Conveniently overpriced gas station in midtown NYC on the east side…read more As I was out on a long run tonight I needed some water and as I passed by this gas station I noticed the group of vending machines on site. Whoa! $3 for a bottle of Aquafina. Then I looked at the gas prices and was happy I don't own a car. How do people afford to own a car and pay for gas these days? The station is clean. No mini mart here. ATM. Self service and full service but you'll pay extra for that! Yeah, I'd rather run than own a car.

I called the local Brooklyn Pep Boys, they said I'd have to come in and get a ticket and then they would see me to get wiper fluid in about 90 min from the time I get the ticket. Am I in an alternative universe?! What is happening? So I just randomly called this Sunoco and a super friendly guy answered the phone. He said "no problem. Come on over," or something like that. I drove there and he freaking greeted me without me getting out of the car. He could obviously tell I was the frantic girl w/ a wiper fluid issue. I don't know squat about cars. I asked if I could see were he pulled the lever to release the hood, and my request for a tiny car maintenance lesson was granted. He put the wiper fluid in; he did it all super quick. The whole thing was beautiful. In & out in less than 5 min and customer service is 100%. THIS is where I'll always stop on my way to Costco now. Kudos!

There are only certain turns that allow U-turns, but google maps helped us find the right one.
