The staff here were just great and helped me out with an annoying problem with my phone at zero…read morenotice. They were unfailing polite about it too. Real 5 star place. I'm an apple fan. I've all the technology I need and it's fantastic kit. I also grumble about poor service and what I see as their staff being unhelpful especially in the Orlando store where the 'rules' on selling new phones were so bizarre in 2022 they could not sell me the new phone I wanted and had near $2000 to give them. I mean they overturned precisely the maxim of what retail is about - the art of selling goods that don't come back to customers that do. I've an old Apple iPhone that I will upgrade this winter in the UK (for the first time ever) but it works perfectly well, it serves me well and I no longer need state of the art sophistication but compromise is sensible as the pace of technological change is remarkable - a sophisticated computer in your pocket. The two issues I had are now one; that the battery now runs down quite quickly. The second was powering up the phone which this store resolved lickety-split.

Upon arriving I must admit I didn't know that I was meant to "check in" in the middle of the store. But a member of staff was kind enough to sign me in at the Genius Bar anyway. Within ten minutes my iPhone was booked in and we were given a waiting time of 2 hours so went off shopping. Came back 2 hours later and my phone was handed back to me good as new. Was all that simple even on such a busy Saturday running up to Christmas. Possibly the best custom service I've ever received.

Sales staff are lovely. Not so much the manager who lied about a dozen games (mixed N64 and…read moreDreamcast) being non-working, which I can only presume was due to reluctance to pay the company's self-set high rates on some rare/mint condition games. Manager clearly listened, out of sight, ready to pounce with a s***ty tone when I queried the rejection. Tone seemed intended to embarrass me into submission in front of nearby customers. They also creased one of the manuals by ramming it back into the box.

Buyer Beware....We went to carphone warehouse in Bath yesterday and were sold credits for our 2…read morevodaphone sims, that were unusable and unrefundable. We asked the saleswoman to first check if our SIM cards were still working, she did and said "Yes they are", when actually they were not. When we asked for a refund they said "go get it from vodaphone". When we went to vodaphone, they would not refund us because we bought it from carphone warehouse, and told us they had "Carphone warehouse has a bad reputation in town", and they were not surprised they sold us a bill of goods. We wasted 2 and half hours in the carphone warehouse store and got no refund, and no phones working. They then threw us another curveball and said "go to vodaphone they will give you free SIM cards" which of course was not true. The salespeople and manager (all got involved) obviously had no clue what they were doing, and all they cared about is doing a quick sale and turning their backs. They don't give refunds for what we had just purchased, and want out and will told us "go to vodaphone", it's not our business anymore. This would never happen anywhere else. We would never set foot in this store ever again, especially being told of its reputation in town for doing transactions like these. Advice is, only go to the specific carrier (as vodaphone, or O2, T mobile, etc). Bad service, bad customer relation, and no recourse for problem solving.
