He kind of scoffed when I mentioned "Quality" and with obvious reasons. So repairman number 1 cleans it all out, gets it running again and says they will order yet another flame sensor. Meanwhile, Greg, who incidentally, has been quite kind through all this, calls Quality to come out. I want someone to get to the bottom of the issue. Twenty years in my condo, never saw a single heating issue. Now I have issues every year, probably due to poor install. So Quality comes out, replaces the sensor that I've already paid $90 via the other company and I get a bill for $89. I pay the $89 but I'm ticked and tell them as much. Then lo and behold, they decide to send a bill to include $80 for the flame sensor!!! I'm livid at this point and call and the creep is flippant and rude as hell having no qualms whatsoever about the additional charges. Rockwell is awesome and I love my home more than I can say. But they definitely need to cut ties with heating company. The company is totally dishonest and greedy.

It was time to replace the roof that was perilously old after a large windstorm blew off a patch of shingles. Our contractor put in a huge bid, hoping that our insurance company would simply write them a check. Didn't happen. I did an extensive review of roofers in the area and settled on North Idaho Exteriors and one other. Both jumped off of the page. I had solid bids fairly quickly from both companies. Chris Haley reached out to me and sent me all of the information. Chris noted to me that they couldn't get started on it for 3 months but would send a crew out to cover up and patch the exposed area of the roof. A huge help! Wil McGuire called me and let me know that they were going to knock out the roof the next day. I was impressed that they were able to finish the whole project in a day. It makes it much nicer for the tenants. Wil kept me informed of the progress throughout the day with copious photos, videos, and explanations. Sadly, all of our plywood sheeting needed to be replaced as it was very soft and rotting out. There was also a ceiling joist that was in need of repair. The whole tear down and installation was finished within the day. The only downside was the extra cost of the plywood (which I had anticipated). Chris helped me out and matched the other bid that I had received to help soften the blow of the additional cost. The communication process has been amazing. Chris and I have had many very nice conversations (talking about baseball and our kids). Makes it nice when you have a personal connection in addition to the business transaction. We recently bought a home that desperately needed a new roof and mold remediation. The mold issue was a huge health concern for us since we have three very young children and I have asthma. It was urgent to get the roof done ASAP, since it had to be completed before they could start on the mold issue. I talked to several roofers in the area and did several bids. North Idaho Exteriors was the only one that was concerned about my family health and willing to re-arrange their schedule to help us out (due to our time crunch). They were very competitive with their bid, had the best warranty, were extremely friendly and professional (unlike most the others I talked to), left the job site clean, did excellent work, and had it all completed in only two days! We are so grateful we found Chris and Jim at Idaho Exteriors! Thank you soooo much!!!

We needed three toilets removed, a water heater drained and moved to the garage, and three sinks disconnected (unscrew the water source, and disconnect the drain). A week later, these would all need to be reinstalled. I called All About Home Repair and they said that they couldn't give me an estimate over the phone, but they could send someone out the next day to give me a quote. If we didn't end up using them, we would pay a $39 callout fee. If we did use them, it would get credited towards the overall project cost, which seemed reasonable to me. Keaton came out and gave me a quote stating, "It will be over $2,000." I balked at the cost and said that it seemed EXTREMELY high as I have pulled a toilet before and it takes less than a half hour (and that included the time watching the YouTube video of how to do it). He asked me how much I was expecting and I told him I didn't think all of that would be over $800 on the high side. He said they couldn't do that and I said I couldn't do their price. He charged me the $39 callout fee and went on his way. I called the office Manager, Stephanie, and she was very nice to work with and talk to. With that said, I explained the situation and she said she would like to talk to Keaton and then get back with me, which she did just 15 minutes later. She told me that he had not offered me some of the packages that he could have offered (since all three toilets were at the same location), but that he never felt like he had the chance to do so. She went through the pricing with me and it still came out to about $1,200. In the mean time, I was able to secure another plumber to do the work for $600. So while I appreciated the work to get the bid down, it was still significantly higher than what the market is dictating. Stephanie was also kind enough to cancel the callout fee of $39 without me asking (which is why I bumped the rating from a 1 star to a 3 star). In conclusion, Stephanie and Keaton were both nice, but the pricing of the company is the highest I have encountered.

His crew was fast, professional, and patient, taking time to answer even our odd or off‑the‑wall questions. When an unexpected structural issue came up, they immediately worked together to find a safe, professional solution. Their teamwork and genuine care made us feel like family, not just customers. After installing our one‑of‑a‑kind air‑conditioning system, the team returned the next day to ensure everything was running at 100%. That level of follow‑through is exceptional on its own--but it didn't stop there. A week later, Steve called with news that truly amazed us. On his own initiative, he contacted the Rocky Mountain Power Wattsmart Program on our behalf, and we were approved for an incentive that helped offset the cost of the rewiring and installation. Who does that? It was an incredible act of service and integrity. Steve Winn and his team are, without question, #1 in Idaho. Their professionalism, kindness, and dedication made a difficult project feel manageable and even uplifting. Sincerely, Two grateful old folks from Shelley, Idaho David and Karen Petersen
