I a big supporter of black business but when I went to mhk liquidation on Easter Sunday to get a lawn mower.i talk to the owner an he told me they was about to close but he would take me back to look at some lawnmower. So I told him I would come back an pick it up that week .when I came on Tuesday an ask about the lawnmower he acted like he didn't remember me but I was cool with that I just wanted to make my purchase. He told me to go to the back an he would send some one back there. I waited an waited for 30 min no one came .So some one finally came an I showed him the 2 I was interested in he look them up an told me the price would be half of what it cost at home depot .so we walk up to the front of warehouse which he was with another customer an told me that there no money in what I was purchasing an its money in what he was trying to sell which was flooring .I really thought that was very unprofessional to tell a spending customer that I dont care if I was just buying a screwdriver its money im spending with you so I told him you the one told me to come back so we proceeded. I was about to purchase the lawnmower but notice the will was warp an showed it to him then he said he would get another but I have to pay for it first .I said im nit paying for anything until I see the product which he said thats the way he runs his business so I was getting ready to go then he said he would have his helper get another which this time he brong a different one with the front will was warp.also when I look it up in the back with his helper it was 450 but when we took it to him he said 529 but I said ok but he still brong me a bad lawnmower twice his helper got upset an said he was not getting another an I said fine I will go to home depot where I purchased the same one for 430 an sent him a picture. I have been here 3 times first time to get flooring the second tome to get refrigerator which I went through the same thing but with his daughter an he was on phone trying to go up on price an ended up going to home depot an got the refrigerator 300 dollars cheaper this why its hard to shop with black owner like him cause he have no morals at all .I wouldn't advise no one to go to this store read more

We went in looking for a box spring. Had to wait a while and we decided to leave and possibly come back another time. While the owner was helping 2 other ladies, he chased us out the door yelling I spent a lot of money on advertising to get you in here. So.... we decided to go back in. At this point it felt like pressure sales. The owner said do you know who I am? As if that should matter. He was very condescending but we decided to buy the box spring and be done. After running my card, they say they don't have the box spring in stock and wanted us to wait while they looked for it. Mind you, while we were there, the owner was cussing at his employees over the phone and using profanity in the warehouse with other customers in the. Very unprofessional in my opinion which is disappointing because we were really looking forward to supporting them. read more

I came here prepared to support a local black business, but was met with a dejected and dismissive attitude. I perused the warehouse twice found a refrigerator that I liked negotiated a price and when I came to do a purchase and pick up the on my third visit, was told that my $1100 was going to be a drop in the bucket because he had made $30,000 a day. So I took my drop and Lowe's bucket got a brand new refrigerator with a 5 year warranty and delivery for 200 more dollars. Moral of the story, don't settle for subpar customer service. read more

I saw this ad from him Facebook Marketplace and decided to see how much this item really is at Walmart. He says they sell for over $100 each at WalMart and he's selling two for $40. Sounds too good to be true, and it turns out that it IS too his to be true! The reviews I've read really show that he is not a good or honest business owner. This ad is another example of what these reviews are talking about. Being an honest business owner isn't difficult and it give you a good reputation that will give you return customers that will spread the good word about you. read more

0 STARS.THE WORSE COSTUMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER. To keep a long story short, I purchased a sectional sofa from MKH and decided I wanted to switch colors if possible. After 3 days of calls/questions not being answered I decided to cancel the purchase. This is when Mario told me he would not provide a receipt for the refund because "I already wasted too much of his time" and proceeded to call and send me multiple text messages expressing his disappointment about me cancelling the order and requesting a refund. I ended up disputing the charge with my bank to avoid further communication with this "business owner". And depending on what you're getting the prices may not be that much of a deal since he charges $250/ delivery. read more

I love this place!! A lot of the liquidation places are disorganized and just unwelcoming. This place is entirely different. You are greeted upon entering the establishment. It looks like the typical warehouse (30,000sq ft) and please wear your coat and gloves because it is not warm. Everything is divided neatly so you aren't spending all day sifting through items. They have an entire portion dedicated to bathroom vanities that appears to be split up by size. It made it super convenient for me to pop and see if they had a blue 30W vanity. It took all of 10 minutes whereas in other places I could be there for an hour and still not have the answer to my question. They also sell tools (as-is), appliances, lighting fixtures, ventilation, flooring, rugs, and other miscellaneous items. Tip: Before you go to Lowes and Home Depot.....stop by and see Mario. BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT BUY!!!!!!!! Purchased some furniture directly from the website. Prior to placing the order, I contacted the seller to ask the delivery time frame. He said just shy of two weeks. After over a month of false updates, extremely poor communication on the sellers part, and just down right TERRIBLE customer service, the seller tried to offer me a 50% refund stating that their restocking fee is 50%, despite this not being listed anywhere on my order confirmation email or on their webpage. If you value good customer service, a seller that cares about their customer, and the operations of a typical business, take your business elsewhere. Additionally, as you may have already noticed from the other customer reviews, it's highly likely the seller is going to leave some comment on my review trying to explain how all of this was my fault, which just shows you the kind of person you're dealing with. Showed up on a Monday at 12:05 pm. No one where there. Shortly someone showed up. Had to wait until the placed was opened up. Found and photographed what we had eyes on. Went up front. Store keep couldn't tell us the prices until the boss shows up. Boss shows up in a three piece and Gucci looking glasses with his Hugh SUV. Told us the same price for all selections w/o looking at them. Based his pricing on Home Depot. Nothing else. No dickering. Pompass attitude. Didn't listen to our project needs. Great place to go if you're in need of something. The prices aren't much a deal when it comes to appliances or home items. The customer service is good and the location was easy to get to. My advice would be do price comparisons before getting something from here. read more

I want to start by saying he has a LOT in there, some new things some old, flooring furniture appliances etc. and they are about 10% or more cheaper than Home Depot on most things so any of these reviews where people are complaining about prices either don't understand what a "liquidation warehouse" is or is just broke. You also don't go to a liquidation and discount WAREHOUSE and expect that you're walking into a palace or a Target... it's a warehouse. My issue is that in late April my spouse and I were referred to MKH and lakeside liquidation by 2 separate people, Lakeside didn't have enough cabinets so we went to MKH and were pleasantly surprised by the selection available and happy to purchase from a black owned business. We were told we could email him the measurements if we had them so he could send us a quote and have everything delivered. My lady emailed him only a day or so later... a week goes by with no response. Rio told us he was short staffed so I advised she resend them, just to follow up though, I called to see if he got the measurements and he had a family emergency going on so he instructed me to resend. I fwd the email she send back to him (it was now May 18th.) No response... my lady pointed out that even though he hadn't replied he was very active and quick to reply on instagram. So now after a month of no replies I emailed him and decided to post publicly on IG, that I emailed him he replied Very fast on IG and even DMd me asking what my email address was. so I was confident we would have movement...... nope.... No reply. So I reached out on IG again and his auto response instructed me to text him. He also replied on the public post saying he had my costs and would send me them "the next day"... (you think I got them? If you guessed no you are correct) Somewhere in these correspondences I'd even TEXT him the measurements, I knew however he wasn't going to give me the prices so I went back up to MKH thinking "if he's actually too busy to reply to an email or text message if I can get the cost I can at least order the stuff from whoever is there" when I walked in he started to leave and told me "I'm 20 minutes late to take my son to his game" I said "that's cool handle your business but since you said you already had the prices just shoot them over to me real quick, takes like 2 seconds" he apologized and said to text him. Which... as you know, I'd already done. I'm happy for his success... truly, As someone who owns multiple businesses I understand the pressures and the craziness that comes with that, especially when you have little to no help. Even with staffing, a mistake or failure to communicate is inevitable. It is unacceptable however to continue to give an expectation to a client with little to no actual follow through or explanation. I do my best to be fair and give extra chances to small businesses but I can't be expected to chase some one for over a month to spend money. There's also zero grace I can give after over a month... three emails and a text with the measurements, several posts phone calls and having been to the whse on 3 occasions. ESPECIALLY seeing the amount of online engagement that happens on an almost daily basis. Initially I considered offering my recruiting companies services but I've lost faith in his follow through, if I sent him applicants... would they have to go through what I did just to get the job? No clue. He doesn't need my money but I recommend anyone who needs a quote to ask for it publicly on his IG... texts emails and in person didn't work for me. read more

We stumbled upon this warehouse while exploring the area. From the parking we were waved in and greeted. Asking a few questions we learned that before purchasing you need to check out the entire items. This surplus can be damaged, missing a part, or discontinued. There are no returns or money back. You are buying at your own risk. Today, this place was clean and organized. This place is perfect if you're flipping a home or need a microwave, coffee pot, snow blower, and even handicapped toilet items. You can buy a wrapped pallet of items at your own risk. 2 big issues. Other than being it being very dirty, discounts are not high enough for the garbage being sold, a lot of which is damaged and broken. Bought a vacuum, upon getting home not only was the head defective but so was the battery so it barely works at all pretty much trash. $100 down the drain no return policy. Second purchased a vanity that retailed for "$268", was offered it for $150 without mirror or top, turns out it sells brand new with mirror AND top at Homedepot for $199, and that includes Home depots assurances and return policy. Not worth a few bucks in savings for returned garbage that is damaged, and potentially more broken than visible. read more

I checked this place out the employee was extremely rude and seemed like he didn't want me there. I asked a price of an item that I ultimately didn't end up buying because of the price, and the employee went on a tangent following me around and even out the door to my car harassing me, felt like an episode of the twilight zone, that guy has some serious issues with rejection and anger. I didn't think anything like this could happen to me, now I just want this guy permanently out of business before he dose it again. read more

I needed a dryer the owner told me he had a brand new one and would give it to me for 100$ took it home got it hooked up doesn't work. I went back to see what he could do and he responded with " I told you it was new I didn't say it worked" when I told him he was wrong for this he threatened to and I quit " fuck you up" so I left ! point is do not support this scam artist he is lucky I am who I am and just left.
