So, during my bike ride at tree farm, I somehow managed to get a puncture on my back tire. Luckily…read moreI was only a mile into the trail when it happened. Did the walk of shame back to the start line. Next day, I walked my bike bike over since I do only live a few blocks away from this establishment. Plus they did a really nice job on my old shopping bike that I wanted to bring my serious trail bike over to them. They found my puncture, they said it's not recommended to patch something like that. So they put in a new inner tube and purchased an extra one just in case it happens again on the trail. They even fixed my chain since it seems to be slipping off gear when I was riding it back. I do like this shop and I would do business here again. Thank you so much for reading my review. I hope this helps with your decision making experience. Enjoy your awesome yelptastic day!

I bought a child's bike here after going through 2 at another discount store. The first bike I…read morebought my 4-yr old granddaughter's brakes seized up...took it back. Got a refund. She hardly rode it. The second bike I bought for her.....the chain broke and since it was mostly plastic, I couldn't figure out how to fix it. Took back. So....figured I'd try a better bike and went to Petri. Paid over $300 for a really cute child's bike that I loved, she loved, and it didn't look cheap. Well, she had it for less than 2 months (and had only ridden it a few times) and the front hand brakes broke. She probably fell off of it, and.....WHY would anyone think front brakes like that are a good idea for a 4-year old little girl, who will be falling off her bike all the time? Tried to fix it....first time worked, second time failed. Anyway.....she managed to break this bike, too, so today, I took it back to Al Petri and Sons and they recommended just taking the front brakes off and using the regular manual foot brakes. Which I agree...makes more sense. I really do not recommend any child having hand brakes as they are too fragile, in my opinion for a child. They very graciously took the hand brakes off and advised just using regular brakes, which, hey, worked for me as a kid....while I waited. In fact, I think I had my first bike for over 10 years. For some strange reason, my grandson, who is only a year older than my granddaughter....his bike with a front handbrake is still fine. Don't know why, but was impressed with how easily I got a solution since I didn't want to be taking this bike back all the time when my granddaughter broke it. Just a turn of the wheel, can break it. Thanks Petri and Sons. They fixed it for nothing, and I their recommendation was the same as mine.

Giant makes a mediocre bike for a good price. Not great but good enough. The service here at this location almost matches the product. I took the bike back 2 times for shift adjustments, both times the chain measured as expanded, both times no new chain. Both times they did not offer a new chain under the 1 year warranty nor was one offered for any price. The only reason I let it go the first time was to see if they would do it the next time. The second time they made adjustments I just took it elsewhere and gladly paid for what was needed. Bonus: The bike I bought was 1 size too big for me. And I'm 6'2". I assume they had a messed up order and they needed to get a silly sized bike out the door. Enter my inexperienced self to take it at full price. In retrospect I believe the little sales guy positioned the seat on the other properly sized bike incorrectly enough to lean me in the wrong direction. I am sure of it. Why would he put me on one too big at first then the other right sized one after if he wasn't pulling a ruse? Anyway Every trip back to that store revealed more disingenuousness in the little sales guy and the owner. The owner is rude and lacks people skills. High note the most satisfying purchase there was the strap on rear light from a box on the counter. (It's not a front light) Next year I'm fixing this with a bike from specialized most likely. The only half interested in helping people person there was the mechanic in the back, he should be selling stuff not the other guy. I mean it was a little short sighted on his part to do that. I figured it out a month latter and confirmed it at other shops. I have money and a family of kids who need bicycles. Whoops!
