Afterward, I received both a text and email with the inspection results and recommendations. Rene also shared that he regularly partners with local shops for car inquiries and refers customers to specialists when needed, which showed me that they care about getting people the right help. The front entrance has a smaller waiting area with movies playing, which made the wait more comfortable. One helpful note for first-time visitors: when entering the lot, the main entrance is to the left rather than straight ahead. Based on my experience, I can see why they have so many positive ones. My vehicle was having an issue related to the fuel pump. They took the time to properly diagnose the problem, explained what was going on, and made the necessary repair. I really appreciated that they focused on identifying the actual issue rather than just throwing parts at the problem or recommending work that wasn't needed. The final cost did come in a little higher than the initial estimate, but I think it's important to be fair about that. An estimate is exactly that--an estimate. Sometimes additional costs come up once a mechanic gets into the actual repair and sees exactly what is needed. Personally, I don't think it's fair to penalize a business simply because an estimate ends up being a little higher than originally expected, especially when the work is done properly and the issue is actually resolved. I've been driving the car for the past few days since getting it back, and so far it has been running great with no issues. At the end of the day, that's what matters most to me: the problem was properly diagnosed, repaired, and the vehicle is running the way it should. He probably thought I was another dumb blonde, and no, he didn't make me feel that way. He fixed it easily (and explained there is a cable that is a syncing cable, not just a charging cable, which was my issue--apparently I have a bunch of the charging kind) and I was so appreciative. I only found out how bad of a job they did once I took the van to a mobility dealer for routine maintenance. They had to drop the subframe to install the transmission, and when they put the subframe back on they overtorqued the bolts and incorrectly installed the spacers.
