Loved it so much I came back twice on my 4 day trip! The soft serve came in vanilla or coffee flavor (or swirl). I got coffee both times and my favorite was the Ferraro dip BY FAR!! Salted caramel was good, but Ferraro with the nuts were just so perfect and flavor spot on! Sampled the mango sorbet and tasted like real mango, but I couldn't help but love the chocolate cone so had to get the soft serve. Cute shop, friendly staff, enjoyed sitting by the window or on the patio. Central location. Will definitely be back!
Ordered a strawberry gelato which was a generous portion topped on a cone and had good flavor. The shop has a small footprint but still has seating to accommodate several couples. The service was also kind and courteous. They also have soft serve of which pistachio flavor was available along with vanilla and both can be tried as a twist option. It is a nice place to stop in and catch a break from walking around town.
We were walking the pedestrian areas during the evening and our daughter was asking for ice cream. Since we had been out and about all day and it was still pretty warm out, we obliged. Thankfully this little shop was there and had a pretty decent selection of desserts. Once my daughter saw that they had dipped cones, it was a sure thing we were getting something here. She picked the mango sorbet. Her sorbet was really good, not too sweet surprisingly and worked really well with the sprinkle dipped cone. She was a happy camper. We came back again later in the week for some more, this time she got a soft serve which was good. I ordered a crepe this time since I was hungry. The two women who work here are pretty amazing with their team work. Right after I ordered the line grew to probably 15 people deep. They stayed on top of the orders with the ice cream, drinks and making the crepes. The space is quite crowded when waiting for the crepe when there is a long line and it was a bit tricky to get out. But it was all worth it, it was fun to watch the crepe get made. Once I got it outside to eat I was shocked how much food it was. It looks like it had at least 1.5 bananas on it as well as the nutella topping. Super good though, definitely worth sharing as this would be a lot to eat for one person. I would highly recommend this place, even if there is a line they are very efficient.
After the Poutine Fest we attended down by the Old Port, we needed something sweet so my local friend suggested we check out Mlle Catherine. I was thinking I wanted gelato but when we walked inside, I saw they just had a few flavors of gelato and sorbet, but that most people seemed to be getting soft serve dipped in a variety of coatings. As the saying goes, when in Montreal, do like the Romans, so I decided to get a soft serve dip. I chose vanilla soft serve and a sea salt caramel dip with a regular cone. As I started to eat it while my friends were ordering it, I realized this wasn't just any regular soft serve. I expected it to be light and airy like Carvel or Dairy Queen but it was thick, dense and rich...kind of like frozen custard if you've ever been to Culver's in the midwest. The nice thing about that thick, creamy soft serve was that it took awhile to eat so I was able to savor the flavor for a long time. Some soft serve is so airy you're able to eat it in a few bites but this let's you extend your enjoyment. It was a beautiful Saturday evening in July when I went so there were a lot of people in line but they had several women working and it moved fairly fast. Even writing this review, I'm reminded of the rich creaminess and want to go back and have some more!
The soft serve is whatever - too airy for me - but the chocolate dip is legit thick actual chocolate, none of that engineered shell stuff. This is a layer of smooth melt in your mouth milk chocolate. Utter delight. For soft serve, they have vanilla and a rotating flavor of the day. The chocolate gelato was good, but nothing to write home about. It's all expensive but maybe the location demands that. Idk if it's cheaper at their other location. ~14CAD for the cone and single scoop.

80-degree weather, this place gets very busy. A one person show when we visited. It was quite a wait, but it was definitely worth the wait. My kids had the sundae, and they loved it. The highlight was my passionfruit sorbet! A dairy free option: raspberry, mango, and passionfruit. It was nothing I had tried. Being a big fan of passionfruit, I fell in love with this. There are many options of deserts, so pay a visit, and you will not be disappointed. Soft serves, sundaes soberts, crepes and coffee options.

It's been a full month since I visited this spot and I am still thinking about it. We got a chocolate dipped vanilla soft serve. The chocolate was rich and milky (hard to describe good) while the sweetness of the vanilla was just right. I don't really eat much dessert so I was glad I got to share this but definitely wish I could have tried more flavors of their coffee.
What an aesthetically pleasing little establishment located up the strip right in old Montreal. I think the bright colors is what draws patrons into this place. There is seating outside to enjoy your sweet treat. The inside is small, there is no seating options. The menu has everything from - ice cream, milkshakes, hot beverages as well. The staff does not miss the opportunity to speak to each person who walks in. We were immediately provided options and even catered to our request. We ended up getting Coffee based Shake. It was refreshing for a warm afternoon. The store itself carries very unique soft pink & nude color trinkets.
Reviews are largely positive. People praise the flavorful ice cream and gelato, friendly and efficient staff, and generous portions. The shop also features pleasant seating.

Walked here from our hotel after having rooftop brunch at Perché and noticing a pink cute lil dessert shoppe across from us. Looked up their menu, and immediately knew I had to try their gelato! The best gelato I've ever had. They did have a minimal of flavors, but I really enjoyed their cookies and cream gelato! Their pistachio flavor was ok, def had better elsewhere. Although, their dipped soft serve looked amazing and even offered a Ferrero rocher dip. I'll def have to come back and try this. read more

Mlle Catherine is 10/10 ! The vanilla molle avec trempage with any of the chocolate dip flavor options were so delicious!! We came here three times during our four day trip and tried Milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and Ferrero. Beautiful gift store connected to ice cream shop. Kind service. read more

Came here craving sorbet. It's a very small space with 3 tables available to sit around. We tried their mango and raspberry flavors which were on par with other places I've gone to. Staff were kind and patient as we were considering our decisions. Would come again if in the area. read more
The very wisely located shop, right in the middle of place Jacques Cartier does not only serve homemade ice cream, sorbet and milkshakes but also coffee, smoothies, refreshing drinks, like lemonade and slush for those beautiful hot summer days in the old port, and crêpes! We only tried their temporary maple ice cream for now but it was good enough to make us want to return for more. read more
Ferrero rocher dipper soft serve! This is one of the best soft serve / ice creams I've ever had. I'd like to think I'm quite the ice cream snob so believe me when I say this place is my favorite! This ice cream shop is near the Old Port, I went right before watching a show at Cirque du Soleil. It's a very convenient location. The ice cream is so light and you can choose a flavor to dip the ice cream in - we got one with plain and one with ferrero rocher. Both are incredible. The decor here is also super inviting, with floral and pale pink themes across. Highly recommend the soft serve here!!! read more

This adorable place caught my eye as we walked toward the Ferris wheel by the river. It had a cute bicycle and ice cream cone balloon outside. After a ride on the Ferris wheel, we were looking for a little treat. This place did not disappoint. Mlle Catherine herself served the ice cream and she was a doll. My husband got the mango gelato and it was creamy and fruity deliciousness. I got vanilla soft serve with Ferraro Dip on a cone with chocolate sprinkles. Holy hell was it amazing. Sat in the shop to enjoy and then visited the adjoining shop to grab some souvenirs to take home. Highly recommend! read more
Mlle Catherine was an incredible experience, so much so that I had it twice in one day. The wild berry gelato is one of the best strawberry scoops I have ever had and highly recommend to all. The shop offers sorbets, soft serve, dipped cones, gelato, and lattes. Cash and card payments are taken. Staff is friendly and patient. read more

Wow! Mlle Catherine proves that simple truly is best. This small ice cream shop offers a modest selection of ice cream, soft serve, and various toppings/dippings. The flavor and consistency of their treats are to die for. I opted for vanilla soft serve with salted caramel topping--YUM. Every bite was a delight. I had the small salted caramel soft serve with ferrero dip- tasted great. I would have preferred if the soft serve's flavour was stronger and if the chocolate dip actually hardened. Only one person working and she was great taking and making all the orders and cashing people out despite the rushes. Koodos to her! read more

After you're done enjoying your meal at one of the local restaurants nearby, why not grab some ice cream for dessert? Or, if you're one of the many waiting for a table still, grab some ice cream beforehand! There's no rule that states you can't have dessert before dinner! They do not offer vegan ice cream here, but they do have sorbets that don't have dairy in them! The decor and the boutique shop next door are the perfect spots to take your chic Insta-worthy pics of your new cone! The only seating area is located outside, so as soon as you grab your cone and pay, head out the door to be courteous to your neighbors! Since Mlle Catherine is located in the heart of Old Montreal, you can also sit on the benches and people watch while enjoying your ice cream. read more
Mlle Catherine is a beautiful little ice cream shop located on the very busy street of Jacques-Cartier. I googled ice cream shops in Old Port and found a bunch of big names but I really wanted to try a local business so I stumbled upon Mlle Catherine. We ordered a sorbet (pineapple and raspberry) which was very good, the pineapple one especially! They also have other flavours. We also ordered a normal vanilla ice cream in a fruit loops cone. They have a lot of original cones and flavours, especially for the dip! It doesn't get too crowded and the service is quick, the employees are very friendly! I definitely recommend this place! read more

Stopped in here twice over the course of one weekend while exploring Old Montreal. It's a tiny little shop but full of cuteness and deliciousness. They're primarily known as an ice cream shop but they also have a lovely little espresso drink selection, which I took advantage of the first time I went in. It was a cold day so I wasn't in the mood for ice cream, but a hot latte sounded divine. The coffee was tasty and the perfect pick-me-up as I wandered around the neighborhood. The next day I was in the area and couldn't get those beautiful dipped soft serve cones out of my head so, since it was a bit warmer, I knew I had to get one. I treated myself to a swirled vanilla/salted caramel cone dipped in dark chocolate. OH YESSSS. The bittersweet chocolate was a nice contrast against the rich vanilla ice cream and the caramel swirl added a nice saltiness that helped ground the whole cone. So simple but so good. There's a DQ across the square but skip it. This is the only dipped cone you need! Attn: vegans and the lactose intolerant, you can enjoy this too as they do have a few dairy free sorbet flavors to choose from. FYI: No credit. Debit or cash only! read more
Come on it's ice cream; it's summer and it is hot, humid and sticky Montréal. How could ice cream not taste good? Right in the dining area part of Old Montréal, you won't miss this if you have an ice cream craving. They offer sugar, plastic and waffle cones. They offer many flavors and two sorbets: raspberry and mango. I had the mango sorbet: excellent! You won't go wrong whatever you get here. read more
This was a nice little ice cream spot in old Montreal. They have a really ig worthy patio with pastel colours. You can sit on the patio though it's more of a grab and go store. Overall a really nice storefront. You're greeted by the friendly staff upon entering. I believe the soft serve flavours are changed on a weekly/monthly basis as when I went they had coffee soft serve - but other reviews have different flavours. I opted for the twist version and got mine dipped in peanut butter chocolate while my friend got a milk chocolate dip. The ice cream was refreshing and creamy. The coffee flavour was spot on and tasted so good! Not to mention that peanut butter chocolate coating...it was unbelievable! I'll definitely be back to try other flavours though I wish I could know in advance what they have. The price point is a bit high, but nothing unreasonable for what ice cream costs now. Oh and btw make sure you bring debit or cash as they don't accept credit cards! In all a solid spot for some ice cream on a hot summer day! read more
