Shattered my brand new iPhone screen like a moron and was able to look up apple authorized stores and made an appointment within 20min, dropped the phone off, the staff did some security checks and then told me they would call when it was ready. I was able to go to work, came back right before closing time and the phone was ready to go. It was $50 more than it would have been had I gone to the Apple Store, but the closest appointment at apple was over 5 days away and I was willing to pay the extra to get the phone done immediately and returned same day. read more

This morning I filled out a request for a replaced screen on my iphone 5. I immediately received a response email with a price estimate and directions to come in at my convenience. When coming into the store, Donald did a great job figuring out what my phone needed and how long it would take. I picked my phone up an hour later and it was perfectly fixed. I appreciate how quickly it was fixed and how easy the process was to drop off and pick up. I am extremely satisfied with their service and professionalism. These guys know what they are doing. They even gave me a demo of unlocked phone after inserting a third party sim card. Aaron was excellent. Although I had to bring my Samsung Galaxy Note II back 4 times in all I think, he was able to get my headphone jack fixed and I believe it only ended up costing me $60 out of pocket. I should say it was not Aaron's fault that I had to bring it back several times. We received 3 different parts of which 2 were defective. EDIT: I paid $100 to have my iPhone unlocked here on the recommendation of a friend. One month later, I'm in another country and find that the phone is not unlocked. I stay up till all hours of the night to call them during their hours to figure out wtf is going on and am told by the overeager manager that it's been handled, and when I hang up saying I'm going to go try to do what he suggested but will call back shortly, he says, "I'm so glad we got this sorted out." I then have to call AT&T who tell me there was no request process. Joke is totally on me: there is no reason to trust a third party and I didn't get any documentation that said a request has gone through. It turns out that AT&T can do it for you... so lesson is do your research and stay away from these people. I'll edit this review if I get my money back. SECOND EDIT: They're well-meaning but insist I can't have a refund because "they filed the paperwork." But you don't pay for them to file some paperwork, you pay to have a task done, and the task was not done. I'll update this review if I get my money back, otherwise assume that customer care is bad. PS. It's incredibly weird that every review here is either five stars or one. They ask for you to do a yelp review when you come in if everything goes smoothly and my guess is that they're trying to balance out a number of totally shitty reviews on here. Then, at my request he showed me what he had to do to replace the battery, including melting and carefully, gently removing the battery from the notoriously tenacious glue that Apple has selected. I was referred to Mobile Kangaroo as Verizon could not retrieve my photos on a phone that went through the washing machine. After a week I called and they didn't seem to know what I was talking about. Then they told me that they needed to get parts from another store. Finally they called me to tell me that they couldn't retrieve the photos. That was okay as I wasn't expecting miracles but I still had to pay for them to look at the phone. The worst part was when I went to pick up the phone I was handed a phone that was totally beat up and scratched. Definitely not the outer casing that I left with them. Even the guy at Verizon agreed that it was not the phone he had worked on. I think that they took the outer pristine body of my phone for parts, and gave me a battered version. I can't prove it, so I'll never know. However I won't ever be using their services again. read more

I have an interesting case. My Galaxy S4 went dead all of a sudden, won't start and turned out changing chargers didn't work. Took it to At&T and they swapped out the battery with a new one and the phone still wouldn't start. I was convinced my phone was a brick at that point in time. I tried calling many mobile repair shops around and most of them when they heard about the issue said they didn't think they could take a look a the issue or even thought it could be fixed. Vu at Mobile Kangaroo Mtn View was the last guy I called (before I gave up) and he said sure bring it over and I can take a look at it. I took the phone to Vu, considering him my guardian angel, and he said he'd need to keep the phone with him for diagnosis. Well the heavens lighted and I received call within a few hours from Vu saying that he took out the phone battery and charged it using an external charger and it charged fine. Whoa !!!! I was just so thrilled. At that point I had so much of admiration for Vu and told him later that he was a real hero, even though there was nothing to fix, and that it was only his willingness to look at what looked like an impossible issue that fetched him the reward of my regard. read more

( I posted this on google reviews as well) I am incredibly discontent with the fixing of my iphone 5s and my overall experience with Mobile Kangaroo. My phone had batter damage causing it to be stuck on a white apple screen and the screen was cracked. I had done research to see what could be done, and it is a simple battery fix and a screen replacement which would in no way jeopardize my data, yet at mobile kangaroo they don't actually fix phones they are simply slaves to Apple, so because 'Apple' decided to simply replace the phone there was 'nothing they could do' about ALL of my data being lost, including around 8,000 photos from a recent vacation, hundreds of thousands of text messages, and more, even though there was no need to replace the phone entirely. Mobile kangaroo gave me a temporary phone for the few days mine was getting 'fixed' and the phone they gave me was incredibly glitchy, as you could barely even type, scroll, open an app without everything freaking out moving and the screen shaking. I told this to the guy and he apologized saying I was the first one to test out this replacement phone, which is extremely puzzling as when I received the phone the first thing on the safari browser was porn, which is incredibly unprofessional. Even if it was not one of them on that site, they should still clear the phones of any pasts costumers' search history and data before handing them out again. When they replaced my actual phone, the 'brand new' iphone they gave me also has software problems, as the screen will occasionally turn blue or red and black striped, and it constantly shuts off to the white apple screen, as did the one I took to get fixed, ironic. Honestly they are not any cheaper (screen repairs are like $130 or something, very expensive) than any other actual phone repair site, so please save your hundreds of dollars and take your phone somewhere else. read more

I bought a battery for palm 680 treo in Nov-08. The guy assured me that it is a new battery. My battery just died. This is within 4 months. I took it back and the manager said 'Tough luck'. We do not assure new battery operation for any duration. This stinks! Having to fork over another $40 bucks for another battery is pure highway robbery. I would recommend not to buy batteries from these guys. No customer satisfaction sense! read more
