From the moment I walked into the shop, at first to check them out mind you, until the moment my work was completed (Had tires changed on my BMW rt1150 motorcycle) I have never had a more pleasant vehicle maintenance experience ever!!! They performed a check on my bike. Made expert recommendations without trying to get the most money out of me while I was there. Most service centers would charge for that. Even told me I did not require an oil change when asked to do one. They replaced and balanced my tires for less than the quoted price. Have you EVER heard of that anywhere. While I was there he first day for about 40 minutes and about 2 hours the second day. Customer after repeat customer came in. All where greater like family. I immediately felt like a first cousin because here I was a first time customer being giving long time customer treatment. There is old school customer service being exhibited here. That will carry a business far if customers feel important respected and High Voltage takes the time to respect everyone that comes through the door. I do not give many written reviews. However I am so impressed by this family owned business that I felt compelled to give notice and I will be a strong word of mouth proponent as well. So please know this is not a planted review. This is a well-run small business. The people here were very kind and seem to enjoy working here. They treated me as if I was a friend as I asked questions about options for repairs and gave solid explanations for why my moped was not running. I found the shop extremely charming, with a beautiful array of mopeds for sale. My housemates who helped me get the moped to and from Detroit Moped Works are now lusting after mopeds, especially now that they know how economical mopeds are (faster and cheaper than most electric bikes, insurance not required in Michigan, $15 for 2-3 years of registration with the Secretary of State, good mileage and smile-age, and they tend to retain their value). I am happy to zip around Ann Arbor on my now-working Vespa!

At any rate the bike was advertised correctly and the pictures represented the motorcycle exactly. I came into the shop and spoke the owners about the motorcycle. The owners were very up front about the motorcycle even providing a brief history. The Harley looked exactly like it did in the pictures, pretty much like new. While I am not a great price negotiator, I feel I did get a very good price based on my market research on that make/model. The fact that I was dealing with an experienced seller rather than a guy on the corner certainly gave me more confidence in writing the check. Since the weather outside is cold, I have only driven the motorcycle up to the corner and back. The Harley runs great and starts up easily. Finally, the owner of A & J was kind enough to deliver the motorcycle about 20 miles to my home with no additional charge. All the paperwork was handled in a professional manner and my title arrived in a timely manner. If your a serious buyer and want to make a deal with confidence that your not buying someone else s problem, I would strongly recommend you consider this motorcycle dealership.

You can tell that he knew what he was doing just by looking at his shop and all the scooters he was working on. He also gave great insight on some areas of my scooter that I hadn't really considered. Some really cool stuff that will enhance my ride and keep it running smooth. I've had many Harleys over the years and have always found it EXTREMELY difficult to find a Dealer or a Person that is as passionate as you are when it comes to your Ride. You can tell when you walk in A&J that they are committed to delivering you quality service and a great product. You can clearly see the pride he takes in the service he provides and delivers. Stay away from these people. 1st I receive a quote for changing handlebars and a time of 2 days. Ok…read moreI bring in my bike and start calling 2 days after. Still no parts the lady said. On 5th day I call to hear the same and I tell her don't touch my bike I will pick it up after work. She says she needs to check and see if its been started being worked on. Well Im right down the rd .. 5 min away I ride over and see my bike outside untouched. Ok at 4pm she calls saying oh yeah he's been working on it and my cables showed up. I leave work and stop over and see he pulled the cover off my fairing. 5 min work after being told don't touch it. So now my trip is planned and leaving Friday. Ok.. call 2 days later on Friday. He's on it, just yours to get it done. Ok. I call at 5 pm she says he's on it I don't like bugging him. Ok I get packed up and go over and see my bike the same way but just on a lift. Nothing but the fairing cover off. I try my best to hold my anger. So leave and call sat at 12pm. He's almost done she says. Call at 3pm no answer. Call at 4 no answer. Go up at 5 the dude in back is bitching saying Im rushing him. I ask when will it be done. Says he will call. Ok. Sat comes and around 5 pm And leave a message of well guess I paid for a room at blessing of the bikes in baldwin for nothing. 9pm they call saying my bikes done but ignition isn't because of no key but come get it.. I go up with my trailer. Takes me 20 min to arrive from drive time. I have 2 calls from them saying they wanna go home to hurry. I pull up in the back and see them with my bike. I help them install my ignition. Yeah. I had to do it.. then start my bike up and she comes standing in front of my bike holding the handlebars telling me I need to pay the bill of $1600. Yeah double the quote due to cables.. UNREAL!!!. Then the argument starts cause I can't even test ride my bike. My truck and trailer are there. So after listening to her bitching. Cussing. I figured I pay over going to jail she starts walking off I yell and say where's my receipt. She says she needs a pen and goes out the front door and left me without anything. Then 2 days go bye with rain and I take my bike for a ride. My new exhaust falls off. He didn't tighten or use lock tight on the bolts he removed to install my clutch cable. Then my clutch handle isn't working properly. Sticking everything I squeezed it closed. My front brakes are leaking. Its unreal.. I call and she answers and starts off with (YOUR THE POS FUCKER TALKING SHIT THE OTHER DAY. IM NOT DOING SHIT BUT CHARGING YOU TO REPAIR THE ISSUES. SAYING MY CABLE STRETCHED SO YOU WILL PAY. I TOLD HER WE'RE GOING TO COURT AND HUNG UP.. AND YES I HAVE ALL THIS RECORDED.. THEN THE GUY FROM THE BACK. HE CALLS TO START SAYING I DONE THIS AND THAT THOUSANDS OF TIMES. Being in the automotive repair arena for 36 years I was very skeptical on what to expect out of this unknown repair shop. What I found it to be was a no stress simplistic shop that every step of my no crank issues was explained clearly to the way I would have done it. They even caught a few needed repair issues that I knew was needed. Was overwhelmed that Achmed performed follow up phone calls to see if everything was repaired correctly. Outcome, ... zero hassles or issues. I have read the flimsy negative comments and found them to be "the lack of communication along with expectations from the customer". Want good results, ... tell Redford Auto Repair everything what is going on with your vehicle don't hold back thinking the bill increase. ... And if you don't understand ask them to explain in simple words. If that doesn't meet your expectations, ... there is always the vehicle dealer at twice the cost.
