Ube soft serve with strawberries, Oreos, & toasted marshmallow. True words to live by!
Laura E.

I Can't Believe It's Vegan! Sorry margarine for stealing your slogan. Omg the ube soft serve is amazing! Creamy and I can taste the ube flavor. You can pick 3 free toppings - I got strawberries, toasted marshmallow, and Oreos. Service was friendly and fast. I sat inside where it was air conditioned and appreciated being able to charge my phone as they have outlets. They also give you a discount if you pay in cash. Pup cups are available for $1. Would come back for sure!

Stumbled across this place when we were near by for dinner. We gave it a try because they had dairy free options which my husband needs. Staff was friendly even though they were super busy. It is a very small space inside (cute bright colors) but they did have a good size area for sitting outside. I am giving a 4 not 5 because the regular ice cream was fine but I didn't find it to be anything special. My husband however was happy with the non dairy option.

Really awesome hole in the wall the provided a plethora of flavors. Really enjoyed the small space, next to a hard kombucha brewery and also kind staff. I would stop by here again and try something new each time.

Super fun and colorful ice cream spot! This is soft serve based ice cream spot and you get to pick your own toppings, makes me feel like a kid again! The staff kindly let me sample the vegan option and I opted to order over the traditional flavors it because it was SO flavorful and creamy -- I would have never guessed it was vegan.

Amazing options that are dairy + nut free! Fun flavors every month, unique cones & toppings to choose from. Plenty of outside seating to enjoy a cone on a warm day. Service is great Best spot to get ice cream & I wish there were more locations!

Good soft serve ice cream! Loved the toasted marshmallow and graham crackers on it. That being said, the ice cream itself tastes like standard soft serve. There are some interesting flavors occasionally it seems, there was one called Blue Moon that tasted like almonds. Quick service and they let you try samples of the flavors! Lots of seating outside, I will say that this was a little hard for me to find this location. It's on the second floor of another building near NBC.

This used to be my favorite ice cream, but it was not as good as I remember. The atmosphere is great, the employees friendly, the edible glitter is amazing, but the ice cream is less creamy and the whole cup was hollow so we didn't feel like this was worth the price at all. I'll still bring the kids here, but I'll get my soft serve fix at other spots now unfortunately!

Dairy Free Soft serve with a gluten-free cone

MN Nice Cream always has something new with their rotating flavors, which makes every visit exciting. As someone with both gluten and dairy allergies, it's such a treat to be able to enjoy a safe ice cream cone--something that's hard to find! While the topping options are a bit limited due to my dietary restrictions, the overall experience is great. The vibe is fun, the staff is friendly, and I always leave happy. Definitely a go-to for a sweet treat!

Vanilla in a gluten free cone with graham crackers and glitter

Cute ice cream shop that was a little confusing to get into (I'm directionally challenged and just didn't know where the entrance was). I truly only got the gluten free cone because it was rainbow. I would not get the gluten free cone again, but did liked the vanilla ice cream! The people working there were also nice and helped me decide whether I wanted glitter or not (they got me with "it's free"). The glitter didn't taste like anything, which was ideal. It just made it sparkle and look pretty. There is seating outside if you want to hang out. Overall, I'd come back to try other things!

Twist Soft serve + Gummy Bears + Oreo + Cookie Dough

Important note: this is a soft serve + fun toppings ice cream shop. It's not traditional ice cream. $: it's expensive. My husband and I paid $15-16 for 2. Could we have shared 1? Yes. Did we? No. Parking: a pain. It's near breweries and other businesses and there's no lot. So you'll likely drive around for a few minutes to street park if it's a busy summer night. Set up: Once you get into the building, you need to wait in line that wraps into the hallway of the building itself because the ice cream shop it's self is narrow. So after you wait to park you wait to get in, haha. Staff was nice! Shop was fun and colorful! If you don't prefer soft serve through, it's not worth the money. I've never hated it, just never loved it and don't feel the need to come back!

Cute place. Great gluten free options. What I really love is the outdoor seating! Super cute. Super fun! Great for a hang out spot. Ice cream was ok. I had the gone bananas... if you get it in a waffle cone eat fast because everything will fall off. Best in a cup. There were like 5 pieces of banana.

Caught the food truck this particular outing and kept it straightforward. Vanilla soft serve in a waffle cone. If you've never been they offer a ton of different toppings you can get and usually have featured flavors. I'm basic so the classic vanilla is always my go to. They also don't do milk based ice cream which is unique and honestly, you really don't notice other than it will melt quicker. If you like soft serve and have never checked them out, hard to pass up. Oh btw my attached picture - $5.50. You can't beat that.

Great flavor and huge choice of toppings! Everything about this truck was fun except the speed of service. Seemed to take longer than it should have. 5-10 minutes to make my Sunday and only one Sunday order before me.

Serving up smiles & cones!

We drove all the way from Victoria, MN, through rush-hour traffic--and would gladly do it again. What truly sets Pumphouse apart is its commitment to fresh, local ingredients and incredibly creative flavors. The seasonal rhubarb ice cream was unforgettable: perfectly balanced, fresh, and unlike anything you'll find at a typical ice cream shop. The experience went beyond the ice cream itself. The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun, making us feel less like customers and more like neighborhood regulars. We're already planning another trip back to stock up on pints before the seasonal flavors disappear.

The rotating menu keeps things exciting, but they always keep a few fan favorites. The flights are one of my favorite things to get. They're mini scoops, which makes it so fun to try different flavors without committing to just one. My top picks are the caramelized white chocolate, the sea salt caramel pecan, and the salted honey. All three are incredible. You can also grab pints to go, and the prices are super reasonable. A five-scoop flight for $6 is such a steal. Pump House is always worth the stop, and easily one of the best ice cream shops in the Twin Cities.

We got a few of the bruschetta and the soft egg and lobster was so amazing! I know its a bit spendy, but it is divine! I at the Bolognese and it was so delicious! Street parking available on hip and trendy Washington Ave! They also have a decently priced valet for diners not looking to search nearby for parking! The interior is moody and hip with dim lighting, exposed brick, and a social energy. It's always busy without feeling stuffy or crowded. The service is top notch...fresh silverware and plates with every course, consistently filled water, servers that are around but not overbearing, and courses that come out with exquisite timing! We enjoyed an appetizer, a few bruschettas, and a few pastas on our most recent visit. Arancini were the perfect start: crispy, creamy, and a little spice from the sauce! Chicken Liver Mousse Bruschetta was the weak point in the meal as it just seemed to be lacking a component that balanced the richness of the mousse. The Crispy Pork Shoulder and Carrot Bruschetta was VERY salty, but I kinda enjoyed how it would make my mouth water, quenched by the creamy carrot puree. The Gnocchi are little pillows of heaven, and the orange sauce is such a pleasant surprise. The real star for me was the Mushroom Agnolotti: little pillows of creamy, mushroomy goodness topped with a plethora of additional mushrooms. Chef's kiss. Can't wait to come back again and again!
