If I could add negative stars I would give them a negative 5 stars!!! Do not trust this mechanic with your car 1st it took them over 6 months to finish the work 2 the engine blew up within the first 100 miles 3. We had to take them to small claims court to get them to pay us back several months ago 4. We still haven't received a penny from them. They're NOT LICENSED NOR INSURED DO NOT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CAR AND IF YOU DO YOU HAD BETTER NOT PAY THEM UNTIL AFTER THE WORK HAS BEEN DONE AND YOUR CAR WORKS NEVER AGAIN WILL WE TRUST ANY MOBILE MECHANIC BECAUSE OF THEM. I love Mobile Mikes! I got stuck in Grants Pass due to an alternator issue and Mobile Mikes saved me! My car was fixed the same day which was a HUGE relief since I was far from home. The customer service was amazing, great communication so I knew when I expected them to arrive and once they arrived my alternator was replaced so quickly and my car is running amazingly now. I called Mobile Mike based on his excellent Google reviews to come out and fish out a tool I had dropped in my engine and disassemble as necessary. He was very upfront about what would have to be done and gave me a ballpark estimate of what it would cost. The appointment was made a week ago (1/3/22) and today, two hours before the scheduled time, I received a call from his office stating that they had double booked and would not be coming. They said they would come after the other scheduled appointment if there was time and if not, they would schedule another appointment. I waited all afternoon and did not hear a word. I tried calling back this evening but got a message that said it was after business hours. I have a cross country trip scheduled in a couple weeks and now I have wasted a week waiting for this appointment that was not honored. Now, I am going to have to find another mechanic and wait who knows how long to schedule another appointment to get my vehicle road ready for my trip. I cannot comment on the quality of their work, as they never showed up. But, if you need someone to come fix your car and are on any kind of a timeline, I would not depend on this mechanic. read more

Like everything ever, using the services of Mobile Mike had some good things and some not-so-good things. The good things: Before I met Mobile Mike I had a truck that wasn't working. I was 95% sure I knew what was wrong with it, but didn't have the tools or talent to fix it. Although Mike charged me $65 to tell me what I already knew, I opted to pay for it in order to be 100% sure. He showed up with a buddy a few days after diagnosing the truck. What he said was a five hour job, ended up taking only three. Not only that, but in addition to replacing my fuel pump (what the truck needed just to start again) he diagnosed and fixed an idling problem I was having for no charge. The bad things: The first day he was supposed to show up, he called to say he was going to be three hours late. Then, three hours later, he called to say he went to the right address, but in the wrong county. He also told us before starting that it would cost much less than the $500 we were quoted. In the end, it cost $450--not exactly a hell of a lot less than $500. Overall though, as you can see by my rating, I was satisfied with what my money bought. He came to my house and fixed my truck for just slightly over what repair shops were quoting. To me it was worth the extra money to not have to tow the truck and to be able to be around while the work was being done. The next time my truck breaks down (as I'm sure it will) I won't hesitate a second to call Mobile Mike. I've already recommended him to most of my friends. read more

We contacted Mike on a Saturday afternoon; Our car wouldn't start after traveling 6 hours up I5 on a family road trip. Mike met us at our hotel well after his normal business hours. He was able to determine that the fuel pump had went out. He continued to spend time after hours looking for a replacement, with no luck due to most businesses being closed and those that were open not having what we needed. He continued on Sunday (his day off) to get one tracked down and ordered for us. The part wouldn't come until Wednesday (to no fault of Mike's). Once the part was delivered Mike and his assistant worked efficiently in the heat of the afternoon in the hot parking lot to get our car fixed and back on the road. Mike was extremely professional and very reasonably priced. We highly recommend Mike to any locals and anyone traveling through the Grants Pass area. Thank you, Mike! read more

I had quite a different experience with Mobile Mike. Had my steering wheel lock up so I saw it was low on fluid. Put fluid in and when I started the car a bunch of thick milky stuff came out through the front of the grill. Saw his number on a Facebook post so called and he arrived when scheduled. Diagnosed the problem in a couple of minutes, a clamp had broken on a hose and it had come loose. Mike disassembled the front to get to the hose, had it fixed in around 30 minutes from when he showed up. I was impressed with his knowledge of engines and how they work. Don't expect a professional van but he was on time, charged a fair price and got me up and running again. If I have a problem with my car he will be the first person I will call. read more

Using mobile Mike's was the best decision I could have ever made! The first time I came out he did a quick diagnostic of my truck and then ordered the parts that were needed and a couple weeks later fixed it in less than 45 minutes! My truck now runs strong and thanks to mobile Mike's I have my truck back! On top of the service required to fix the truck, Mike was willing to Tinker on the heater which wasn't working and told me exactly what was wrong and what needed to be done with that as well, free of charge. In addition on the way home my other vehicle started misfiring on my way out and Mike stops to help again did a quick computer diagnostic to see what was wrong with it and quarter me prices on parts that were needed. He did all this also free of charge. I am so impressed with mobile Mike's and as soon as Parts come in we will have him fixed our other vehicle. Good honest hard work I highly recommend mobile Mike's! I will not be using any other mechanic so glad that we found him! saw their add on craig's list . the women who answered the phone was all gung-ho to get me to use their service, telling me the mechanic had worked on many cars just like mine. i clearly told them i had run the battery down as the car was not holding idle and needed and she assured me it was no problem, he could come and start it and had the computer to diagnose the issue. listen to their add when you call we can get you going. so stayed home and made an appt all anxious to get my car going and then i get a call, well did you get your battery fully charged? i said no, i told you it ran out trying to start it and i don't have a charger, surely he has a jump box or cables to jump it. she replies he has no jump box , he has no fresh battery to bring and he does not want to jump it from his vehicle as it would hurt the alternator !!! i said what kind of mechanic has no way to start the car ?? then she tells me its his hobby !!! what the hell !!! i offer to let him use my jump box but i said it might only work once or twice and he may need to jump it on his truck until he gets the computer reading or just bring a fresh battery ( why do i need to explain this to a mechanic shop ?) she calls back he now does not want to make the drive because my jump box might not start it enough times he has none , has no battery to bring and does not want to jump with his truck. so just not being able to jump a car is too much for this place, noooooo stay far away, what a joke, wasted weeks waiting for the appt. mobile mechanics need to bre mobile and have what is needed and jumping a battery is as bare bones an item as you can get, if they won't invest in a pro jump box, or even a stinking second hand charged battery to use you can be sure this not a professional service. there was also a week they did not return any phone calls, just got odd texts. at first she bragged he was the best , then downgraded to a hobby pastime i guess to explain why he did not even own a way to start a dead battery. read more
