Why she…read morehad thought it was okay to store paint in our master bedroom is a different story, but living with two large dogs and two small children should tell you the consequence of my painter's poor decision: a half gallon of paint poured directly onto our brand new carpet (only two weeks old). Fortunately, Medalist Cleaners responded fast. They told me to drop a damp/wet towel on the mess and wait for them to suck it clean with their industrial wet-vac. They arrived about an hour later and went to work. 30 minutes after that, they had the paint completely sucked up. The fellow doing the cleaning asked me to check it for my satisfaction and I got in there and really rubbed my fingers and palms down into the carpet and padding. My hands came away looking clean, though closer inspection reviewed a very tiny, almost invisible residue in the cracks of my hands. I asked them to give it a second cleaning and the fellow obliged. The next time I ran fingers through the carpet, they came away clean. Nice job! Medalist Cleaners came fast and helped us in an emergency. I would use them again.

PLEASE READ BEFORE CONSIDERING TOBIN: 1 star isn't low…read moreenough. My elderly parents had a small area of their basement that had water come in. This might have been a 4x4 area at MOST. Myself, and my 85 year old father pulled the carpet, removed the carpet pad, and moved one piece of furniture. We had two fans ourselves (one being industrial) that we put in the area, and then called Tobin. They came and supplied a dehumidifier and a couple of fans. Tobin stated that it would be around 900 dollars. Which seemed reasonable because we handled most of the hard items. The following week, the dollar amount was paid in full, and the fans were removed. My father then received a phone call stating that what was just part of the amount. They wanted $2200.00 more! They stated they have two separate departments. One that tears down and one that puts it back together. This is not agreed upon verbally. Then claiming there are two separate departments when this was NOT communicated upon arrival at the house. Their invoicing practice is fraudulent and dishonest. I will NEVER use them again for any business. I recommend ANYONE ELSE in Idaho Falls. Don't bother having the owner respond to this review. Update: Tobin's owner visited homeowner and reduced the bill.

Installation was postponed for weeks later. They scheduled the installation for 10 am. We moved all of our furniture off the carpet stuffing bathrooms and kitchen with furniture. On the very day of scheduled installation and right at 10 a.m. they call to postpone for the next. I went into the store to make my feelings heard. They then agreed to show up a couple of hours later. They removed the old carpet and pad and only installed the new pad, leaving us with exposed tack strips and our furniture still stacked up. Absolutely not what we were expecting. This is only three rooms! I'm guessing that it wasn't enough of a job to apply full effort at it. Until tomorrow or possibly even later we will be enjoying our freshly laid padding and tack strips. Thank Carpet none.

We have high ceilings in every room and settling issues led to nails popping and cracks, but these guys handled it like it was nothing - everything looks like the day it was built again. They were extremely professional, friendly, and the work was top-notch. We immediately asked them to quote us on another painting job in January based on the results. We didn't find a single paint drip anywhere in the house after they left and no mess or trash left behind. It was a real pleasure having work done by people who really care about the results.

Jamie is a true professional with years of painting and construction experience and an eye for detail. I had one room I knew would be particularly challenging with residue from years of old wallpaper and cracks in the ceiling. Jamie knew how to mud it properly, smoothed everything out, and with the new paint job it's now the most beautiful room in our home. He was willing to take on other miscellaneous tasks outside of painting too like removing old telephone jacks and repairing baseboards. Communication with Jamie was easy and prompt, and I felt like the quote he gave us was reasonable for such a huge job. They truly went above and beyond in every way. We certainly plan to work with Johnson's Painting and More again and would recommend them to anyone.

Summary: Watch out for the pricing - scary high…read more We are doing a renovation of a townhome in Rexburg. We needed three toilets removed, a water heater drained and moved to the garage, and three sinks disconnected (unscrew the water source, and disconnect the drain). A week later, these would all need to be reinstalled. I called All About Home Repair and they said that they couldn't give me an estimate over the phone, but they could send someone out the next day to give me a quote. If we didn't end up using them, we would pay a $39 callout fee. If we did use them, it would get credited towards the overall project cost, which seemed reasonable to me. Keaton came out and gave me a quote stating, "It will be over $2,000." I balked at the cost and said that it seemed EXTREMELY high as I have pulled a toilet before and it takes less than a half hour (and that included the time watching the YouTube video of how to do it). He asked me how much I was expecting and I told him I didn't think all of that would be over $800 on the high side. He said they couldn't do that and I said I couldn't do their price. He charged me the $39 callout fee and went on his way. I called the office Manager, Stephanie, and she was very nice to work with and talk to. With that said, I explained the situation and she said she would like to talk to Keaton and then get back with me, which she did just 15 minutes later. She told me that he had not offered me some of the packages that he could have offered (since all three toilets were at the same location), but that he never felt like he had the chance to do so. She went through the pricing with me and it still came out to about $1,200. In the mean time, I was able to secure another plumber to do the work for $600. So while I appreciated the work to get the bid down, it was still significantly higher than what the market is dictating. Stephanie was also kind enough to cancel the callout fee of $39 without me asking (which is why I bumped the rating from a 1 star to a 3 star). In conclusion, Stephanie and Keaton were both nice, but the pricing of the company is the highest I have encountered.
