I call this gas station the bi-polar station. For most of the last year (since I started working…read morein Western Springs), this station has had some of the highest prices in the area - often being 20 cents per gallon more expensive than other stations in the area. However, it is now competitively priced, and is often cheaper than other stations. There are also squeegees and paper towels near the pumps, as well as a convenience store. The price sign really needs more numerals, though - most of the number panels seem to be missing from the sign. I would have given it 1 star in the past, but now I give it four stars. That's an average of 2.5 stars, which I would round up to 3.

The first thing I noticed was the trash in the parking lot that PIGS tossed on the ground. People should pick up after themselves which is besides the point. After purchasing fuel I went to use the Men's bathroom. It looked like it wasn't cleaned for a quite long period of time. The trash cans were over flowing, sinks/counter tops were dirty, the floor was dirty. Fortunately I only had to take a "squirt." Consider taking a can of disinfectant spray (Lysol) plus a putty knife with you if you're planning to use the porcelain throne. You'll probably need the putty knife to pry your bottom end off the seat when you've finished your task.............. BTW, there was a mop stuck in the handle of the Women's bathroom and a closed sign on the door. According to my wife the bathroom in the restaurant area was in a similar condition.

They offer a lot more variety now of places to eat if you want a quick bite. It is more open now so you have the opportunity to walk around and stretch your legs. The biggest disappointment is that every location is now part of the Evil Empire that is McDonald's. I have not eaten McDonald's since 1992 but if I was starving at 2:00 and I went to an Oasis I would have to eat McDonald's because everything else closes in the overnight hours. The time was 5:45am. I've also had numerous issues with an older man whom speaks no English and rushes people through the line if you take too long and makes fun of you if you enter the pin number wrong. He has no clue how to perform the simplest task. I've spoken with ownership, and he is worse. He stands by his employees and defends them making fun of you when you take too long at the register. As of today, I will no longer be a customer of this once outstanding franchise of Mobil Gas. I'm asking you to kindly join me in this peaceful protest. Anyway, for today Friday 7-25-2025, the surprising Cook County price leader for regular gas is Costco Oakbrook, and hooray for them! Here are the survey results fyi. Melrose Park was a very close second place in Cook County. DuPage County is cheaper than Lake County. The standings could probably change every day but I'm guessing not significantly but I may check again one day if curious and as usual not doing anything useful. Look at that WI vs IL spread, uugggh.
