It's a great exchange shop - you can sell off any of your unwanted electrical items, I find that you don't tend to get very much for things like DVDs but at least you get something back in your pocket if your mum starts threatening to take your collection to the charity shop! I've never bought anything more substantial, like a phone or game console, although they do sell them readily, I can't help agreeing with Craig in that much of it could well be taken-from-somebody's-hand rather than actually second-hand but nevertheless this Bristol branch offers a wide range of most things electrical. I particularly like coming here off a morning and spending a good hour rumbling through the stacks - it's always fun to go for an odd ball, something you've never heard of, sometimes it's brilliant and sometimes it's one to trade back to CeX!

It feels shiny and new and you sometimes forget that all the stock was unwanted by someone. I mean I saw an iPad in there today...an iPad!!! Who got bored of it so fast they felt the need to sell it! And why weren't they allowed a refund from Apple, the thing only came out about a week ago!? They have a huge range of electronics in this shop; it's great just to have a browse. They have technical components and computer equipment for the tech guys who might want an upgrade, but they also have a great selection of cameras and laptops. They have a huge amount of computer games and DVDs and you can sell them yours once you've finished with them. I am not sure how good they are with the prices they will give you for them, but at least they are here to give us the option. Some of the stock prices seem a little high, but I am sure some haggling would be allowed.

The last four years have definitely tested him in every conceivable way! I have recently been back in touch with Tony about a cracked iPhone screen. Yes, i broke mine too! I had been quoted silly money to get it fixed; originally a whopping £180, and subsequently £120, and £100. The latter quote is from a great little indie mobile phone shop in Weston-Super-Mare, called Phone Tek Nation, but they don't always have the parts, and I'm still waiting to hear back from them. They said they'd contact me when the new iPhone supplies arrived. This was over a week ago, and they had already been waiting a further week since the order. So either Apple can't produce enough spares for these darned fragile bits of kit, or else I've been lost amid a sea of other iPhone users that have also dropped their phones.... I'm glad I thought to call Unlock It, because guess what? As always, the price I've been quoted beats all the rest by a mile!! He has quoted me £69.00!!! This is Tony's forte! he beats everyone on price and gets the job done. By the way, it was Abri at Tudor Mobile Services that put me onto Phone Tek Nation as he doesn't presently service iPhones, and knew I needed a quick fix. He's also in Weston, in the lovely Tudor Mall, opposite Lloyds TSB, and works with most models of phones, keeping the price extremely competitive.

Kat was an angel, patiently and efficiently steering me through the decision making process, and setting up my new phone, transferring everything from the old one (that had unexpectedly gone into its death throes). I had been dreading the whole experience, especially as I am useless at doing setups on a new device etc, and Kat removed all that angst for me. There was also a very pleasant lady who did the 'meet and greet'. All in all, I cannot fault the store or its staff, and was particularly impressed with Kat, her expertise, and patient and pleasant manner in dealing with a very stressed me! Ever since The Link ruined Shed Seven's Speakeasy song with "at the link it's easy" (even though lead singer Rick Witter agreed to it) I've not fancied going in there so Phones 4 U is the other main option. I was having problems with my online contract in that it was way to expensive and in a fit of rage I threw my phone against the wall and smashed the screen (BA strikes plus my honeymoon makes me very unhappy indeed). The sales assistant was really helpful, she sat me down asked me exactly what I wanted, filled out a form, brought me out some handsets to try and offered me a really good deal (£25 a month with free text messages, internet, music downloads, touch screen handset and 300 mins). I said I'd need to think about it and she got a little pushy but stick to your ground and you'll be fine. I went with my provider in the end who undercut that by more than a tenner a month.

I brought my phone here to be fixed when it broke soon after I bought it and failed to ever turn on…read moreagain. The guy in the store was really helpful, filled in all the required forms for me, sent it off and called to let me know when it was ready to be fixed. However my husband then had a problem with his phone, brought it into the same 3 store and they wouldn't help him saying he had to bring it back to the store he bought it from or somewhere else. Can't see why they helped me but wouldn't help me except for the fact that I'm girly and helpless ;-) I've now had the same problem happen to my phone as my husband has had. I reset all the settings on my phone and had to delete a load of files in order to get it to work occasionally. I turned off the Email on 3 function and that seems to be solving the problem. Don't particularly want to have to trek all over town just to find out what store will be willing to fix my phone fixed, if you want a job done, do it yourself!
