My Experience with Loyal T's Mobile Mechanic…read more I'm sharing my experience to warn others and to document what happened to me. This is based on my personal experience, the photos I took, my text messages, and my payments. About four months ago, I hired Loyal T's Mobile Mechanic to repair my Mercedes. Over the next several months, I was repeatedly told the repairs were progressing and that there were no major problems. Eventually, I was told the vehicle was finished and only needed to be programmed by Mercedes before it could be returned to me. During this time, I paid nearly $6,000 for the repairs. Whenever I asked for receipts showing the parts that had been purchased, I was told they existed, but I never received them. For months, I was repeatedly told my car would be delivered "today" or "tomorrow." Whenever I questioned the delays, I was made to feel like I was simply being impatient. I was given various explanations, including that the mechanic was in the hospital or extremely busy. After months of delays, I told him I would simply tow the vehicle to Mercedes myself and asked for the address where my car was located. He refused to provide the location until I told him I was prepared to involve law enforcement. At that point, he directed me to the Yelp business address. Before paying for a tow truck, I decided to drive there myself. My vehicle was not at that location. When I told him that, he replied that it was "around the corner" because he supposedly had too many customer vehicles to keep them all there. When I arrived at the property, I found him working under his own truck at what appeared to be a residence. He then directed me to another location approximately a mile away. When I finally found my Mercedes, it was sitting on a public street in a substantially disassembled condition. Engine components had been removed or disconnected, interior trim pieces had been removed and placed inside the vehicle, and there were spider webs underneath and inside the vehicle. This condition was completely different from what I had been told for months--that the vehicle was repaired and only waiting for Mercedes programming. I had also recently purchased a new Mercedes battery after the dealership diagnosed my previous battery as needing replacement. When I recovered the vehicle, that battery was no longer installed. An older battery was present instead. I have documentation regarding the battery purchase. I contacted the police at the location where I recovered the vehicle. A report was taken, and I was advised that my primary remedy would likely be through a civil lawsuit. I intend to pursue that process. I'm not posting this because I'm unhappy with a repair bill or because a repair didn't go as planned. I'm posting it because this was my personal experience after months of delays, thousands of dollars in payments, and eventually locating my own vehicle in a condition that did not match what I had repeatedly been told. I have preserved my text messages, payment records, photographs, and other documentation, and I will present that evidence through the appropriate legal process. My advice to anyone considering hiring any mechanic is simple: always verify where your vehicle is being stored, ask for receipts for parts, get everything in writing, and don't wait months without physically checking on your vehicle. I hope sharing my experience helps someone else avoid going through what I've been through.
