One of the best experiences I have had in Oahu! The staff (Bella, Jenna, Claire, Bridgette) was so friendly, attentive, and well-educated. I enjoyed how long the trip was. It was a good mix of sightseeing, being on the water, an hour of snorkeling, and more sightseeing. I will be booking them again! We saw turtles, fish, and dolphins! There was also plenty of seating, 2 bathrooms (liquids only), and a bar. The snorkeling is optional if you or a family member don't want to do it - they will still have a good time with the sights! Highly worth it for the price.

Booked through the Chase travel portal. Excellent service, great all female crew. Very relaxing to be around. I did the turtle canyon snorkeling cruise. We saw about 7 turtles when they came up for air and then dive back down. The snorkeling was unsatisfying though because it was too murky due to the trade winds to see the beautiful reef the turtles were diving down to or the fish. So you will see turtles but you could just watch from the boat. That being said the boat ride was very relaxing and we sailed for awhile before coming back to harbor. They made an excellent pina colada and I enjoyed a nap in the sunshine on the way back. They have restrooms for number one only which were easy to use. No toilet paper in the toilet. They provide you with water.

Bella, Bridget, Sophia were AMAZING! I was so picky when choosing which company to sail with and I can't emphasize how glad I am that I went with Moana Sailing Company. Nice music, great drinks, smooth sailing!

Easy check in process, beautiful view, fairly priced drinks, friendly staff, no complaints. I would sail with Moana again. Lots of photo opportunities and areas to sit.

We had a really great time sailing and snorkeling! We did a last minute booking and everything went smooth. Highly recommend, Jenna, Sophia and Bridget were all awesome!

The crew were so attentive and kind and worked hard to make the day as much fun as possible! We went on the Turtle Canyon snorkeling trip, which was a perfect length excursion for me. I saw about 15 turtles (and had to run away from a couple that came too close), tons of fish (including flying fish on the sail home) and even dolphins! Lastly, they make a nice strong Mai Tai Highly recommended!

We booked the two hour Waikiki Swim and Sail Cocktail Cruise. The captain and crew were amazing! Sailing along the coastline with Diamond Head as your backdrop with a drink in hand. What's not to love? If you get hot, you can cool off right in the ocean. Our experience was definitely one of the big highlights to our trip! Good vibes all around. Mahalo Moana Sailing Company!

This touring company was very fun, relaxing and overall such an incredible experience. Energetic and kind staff are all aboard to serve you and help you with whatever you may need. I also wanted to point out that prior to this there was an error in booking w/o being notified about the cancellation but all is well and we understand that it can happen. With that being said, Jenna did an amazing job on helping us get back in schedule asap! :) I appreciated the quick recovery and was welcomed to the option of a full refund or an upgrade to the sunset cruise instead. Ofc it was an easy choice since I've been dying to check this place out anyway. Will definitely need to come back!

Cheers!

When you have a national weather alert on your phone in the morning and you have a scheduled event in the afternoon, you'll get initially worried. My daughter-in-law confirmed with Moana Sailing it was still a go, so my husband and I trusted Moana Sailing especially when we love to fish (even though this wasn't a fishing excursion) in the rain while in Alaska. Location is easy to find. They're located in the back at Pier D in the Kewalo Basin area. Prior to boarding, we were greeted and signed a waiver. Once boarded, Bella introduced herself along with the rest of the crew who were also lifeguards and went over safety rules. Very efficient, friendly and engaging. When we anchored, they were all situated to watch everyone as we swam around. (Note: They have floaties and life vests for use) You're able to bring food but they also have a bar for non-alcoholic or alcoholic drinks (the prices were pretty reasonable for a charter company). The weather conditions were great despite 80% cloud cover because the Sun did come out! The sailing back to the pier was peaceful. Overall, great experience for anyone looking for a reasonable priced water activity to do while visiting or doing a staycation "playing tourist". Highly recommended

Booked this tour on the Chase Portal website & had no problems! We booked the 5pm sunset tour and made sure to get there a little early so we had time to find and walk to the correct pier. The staff collected our shoes before boarding and locked them up to keep them safe. the boat is big enough to allow all passengers to walk around comfortably, and had lots of seating available too! the bathroom on deck was comfortable and clean. there was also netting near the front of the ship that you can sit on. the drinks were fine- the first drink was complimentary and the rest were $8. the crew was quick with taking drink orders, helped take pictures of their guests, played great music, and made the experience nice and fun. we even came across some dolphins on our tour!! the boat drives towards Diamond Head which allows you to get a gorgeous view of Waikiki. This was a wonderful experience- i'd be happy to book again in the future. note: if you're sitting at the front of the boat, be ready to get soaked by the ocean at some point!

Lanikai Beach: A Little Slice of Paradise Worth Protecting!…read more BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front): Lanikai Beach is, without question, one of the most beautiful beaches on Oʻahu. Bar none! With powdery white sand, crystal-clear turquoise water, swaying palms, and breathtaking views of the iconic Mokulua Islands, it's everything you imagine a Hawaiian paradise should be. However, parking is extremely limited, access can be challenging, and this peaceful residential neighborhood deserves visitors who arrive with plenty of aloha and respect. The Details: I'm almost hesitant to write this review because Lanikai is one of those special places you wish could remain a well-kept secret! Having lived just down the street in Kailua for years, returning here today was especially nostalgic. Some places change dramatically over time, but the natural beauty of Lanikai Beach remains extraordinary. The Beach & Those Incredible Views...! The scenery is simply spectacular! Soft, golden-white sand meets impossibly beautiful shades of turquoise and light blue water. Palm trees sway overhead, tropical flowers brighten the surrounding neighborhood, and the Pacific Ocean stretches toward the horizon. And then there are the two little islands offshore! Known affectionately as "The Mokes," Moku Nui and Moku Iki are among the most recognizable landmarks on Oʻahu's Windward Coast. Their distinctive silhouettes rising from the ocean make this beach especially photogenic. Honestly, it's difficult to take a bad picture here! A Little Kailua Nostalgia: Seeing the Mokulua Islands again reminded me of a wonderful piece of local artwork from years ago. There was once a legendary Kailua deli called Doug's Gee a Deli that featured a particularly clever painting of these islands. The artist had imagined a beautiful mermaid reclining beneath the ocean's surface, her long hair and arms flowing with the tides and currents. Her upper body rose above the water to form Moku Nui, while the bend in her body created Moku Iki. I always thought that was such a wonderfully imaginative interpretation of these familiar landmarks! It reminded me of another clever Hawaiian island illustration depicting Chinaman's Hat (Mokoliʻi) as the hat of a man sleeping beneath the ocean, with a rice bowl resting in his lap. Those little pieces of local creativity have stayed with me all these years. Funny how returning to a familiar place can bring back such vivid memories! Parking & Access: Please Respect the Neighborhood...! Now for the less glamorous reality. Lanikai is a relatively small beach with limited public access paths, and finding legal parking can be an exercise in patience! Unlike larger tourist beaches, Lanikai sits within a quiet residential neighborhood. There are no sprawling beachfront parking lots waiting to accommodate visitors. The sandy access paths wind between private homes, opening onto the beach almost like little secret passageways. If you decide to visit, please be mindful that people actually live here! Park legally, don't block driveways or accessways, keep noise down, take your trash with you, and respect private property. A little consideration goes a long way toward preserving the peaceful atmosphere that makes Lanikai so special. Final Thoughts: For me, Lanikai Beach is more than another beautiful Hawaiian destination. It's a place filled with memories of the years I spent living in Kailua, and returning reminded me just how fortunate I was to have this extraordinary coastline practically in my backyard. If you're visiting Oʻahu, I absolutely recommend experiencing Lanikai at least once. Just remember that paradise is also somebody's neighborhood...! Bring your camera, your patience, and most importantly, your aloha spirit. Leave nothing behind but footprints! Aloha!

I had the hesitation to book it due to the fact my son is on the spectrum and wasn't sure how he was going to react during the experience. Took the chance and made a reservation through Hawaii Ocean Sports. They took us on a boat to access the beautiful Sandbar. It's nestled in the middle of the ocean 3 miles stretch of sand. Unfortunately, we ended up doing the afternoon tour where high tides took place water level up to our necks. During our ride there, we were served lunch consisting of a turkey sandwich, fruits, and a cookie. Very filling as we were on to our destination while we listened to live music entertaining us along the way. Snacks, towels, drinks, and a bar are available for additional cost. As we approached the Sandbar, we were required to do a brief safety class before heading into the beautiful water. My kids and I were surprised how magnificent the Sandbar was. Definitely a true paradise where our dreams came true. I didn't think I would ever experience this kind of beauty. My son and I were terrified at first as we entered the water, but our life jackets saved us as we were floating. Lots of activities offered which are part of the package including SUP, kayaking, volleyball, snorkeling, or relaxing at the dock while sipping on drinks. We mainly enjoyed ourselves floating in the ocean. The current did get a little rough as it started to pour rain right before heading back to the marina. One advice is to head out early onto the boat before everyone does because the changing and bathrooms can get wet with dirty grounds. Music was blasting with great hits as we ended the day. Made my son and I stand up desiring to dance. Truly this is an unforgettable magical experience. You bet I will make a reservation again when we return to Oahu next year!

GO WITH ANY OTHER COMPANY OR SNORKEL ON YOUR OWN (because that is what will end up happening…read moreanyhow): We paid for a guided snorkel tour, but this company essentially just transported us to the bay. They didn't even purchase admission tickets in advance...they bought them when we arrived, so tickets *could have* been sold out for the day (which is what happened to many others based on the reviews). We spent time waiting at the shop for the transport bus to arrive with the other guests who were being picked up from their hotels, then waited again while those guests were fitted with gear. All that waiting left us with only about an hour and a half at the bay. There was zero snorkeling instruction and no guide snorkeling with us. My husband and I were left to snorkel entirely on our own. When you pay $350 for a guided tour, you expect actual guidance and more than a ride to the location. To make matters worse, we prepaid for the underwater camera, but it was dead from the very beginning. The experience did not deliver what we paid for, and I would not recommend this company. Knowing what I know now, I would just buy my own snorkel gear and go independently, as that is literally what we already did.
