take the necessary steps to not let this happen to anyone else again. In the meantime I suppose I am on my own for my damaged inner fairing that was done while the brakes were being worked on... read more

Love this place I get great service and the person that handles the marketing is on her game. The service manager Walt know his stuff. My bike run great love it. A1 service! Great products! Just got my sportster serviced. They went above and beyond the service I had done to my bike and also pointed out some future and present repairs necessary to keep the bike safe and running properly. They didn't charge extra for some of the work they had to do to complete the service. All in all, the staff is great, the store is awesome, the events are fun and the service is top notch. Worse sevice center ever!!!! My bike has been there since May 29th, 2012. All that needed to be fixed was the clutch cable leak, Front and Rear Master Cyclinder Leak, Case and Primary Leak, and oil change. My bike has been up there for over 3 weeks, going on 4 weeks. I have had to call the dealership every 3 days to get status on my bike and still no bike!!! Never go there!!!!! read more

I was buying a brand new Electra Glide Ultra Limited and live in Alaska, after talking to a few dealers I found these guys very helpful and easy to talk to. The salesman (Scott Reeser) did a great job finding exactly what I was looking for and at a price I was comfortable with. He held the bike till I arrived from Alaska. When I arrived, my new bike was sitting on the show room with a "SOLD please do not touch" sign on it. They gave a very good walk through of the bike and how to work everything. The lady at the front counter ( I cant remember her name) was awesome, she ordered our jackets and had them waiting for us when we arrived. it was great seeing everyone after talking to them many times on the phone. All the staff was smiling and happy to see me when I arrived. All the people I talked to and dealt with while I was there was talkative, smiling, and friendly. I didn't get to deal with the service department much, just the intro on the bike but the lady that helped us was great. They got us all set up and when we were out front, they helped us get a few pictures with our new bike. One great thing was a random customer bought us a bell for our bike and the staff was happy to hang it for us before we left. Unbelievably poor service, and especially, by a service manager that shouldn't be even allowed in the door. They've had my bike for nearly four (4) months, and can't fix a simple starter/starting problem. They blame every component that is NOT an OEM part, and then expect me as the owner to get them the replacement parts, and then, when they still can't fix it, they say they are going to button it up and give it back to me - unfixed!!!!!!! What a POS shop! Stay away...very far away!!!! I am makig a formal complaint to Harley Davidson, and I hope the Service Manager gets fired - not demoted!!!!! read more

Took my 03 Road King in for their 42 point inspection.After getting a few things fixed that were supposedly wrong,went and picked up and not even 20 later on way home the damn rear brakes locked up on me.And now I'm broken down on side of road.So after getting bike trailered home they picked up next day.3 days later I was informed that my rear brakes were under specs along with my front rotor. So after they wanted to recharge me for work that should have already been done to recheck my bike.Then they said my bike was unsafe to ride like that,and that no where does it say that on paper work from being there first time...Would Never give this place any sort of endorsement,or will I ever return to this place ever again.....Took to a real Harley Davidson dealership and explained my issues and showed all paperwork to them as they laughed and heads shaking in disbelief,promising to take care of me....Service department at ABC Harley Davidson is a joke and huge rip off....Mike H. read more

Please stay away from this dealer!!! On 3 separate occasions they made huge mistakes with my two motorcycles. The second time they made me pay for $500 worth of labor after they put on the wrong handlebars that I had requested over the winter to approve when they got delivered. Seeing as how once the handlebars are mounted you can't return them I specifically said we have 4 months of the winter to make sure we get this right so please call me before you mount them. Of course they did not do that . When I brought in the correct handlebars that I wanted they charge me $500 more to put them on . The most recent time after having new cables and a brake line put on my Harley, the brake line was leaking after 120 miles of use. They charged me $100 for the labor because that's their policy. I accepted that, but when I came to pick up the motorcycle and it had a dead battery they they refused to do anything with it. The simple answer was that's not our fault and you should go to another dealer. So I had to jump my motorcycle in the parking lot of the dealership that just repaired it. The customer service is terrible and the general manager Gary and service manager Walt, will do nothing but. Your call. Do yourself a favor and save yourself the trouble, go down to Motor City or Biker Bob's and at least give good customer service read more
