I called Apple support for a MacBook screen repair. They schedule an appointment and I assumed it was an Apple store since it's in Roseville. It wasn't, this place is hard to find, no signage in the front, and they're just an "authorized retailer". I tried to call them beforehand twice, left a voicemail and got no answer. The prices are insane. I've been to a few phone repair places around town and usually know the price before I even come in. Here, they want you to leave the device for a full diagnostic, a $65 fee that can be put towards your purchase and then after the diagnostic very likely they'll find more issues then you came in with. I walked out and said nevermind. Can't imagine if I brought in an iPhone for a battery or screen replacement, that $65 is more than places charge for labor and parts. My iPhone 8+ battery was getting weaker. Scheduled replacement appointment through Apple Settings feature. Christian was the tech and was efficient, professional and effective. Quick test to verify that battery was the issue, paid for the replacement and quoted 2 hour for work to be completed. I got back to pick up the phone before 2 hours, it was ready and battery quality was back to 100%. The repair was 5 star and the customer service was also 5 star. If I need any other Apple repairs I'll be a return customer. read more

On this my second visit with Kangaroo Apple Authorized repair, I am so delighted I just have to take a moment and leave a report about this excellent business. Not so easy to find tucked away far down Foothills Blvd that most of us would travel, this small, very sterile (Covid) Apple Authorized repair is as good or better than heading to the Westfield mall official Apple Store. Granted, this business treats Covid as if it were a real epidemic in the likes of Ebola, literal Gloves, distancing and the are wiping down things all the time in witness to customers required to wear mask in disobedience to the State of Ca. Mask Mandate permitting certain people the ability NOT to wear mask, depite the hysterical approach , if you are looking for fast, efficient and reliable repair of your iPhone, THIS IS THE PLACE. Alexandra was on duty this day, and was most knowledgeable and friendly. My home button on my iPhone 8s was dysfunctional and needed replacing. I was disappointed that the entire screen had to be replace to remedy this. I walked in one afternoon without an appointment, and they had my processed and repaired in ONLY A COUPLE OF HOURS. Focusing only on the business of fixing iPhones disregarding the that this business is fully invested in the insanity of this submission Covid hysteria, Kangaroo gets an A+++ for customer service, quality of repair and timely repairs. I am going to have to let Kangaroo repair be my 1st choice over the Apple Store in the mall which is always crowded. read more

I was quoted for a 3-5 day turnaround for a new macbook keyboard, but just received my laptop yesterday, 1 MONTH later, with my nice keyboard cover missing. It seemed like the Mobile Kangaroo guys didn't have their process together because: 1) They had me come back in a week after I initially dropped it off to log into my computer... (WHY didn't they have me do it when I first came in?...) I live 40 minutes from their location. 2) I had to call at least once a week for updates to make sure they were actually working on my laptop, but they kept saying "3-5 days" from the day I called. The turnaround quote was deceitful and messed with my work. 3) The $600 repair to the notoriously faulty macbook keyboard was one thing, the missing keyboard cover is just lemon juice on a papercut. These are the things I wish I knew before I went to to Mobile Kangaroo in Roseville. I'm not driving another hour to pick up my $10 keyboard cover, and I'm not going to pay $30 for them to deliver it to me either. I wish I went directly to Apple, but I didn't, because they were booked a month out. I guess that didn't matter, since it took these guys a month anyway. So satisfied with my service! Took in my iMac desktop for a repair and was communicated with the entire time. A part needed to be ordered from across the country, and got stuck in Tennessee during the big winter storm - creating a major delay in repair time. When asked of the delay, they explained the shipping holdup right away and even provided a tracking number so I could follow the part with them! I brought my MacBook for repair and was very impressed with their COVID-19 precautions. When I arrived for my scheduled appointment I was the only customer on site. The company representative stayed more than 6 ft away at all times and I did not have to touch anything. I simply scanned a barcode with my phone and filled the check in information on my phone. This is incredible! I felt safer than in any other retail establishment I have ever been to. In fact, the place felt very much like a medical clinic, which is the way it should be. Subsequently I received an update via email and both the price and the delivery time are very reasonable. For future repairs, I will certainly choose this location over the Apple Store. read more

Apple.com recommended I go to Mobile Kangaroo with my 2011 iMac to clean it out so I could give it to my granddaughter for her birthday. Dane helped me at the store and went above and beyond to make it perfect. When I picked it up the next day, I was amazed that it was like a brand new product. Been here twice, the first time they saved my data on a hard drive that had died; the second time my new computer was acting up. Zach ran the tests; identified what needed to be fixed. let me know and while he suggested it could be two weeks on the repair it was less than one! Oh my goodness, this place is amazing. My macbook pro had been having screen problems for the past sixth months and then stopped working. I contacted Apple to no avail, and was going to be sent a $500 repair kit (essentially 1/2 the cost of my macbook itself). Fortunately enough, I was able to book an appointment with mobile kangaroo through them and they fixed my laptop within 5 days, no charge apart from the diagnostic fee. I was beyond grateful, and they responded to my messages quickly. My macbook feels as if it's brand new. Thanks guys! read more

First off, before I paid the immediate fee for a diagnostics check on my computer that had water damage. I was assured the repair wouldn't be more than the price of the computer. Turns out after the diagnosis the repair was the exact amount I had paid for the new computer if not slightly over. I needed some time to contemplate whether to follow through with my already invested repair or take it home. I didn't have enough money for an immediate repair so I was saving up for that. Turns out they had a 90 day storage policy they forgot to mention in the confirmation email and in the 2 voicemails I received. I paid 100$ for a service I could've done myself by throwing out my computer so thanks! read more

I'm currently still waiting for my product to be finished and I can't express how agitated I am at the whole ordeal. I dropped my computer off last week and was told I would get a call same day about the cost of the repairs and with an estimated window to come pick it back up. Mind you I waited an hour to be seen and was the only one in the building. Come Monday I call because I hadn't heard back yet and they tell me they have not even diagnosed my computer! They tell me I will get a call back later that day, but I don't hold my breath. It is now Wednesday and I have not received a call nor reply from the numerous voice mails I have left or emails I have sent. I have been calling religiously trying to get answers and I have gotten nothing. I am livd and honestly questioning the legitimacy of this business. When I was there the workers seemed nice enough, but the structure of this company is absolutely horrendous. If you can avoid them PLEASE DO. I will post updates to my review as time passes, but bottom line is if I could go back in time and choose another repair service, I 100% would. read more

ABSOLUTE GARBAGE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! I Waited 7 Weeks for my HD on my MacBook Pro. Zero communication in that time Unless I called them. Kevin LIED to me and told me the HD was Just IN, (after 6.5 weeks) and it would be done and installed in 1-2 hours! NO Call back, then 3 days later he cowardly sends an email, NO phone call, to say my HD is LOST in transit, give us 1 more week to Install it!!!! I ask to talk to management and get some compensation for ridiculous timeframe and Kevin LYING To me, Dane tells me he will contact owner. Of course, NO Call back in 3 days Now!! Do NOT trust this business to repair your iPhone! My daughters iPhone 12 is defective and we were forced to use them since Apple stores are closed. After two weeks without a phone we followed up and nothing had been done to fix her phone. They lied about sending it to Apple saying it got lost in the mail. I dropped my computer off on the 4th of January which was a Monday. The worker there tells me that there's a bit of a backup due to COVID so they'll get to diagnosing by computer within a few days. I came in for a bad battery and the computer itself was saying I needed service. The worker there said it's a simple fix and it'll be done by Friday or next Tuesday at the latest. Fast forward a week and a half later. I haven't received the email with the diagnosis for my computer. I call them on Thursday. The person who answers says they still haven't gotten around to diagnosing my computer. He was being flakey about it. It was only when I said I took my computer in a week and a half before that he said "I'll get right on it. You'll get the email today or tomorrow." It's Sunday now. Still haven't gotten that email. I have college starting on Tuesday. I figured that two weeks would be more than enough for me to get my computer back on time. The only reason why I went with this store was it was the only store that was close to me with an appointment. All the others were 60+ miles away. My advice: Either go to this store but don't expect your device back anytime soon or wait for an opening somewhere else. The latter will probably be faster honestly. read more

This place is wired my leptop was not working so I bring it to them but they said it's going to be 1000 dollers for repair then when i went there for pickup and I said I don't want to repair it when I went home and charging it it's start working. These guys are a total disaster. My iMac Pro shorted out. It took them 3.5 weeks to fix it. They blamed slow delivery of parts from Apple. They blamed faulty parts from Apple. They never called me to let me know what was going on. I was losing business every day, not to mention patience. But the worst was yet to come. When I went in, finally, to pick it up, the guy casually told me the repair had required wiping the computer clean. I was in a state of shock, immediately going over what had been lost. When I asked why they hadn't consulted me, he just mumbled something about the liability waiver I had signed. Not only did they wipe the machine without my consent, and without attempting to back it up, they also updated the OS without my permission, which meant I had to buy a new printer because there's no compatible driver for my old Canon printer with Big Sur (yet). It was amateur hour and lousy customer service from start to finish. Avoid these idiots like the plague! read more

This is one of the closest apple certified places that I was able to get my phone screen fixed at. I live an hour and thirty minutes away so decided to make an appointment to get my phone fixed while I was in town. Was told that the screen could be fixed in the same day, but as I arrived for my appointment I was told that it would not be done until the next day as she was the only one there and had other appointments coming in after mine. Also told me to just make an appointment at an apple certified store closest to me instead, even after I had told her this was the closest one. Super disappointed with the service I was given and still dealing with a cracked screen. read more
