I went to Mobile gas station this morning 2/5/22 around 11:30a. When I walked in the woman working the register was not wearing a mask. Then I realized I was not wearing a mask. I gave her cash for gas and gave her pump#. I was about to quickly leave. Then she put her mask on. She asked me a question. I could not understand with thick accent. She repeated lifting up mask. She asked, "why are you not wearing a mask?" I was surprised because she wasn't wearing one when I walked in. Before I could say anything, she says she was giving me a warning and the next time I come in I better not forget! I said give me my money back. I don't have to buy gas here. I will go somewhere else to buy gas and never come back to your gas station. She didn't expect that response I guess as it took her awhile to register. I had to ask for my money back again and again. She finally gave me my money back and began to berate me, yelling at me. I could not understand poor English. In that moment I felt transported to a communist country. Don't know what the bad reviews are on about. Somebody even said "they must water down their gas" ... LOL! Stupid is as stupid does. It's a decent, convenient little gas station. My car only takes premium and the prices are always fair and a maybe even a little cheaper than most other stations nearby. It's Mobil - top tier gas. If you don't care what gas you use, go somewhere else. No people hassling you for change or touching your car either. Getting in and out can be a hassle. It gets busy. Look closely at the illuminated gas prices.. they are .20 cents lower than the credit card or ATM card prices on the unlit sign on the ground. Totally misleading. This gas station charges a premium of about 10 cents per gallon. You are paying for convenience, as this is now the only gas station in the south shores area, and they know it. You are also paying a bit more for not having to get harassed for spare change from shady folks like you would at the stations down on Gaffey. I would give this place 5 stars if not for the slightly deceptive practice of posting their cash only prices on the main marquis and then the more expensive credit card prices on a small sign off to the side. read more

BEWARE! Deceptive pricing! The large sign hanging on the street says one price but they charge you 10 Cents per gallon more to use a credit card. That's on the sign down at ground level that is not in plain sight. They do not apologize for their tactics either when I asked the attendant inside. The pump didn't work well at all, seems broken or faulty. I usually use the stops to set a flow and step away, but I had to manually pump at an extremely low rate since any time the flow was more than a trickle the pump halted. The mechanic here is a rip off and doesn't value loyal customers at all. I voted two stars because I have had decent oil changes here however it always takes more than an hour just for an oil change. I found out about Valvoline and never went back lol. Mike is money hungry and everytime I come in he tells me there's multiple things wrong with my car. My bf also went here and his car window was cracked when he picked it up!! They also held is car for 2 weeks! Another thing that happened was I locked my keys in my car at the bank of America, I went over there to see if they could open my car with a slim Jim because he must recognize me since I've been there before and help me out. ?? Dont EVER take your car here to get fixed (they have a small mechanic spot). My engine light was on, Mike said it was because my computer was broken. $80 to fix. Said he changed the wiring on it. Specifically, 2 of the main wires that were "burnt out". Drove away it and it came right back on. I took it back, he said he didn't remember my car and wanted to see a receipt he never gave me. Then he told me he only charged me $80 for diagnostic, he never actually did any work. Typical mechanic fraud. Charged me almost $100 to temporarily turn off my engine light and lie to my face. Yea yeah there's lots of fraud out there with cards at the pump however, its common sense, business owners look out for themselves and anyone that's a business owner understands. I needed some gas, but I usually try to avoid this particular Mobil station, as it has higher prices than most other stations in the area. I was in a hurry, so I decided to visit this place anyways. I saw the large sign in front of the station, which showed $2.93 per gallon for regular. I began pumping gas, and at about 1/2 tank, noticed that the indicator showed that I was actually paying $2.99 per gallon. I went inside to talk to the attendant to point out that they had the wrong price posted on their large sign. He said that the price wasn't wrong, the price was for cash only and that the credit price was posted on another sign. He pointed to a much smaller sign that was on the other side of the gas station. At this time, I noticed that it said "cash" in really small letters on the big sign. I told the attendant that this practice was rather scandalous. His reply was, "Have a nice day." Well, this gas station just earned an extra 6 cents per gallon from me on this visit, but unfortunately will never make any money from me again. read more

RIDICULOUS. UNPROFESSIONAL. RUDE. This place has certainly the worst customer service imaginable. I stopped by here with my mom to get gas and sure enough the machine is faulty and starts rejecting the transaction. The attendant (the same middle-aged "light skinned Mexican with glasses" mentioned in multiple prior negative reviews) comes over and to see what is up and so my mom repeats the payment attempt. As she's trying to input her credit card info, she politely asks if he minds scooting over to give us some privacy/space. However, he scoffs and mutters something under his breath before heading back inside the shop. The machine is still not working so I follow him back in and ask if I can just pay him with $20 cash for the pump. He ignores me and disappears into some backroom/bathroom. After waiting on him for an eternity he comes back out and says since its now near the closing time he's not going to put gas in for me and demands us to leave while shutting off all the gas station lights on us. read more
