PLEASE READ BEFORE CONSIDERING TOBIN: 1 star isn't low enough. My elderly parents had a small area of their basement that had water come in. This might have been a 4x4 area at MOST. Myself, and my 85 year old father pulled the carpet, removed the carpet pad, and moved one piece of furniture. We had two fans ourselves (one being industrial) that we put in the area, and then called Tobin. They came and supplied a dehumidifier and a couple of fans. Tobin stated that it would be around 900 dollars. Which seemed reasonable because we handled most of the hard items. The following week, the dollar amount was paid in full, and the fans were removed. My father then received a phone call stating that what was just part of the amount. They wanted $2200.00 more! They stated they have two separate departments. One that tears down and one that puts it back together. This is not agreed upon verbally. Then claiming there are two separate departments when this was NOT communicated upon arrival at the house. Their invoicing practice is fraudulent and dishonest. I will NEVER use them again for any business. I recommend ANYONE ELSE in Idaho Falls. Don't bother having the owner respond to this review. Update: Tobin's owner visited homeowner and reduced the bill. read more

Bad experience with this company, in my opinion they are not very honest, they were not careful in handling my things, most of them were left in bad condition, my house was left covered in dust and my carpet was damaged. I hope other people have better luck than me. read more

Find another company. Tobin and Ryan Welkier did a sub par job on our house, claimed they didn't know how our insurance worked, and now we do not have the funds to fix our home. Also, they left some things undone/uncorrected that allowed the original problem to happen two more times. Sloppy, over-priced, and a complete lack of knowledge. The lack of knowledge really surprised me as it seems they have been around so long. New ownership perhaps? Your neighbor and his shop-vac would have a better idea of how to help than Tobin. read more

They would not offer a quote on any of the work until it was almost all finished, even though I asked literally every single worker they sent for an estimate and no one had a clue. I finally got a bill near the end of the restoration, and it feels very very high to me. I don't know any carpet cleaning companies that charge $600 for two rooms, but Tobin seems to think that's what it costs. They don't offer payment plans, and expect me to pay them thousands of dollars all in one shot. It feels dishonest to me. They are lucky we can pay them. I feel bad for families less fortunate than mine who are coming into the holiday season and expected to pay that. I won't use Tobin again, and I won't allow any of my friends or family to use them either. read more

My parents had a couple trees fall on their garage a few months ago. They still have not done any work to it. They said it would take 2 months just is get the roofers out. But after waiting 3 months the guy handling our case said he can't get anyone out. And to just get someone to do it myself. I wish I would have known that from the beginning. Now my moms homeowners is threatening to cancel their policy if they don't get the work done within a few weeks. read more

The best contractors we have ever worked with. Had catastrophic water damage resulting in total gutting of our master and main bathrooms. Both bathrooms from the floors, painting, plumbing, replacement of the vanities, medicine cabinets, toilets, and fixtures were all done by Tobin. Everyone from the estimators, project manager, and the trades were exceptional. We highly recommend Tobin for all your restoration, remodeling, and new home construction needs. UPDATE: The work on restoring our bathrooms is complete and was exceptional. All workmanship was flawless, timely, and within the estimate. The project manager stayed on top of the project throughout. Tyson, from Tobin, did the majority of the work on our project. He went above and beyond to ensure that we were happy with the work. We have requested Tyson for our next project in the spring. I recently called Tobin to clean up water damage from my broken faucet and wished I hadn't! They do a half-ass job. We had to call them back 3 times to fix things they hadn't done right, they didn't install our doors properly, there paint job is horrible and they talked us into getting flooring that was easier for them to install but harder on our feet than the last flooring we had. Awful! They are super expensive and I feel like once they knew they had the job they wanted there money so they hurried up and finished everything as fast as they can. I would not recommend them to anyone, go somewhere else! read more

I had a major mold problem is my basement! The foundation had several cracks and had been leaking water into my basement for years. What a mess! Tobin came to our rescue!! They were easy to work with, so time efficient and got the job completed for us on time. Can't say enough good things about this company. Nate was so wonderful to work with.
