I'm salivating as I write this review, remembering how flavorful and fresh it was! My order: Garlic Noodles- Add Tofu ($1.00) and Add extra Soft Boiled Egg ($1.75) "Light and savory noodle soaked in house soy sauce, topped with soy egg, bok choy, crispy garlic and scallion." Their description is perfect and I love that the noodles came with a generous portion of perfectly cooked and well-seasoned bok choy! The tofu was delicious and I am so glad I added an extra soft boiled egg. I have consumed a LOT of soy eggs in my life, even been blessed to have past korean roommates make for me regularly- this was the BEST, most flavorful and perfect texture soy egg I have had - maybe even including the ones consumed in Japan I decided to indulge with the Crispy Shrimp Fritters appetizer $7.00 "Crispy shrimp (4 pieces) coated in our homemade batter, with sweet chili dipping sauce" If I had known how delicious and generous a portion the garlic noodles were, I wouldn't have ordered this app as it was simply not needed- however I am glad I did as the shrimp were delicious and perfectly cooked! By the way they had an offer when I was there for a free beverage with dine in orders. My ONLY gripe with native noodles- please, please extend your delivery range or consider partnering with a 3rd party (I know) Selfishly, I want to order from you alll the time and I am just outside your delivery range

I love the chili crab pasta, which comes with plenty of crab (albeit with occasional little shell bits) and has a nice tomatoey kick. The chili crab buns are also tasty, as are the laksa noodles, satay peanut noodles, and garlic noodles. And the calamansi lemonade is a perfectly refreshing, citrusy drink to quench your thirst. The employees are always friendly and helpful. It's a small space with maybe 4-5 tables, and keep in mind that you've gotta go through the kitchen to use the bathroom. I wish Native Noodles were closer to Brooklyn, I'd go all the time!

A bargain on lunch too for a manhattan (Washington Heights to be exact; excuse me my Dominican homies on this side). Burger, fries and a beer for $19 hit the spot after a night out drinking. I like how the bar is in the center surrounded by the tables for regular table service. I'm new to the area so this could be a spot for me to pop into occasionally!! Fernando and Melissa made my first visit worth it!!! Thank you both!!!!! Here again on a Wednesday night and the vibe is so chill and the bartender Ashley was so welcoming; love her soul!!! Thank you for the service Queen!! I will be back again soon especially since living in the area now!! Great staff and hospitality both times here!! I highly recommend!! Meagan is a vibe too!!!! A beast behind the bar while being welcoming & attentive!!!!

I saw some patrons enjoys some games on the screen with their child and was also able to enjoy a meal and drinks. I had a blackberry margarita and my company all had the blood orange margs. They were good and the drinks were flowing. We did order the sampler and was overwhelmed by the size of the thing. The platter took the entire table. It came w curly fries, wings, nachos, mozz sticks and loaded fries...all delicious and we destroyed the platter. Good vibes and chill. It was my first time here but id definitely come back! Highly recommended

I also ordered the empanadas which had good dough but the filling was ok. I also had a mocktail which was alright. I had two main entrees one was the steak and shrimp and another was the brick chicken. For dessert, I had the crème brûlée and it was good. I would say the custard part should be thicker. The service was good; I went the day before Valentine's Day. The staff was friendly and I would definitely come back. I did want the burger but they didn't have it. The place is small but is a nice place for a dinner date or solo. Everyone looked like they were enjoying their food. I would come to try more items from their menu.

There's always something new whenever I return home, and this time it was Chez Messy, just around the corner from the 157th Street train station. Perched up upon a small staircase, this two-floor restaurant is intimate, cozy, and deeply sultry. Nestled in the heart of Uptown New York City, a neighborhood known for its Dominican roots and growing diversity, Chez Messy shines as a Spanish Caribbean infused gem that took my breath away. The space feels both refined and familiar, elegant yet soulful. As I sat waiting for my mother, I opened the menu, and immediately everything called my name. Our server Joshua was an absolute delight, attentive, kind, and confident in every recommendation. Antonio, the owner and floor manager, greeted us with charm and poise. Dressed in a sharp suit, he exuded pride and grace, the embodiment of someone who deeply loves what he has created. What touched me most was realizing that this Spanish Caribbean dream of a restaurant is owned and operated by Dominicans. As someone who has traveled the world and eaten in countless hidden gems tucked along cobblestone streets, I can say this place holds its own among the best. We started with a crisp glass of Albariño and dove into the pulpo and mofonguitos filled with ropa vieja. Let me start by saying I'm not typically a red meat superfan, but that evening I was completely transformed. The ropa vieja was tender, savory, juicy, and full of flavor. The plantain cups that held it were subtly sweet, creating a beautiful harmony between bold and delicate notes. The pulpo was perfection, tender octopus paired with a light touch of vinegar and oil, thinly sliced onions, capers, and cherry tomatoes that burst like little jewels of freshness. It was bright, balanced, and refreshing, a perfect prelude to what would become an unforgettable meal. Then came a surprise from Antonio, the avocado salad and batatas bravas, further inviting us into the full Chez Messy experience. I've had batatas bravas in Spain and beyond, but these were divine. Perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and creamy on the inside, with seasoning that danced on the palate. The avocado salad was heaven itself, silky avocado paired with slivers of almonds and a hint of citrus, perhaps grapefruit, creating a beautifully layered bite that was both rich and refreshing. By the time our entrée arrived, filet mignon and shrimp in cream sauce, medium rare, we were already swept away. The filet was tender and bursting with flavor, the shrimp perfectly cooked, and the cream sauce was so delicious that I found myself tempted to lick the plate. Everything about our experience at Chez Messy was divine, from the impeccable service to the romantic, dark, and dreamy ambiance, the vibrant music that moved through the air, and the drinks that sparkled as much as the conversation. Chez Messy is where you go when you want great food in a wonderful location, when you want to feel inspired, seen, and transported. It is a love letter to Spanish Caribbean flavor and Dominican pride, wrapped in elegance and joy. This place deserves to be full every night, though a part of me secretly wants to keep it all to myself.

I know I wanted the Coconut Sticky Rice, but was told they were out of it, so I was allowed to pick something else from the Appetizers. I went with the Crispy Shrimp Rolls, served with sweet chili dipping sauce. These had a perfectly crispy exterior, filled with delightfully tender, juicy shrimp. As for my main meal, I ordered something I normally wouldn't: Chiang Mai Golden Curry Noodle Beef Shank, which consisted of egg noodles with braised beef in homemade Thai coconut curry. The Beef Shank was wonderfully succulent, rich in flavor, while the noodles were perfectly cooked, enrobed in the well seasoned, multi-layered sauce, which had plenty of coconut taste. My only issue was that the Beef was marbled with fat, so I had to try to eat around it, as I prefer my meat to be more lean. Prices were fairly reasonable. I plan on returning because I need to have the Coconut Sticky Rice. In addition, I would like to try the Alaskan Blue Crab Fried Rice and Charcoal Grilled Lemongrass Pork Chop.
