They were always there when I called and if they could not answer, they texted me to assure me they would call me back... which they always did. They communicated with me through all stages of the project. This included any potential complications and a plan to move forward, arrival times, repair time estimates, and in general to see how I was doing. A+ for communication. You want effective and honest communication when selecting a company.. this is the company to choose. Workmanship: The quality of work was professional grade work. They made sure to not cut any corners. They ensured that they took the appropriate steps to do things the right way and not just cover up anything like experiences I had in my past with other companies. I am a person that understand quality and pride in ones work. The entire team share the same quality, passion, and pride in what they did in all stages of the repairs. They ensured that what they did would last and give me the peace of mind that i needed and would not have to worry about fixing other things in the future. Leadership: Project leadership led their team very well. I can tell that his team is well taken care of and they all appreciated and responded well to their leadership. All employees of various trades under the leadership purview looked like they enjoyed working for the company. I think quality of life in a work environment is very important in the quality and care of what your are paying for when selecting a company. My comments do not come without any credibility. I am in senior leadership and management that had the privilege to lead hundreds of personnel through major installations and there respective departments. I can tell from my 20 years of leadership experience that this team is a well oiled machine and it shows through quality leadership. Trust: It is important to remember when dealing with any project regarding construction there are often setbacks (weather, time, materials, communication etc). I was informed promptly of any shortcomings and it was immediately resolved or communicated to me. When I choose a company I want to have that feeling like that I will not be taken advantage of. I want to walk away knowing that a company looked out for the best interest of me as a customer and my primary asset (my home). They were there for me when I needed them and I trusted them the entire time... and will for future projects. Insurance: I did not have to worry about much regarding dealing with the insurance company. They worked diligently on my behalf to communicate professionally with my insurance company. Having experience with insurance companies is extremely important to make sure that you are taken care of. Quality of materials/appearance: The work I had completed was my entire dining room and kitchen, and half bathroom. The work and appearance looked like my house just came out of an HDTV television show. I was extremely impressed by the showcase status of the work that was done. Extra mile: They worked diligently to make sure to go the extra mile to ensure that the work they completed was on time. I take this into consideration because they all have families. They made sacrifices in their valuable time to ensure that I, as a customer, was their priority. Every time I needed something or requested something to be done, they did not argue, debate, or waste time. They found a way to the word "yes" and usually accommodated my request the same day. They made every effort to meet the needs of my repairs. So I will always appreciate that. Cleanliness: They made sure they cleaned the entire workplace when each stage of the project was complete. Colony and another company had someone over the next day, but Colony was MUCH better than the other in many ways. Their sales manager really gave me a very clear picture of what options were to repair and ultimately replace my roof, whereas the other company really pushed hard for me to buy the most expensive replacement possible - quite a bit more expensive than Colony. The president of Colony called me later that night to see if I had any more questions (I really didn't) - I went with them just as COVID was starting but they were able to quickly get me on their schedule. Their crew was excellent and did a full roof replacement in two days, with guttering a few weeks later once the particular color was available. All the work was good, with a courteous crew that cleaned up the site very well. My neighbors noted how good my house looked (it was pretty good before, I think) and asked for information about the company. What really impressed me, though, is that the company came out and did some quick repairs before the main job at no charge to keep any more water from coming in and then also did follow-up work to repair interior damage at a very reasonable price. I'm planning to do some renovation work done and certainly plan to work with the company. Really a good experience in all respects!
