Pit Stop RV & Trailer

On my way to Yellowstone, my motorhome found a pothole on a very narrow, curvy, and busy two-lane…read moreroad, putting my motorhome into a guardrail, damaging the door to the point it won't latch properly. Long story short, Pit Stop RV and Trailer was highly recommended by another RVer. I spoke with Casey, and he felt they might be able to help me out. It was decided that I would stop by there as I passed through on my way to Idaho Falls, about 20 miles south of Rexburg, the next day, July 17th. Before I could even get out of the motorhome, Chase met me, took pictures and measurements of the door and the area around it. I had already made the decision that I would stay in Idaho Falls while Pit Stop tried to locate a replacement door. Casey kept me updated on the lack of success in trying to locate the replacement. I can say that Pit Stop tried all avenues they could before they finally found a business that appears to have one, but the lead time is unknown. Today is August 8th, and because of the lead time to get the door shipped in, etc, I need to leave the area by the 12th. I spoke with Casey about settling my bill. Casey was very quick to point out that the email he sent to me was for whoever I have repair my door when I arrive back home in Nevada as they knew that I was limited on time and that there was NO bill to be paid! These two young brothers went out of their way to locate a door for me and shared the information with me knowing that I may not be around for them to complete the job! I can't say enough good things about the customer service I received by these brothers. The RVer who had recommended them to me told me that while they waited on the axle for his 5th wheel, he was staying at the farm where the business is located in his 5th wheel!

Camping World was unable to get generator working correctly. I highly recommend this small business. Because of their expertise, we were able to continue our travels. Thanks

I called Impeccable RV Service & Repair and Mike diagnosed the problem quickly. All it was is a $20 thermostat. Eldon also told me on another occasion that he was electrically certified so we had him try to fix an issue with the breaker box to our RVs. He had no idea what he was doing. He lied to us! Again, after having someone that was electrically certified come out & they fixed the issue in no time at all. He tried telling me my converter was not working because he had not wired things properly. My converter was fine. He was also supposed to come and fix a refrigerator on my brothers RV the day that he claimed he knew what he was doing with electricity and since he never got around to getting that done He said he would be there to fix it refrigerator the next day. He never showed up & never called after waiting around for him all day. Oh and he drove his truck through a snow covered area in front of our house after I told him multiple times not to do it that he would get stuck & he wouldn't listen to me while boasting about his truck and sure enough he got stuck. He kept trying to get unstuck, without using the shovel I gave him and tore 4 big ruts in the grass lawn and never offered or attempted to fill them. I would highly recommend to never use him.

My mom, who is retired and on a fixed income, recently bought an RV from Camping World of Idaho…read moreFalls so that she could have a place to stay near my house, as I just had a baby. We had a great experience buying the RV, and we felt that everyone was very kind, straight-forward and patient. In retrospect, though, I have two complaints. The first is their partnership with Good Sam's. Nothing good about it. Aaron, her sales person, convinced my mom to buy the extended warranty plan from Good Sam's, which seemed to make sense, as she was buying a used RV and we have no skills in fixing it ourselves. But when the heater stopped working in the middle of the night (and it was 8 degrees, by the way), Good Sam's claimed not to have her policy. Our experience with Camping World's customer service has been less than stellar (second complaint). It's very hard to get someone on the phone who can help with any issue. That said, Mom was able to get someone on the phone finally yesterday. Her name was Leslie, and she was very helpful, tracking down all the records that Good Sam's claimed not to have, including the date Good Sam's cashed the check for her payment on that warranty, since they also claimed to have never been paid. Bottom line: don't be convinced to do business with Good Sam's. Find another policy. It's too late for my mom, and I'm very disappointed that Camping World would recommend that anyone, let alone a retiree who is using her RV as a residence, do any business with Good Sam's.

We purchased a travel trailer in June of this year after looking at numerous different dealers and…read morefloor plans. No specific reason for purchasing from CW other than Coleman trailers are exclusive to them. I was a little worried because of all the negative reviews I'd heard. Our purchasing experience was pretty smooth. We did our homework and knew we did not want to purchase any of the additional warranties/coverages. We have used our trailer regularly over the summer and early fall. The only issue we had was not the fault of CW. We had an ongoing problem with our trailer slide. The service department was great about getting us in and when the problem wasn't fixed initially, they followed up with the manufacturer until the problem was fixed solved. Casey and Jesse were great! Overall a good experience. I'm a firm believer that you 'get what you pay for' in the sense of being educated before making a big purchase and don't blame everything on the dealer.
