My house is a hundred years old so a fifteen year warranty sold me. Their estimate was right what I expected it would cost. It cost me an extra $355 for that mistake.

All the good reviews, LIES, FAKE & FALSE!…read more I had a tree come down on my house last July 2026, I called them and they came out to look, the guy, Trevor, said this was no problem and he'd get a quote to me within a couple days... I called them to ask about it, a week or so later, I always got the same response, "Trevor is busy, he'll call you back today" or "I'll look into it and call you back" It is now almost October, I have called every week or so, NOTHING! I was told on one of my many calls that,Trevor, is no longer an estimator and they said they'll get someone else out to look at it; another week or so later, still nothing. I called again on Friday the 18th of September, the woman said "We have to pass on this job, we don't have the equipment to do it." I asked if they could recommend another company and that witches response was "We don't recommend or refer other companies" I am beyond pissed and winter is right around the corner, my roof is still not fixed and now I need to start all over again. This company can rot in he'll! If you are looking for a roof fix, do not call Roach Home Improvement Llc. Don't make the same mistake I did. I hope you get shut down, Roach! You do not deserve even 1 star but could not add this without one

Unfortunately, they didn't get back to me, but when I called them, they set me up with a date to come out and fix the garage door opener (it was just before the holidays and they were short staffed, so I certainly don't hold anything against them for not getting back to me within the original timeframe). The gentleman who came out and fixed the door was great - knocked out everything quickly while I continued my own work. $500 seemed fair to put in an all new garage door opener and keypad. The only thing keeping me from giving them five stars is that the repair man took down what code I wanted for our keypad but didn't program it using that code. I had to read through the instructions and reprogram it myself. Other than that, solid place. I'd recommend it to anyone.

A Truly Exceptional Contractor -- Valiant Contracting Earned My Full Trust!…read more A backed‑up sewer drain forced me into a complete bathroom gut and remodel -- the kind of nightmare project no homeowner ever wants to face. From the moment Valiant Contracting stepped in, the stress lifted. Their quote process was straightforward and refreshingly honest, with no fluff, no pressure, and no surprises. What set them apart was the control they gave me at every stage. I chose every fixture, every material, and even where each item was purchased. Zach, Aaron, and Justin treated my home with respect from day one. They were consistently polite, considerate, and professional -- the kind of crew you don't mind having in your house. The workmanship was outstanding. They moved quickly without cutting corners, and the final result looks and feels like a high‑end custom build. Even after we decided to replumb the shower and a sink to PEX -- a smart recommendation from Zach -- the total cost still came in far below the other quotes I received. Valiant Contracting is the rare company that takes real pride in their craft, and it shows in every detail of the finished bathroom. I recommend them without hesitation or equivocation. If you want a contractor who communicates clearly, works efficiently, and delivers exceptional quality at a fair price, this is the team you want on your project.

We recently purchased our forever home and the stairs to the basement were horribly steep and even…read moredangerous. We walked away from this house once because of that, but when the house came back on the market, we knew this was the home for us! We purchased it "eyes wide open" knowing we had to do something with the stairs. We spoke to a lot of knowledgeable people who all said the same thing. This would be a challenging job because the stairs would have to be demolished and rebuilt, but we still only had the space that was there to get the correct rise and tread sizes, which would impact the head space at the bottom. In other words, a tall person would have to duck...and this would never do! I had three carpenters look at my stairs. The first carpenter shook his head and said he had no clue where to start. The second carpenter was Brian from B&C, who I found through an online search and was blown away by their great reviews and the pictures of their amazing work! Brian immediately started calculating available space, and thinking outside the box. His knowledge and transparency inspired me to have great confidence in him and his price was super reasonable! The third carpenter came across as this being not a great challenge, which I knew better, and proceeded to give me a price that was nearly double of Brian's. So, our choice was clear. Brian had pre construction meetings with us to keep us apprised of his plans, as well as meetings during the construction. After calculating and brainstorming with his crew, he said he could reframe the ceiling at the bottom to give more head space. He also discussed cutting into and reframing the top landing to get additional space. Brian kept us informed each step of the way and his craftsmanship was impressive. We started the work on November 1, with our only deadline being completed before Thanksgiving. Brian completed our work in about 10 days! While I did post a couple of finished photos, B&C's websites will have good before and after pictures. I wholeheartedly recommend B&C for any carpentry job. You will get honesty, integrity, transparency, great communication, fair pricing and old fashioned craftsmanship!

When we first went to BCT in May 2021 to shop for new carpet we met John and he was very nice and very helpful. We were looking to carpet a very small living area, hallway and staircase. We brought samples home and decided on a Milliken Nylon carpet. We set up the measure and they came the following week. We waited a few days for the quote and when we didn't hear anything back from Robin, my husband reached out to her so we could get the quote and get things rolling. When we received it VIA email my husband had to request a break down of material , labor etc. because Robin didn't offer one. We never saw a diagram and I didn't know we should have been shown one. She only sent the cost. When we got a breakdown, we placed an order for a 13ft carpet and a bound edge for the staircase carpet and set up the install for July 12th. July 12th..JT was our installer. JT arrived at 8am with helpers to help unload the carpet from the work van, the helpers left, leaving JT . Our carpet was brought into our home in sections, which I thought was odd because we ordered in a 13 ft roll. They are the professionals so I trusted they knew what they are doing. We ordered the edge for the staircase carpet to be bound. It was not. A phone call to Robin and there were no apologizes, only excuses. She said it was bad communication between us. The bound edge is on our invoice and suppose to be ordered that way. Robin screwed up. So the staircase carpet was delayed. No apologies. July 13.. JT came in the morning to finish up the install. When he left I noticed a seam in the middle of our hallway and a second seam directly down from the first one in our main hallway. I was livid. This is a very high traffic area in our home. It was very visible and there was absolutely NO reason to have ANY seams there. The carpet that transitioned into our kitchen to hard wood flooring we requested to have rolled and it was lumpy and the edging was so uneven it looked horrible. There was a hole in the corner of the carpet going up our staircase where it looked like JT cut it short so he tried to hide it by tucking the carpet into the hole. The carpet was loose in areas and the cuts were uneven in locations by our heaters and by the walls. I called Battle Creek Tile immediately and asked to speak with Robin. She was on vacation. I spoke with another gal in the office and explained the awful install and how upset we were. We spent almost 4 grand on this carpet! She was going to leave Robin a message. That was not acceptable. I took video and sent Robin a ton of pictures. I called and asked to speak to John (owner) because I was so upset. John pulled our file. A few minutes later Robin called me. She was sending someone to our home the next day to asses the problem. Again no apologies. July 14th..Adrian came to asses along with JT. I pointed out all the flaws. I expected Adrian to come take a look and agree that the whole carpet needed to be replaced. She said I would have to take that up with Robin or John she was only here to fix the seams or any other problems. I was on the phone with Robin at that moment while Arian and JT were here. Robin tried telling me there was nothing wrong with the carpet and it could be repaired. I told her you can't move seams and I didn't want seams in our main traffic area of our home!!! Robin was very argumentative and tried talking over me. She finally agreed and said she would get the replacement ordered. Again, no apologies July 29th..I received email from Robin that our next install for the replacement was scheduled for "August 31st". August 12th..I received email from Robin that Milliken pushed production to August 20th.. August 23rd..Email from Robin w/attachment. Carpet was delayed per Milliken. Sept 31st. Adrian and Scott installed replacement and we are happy. I will give them credit for replacing the carpet and say Arian did an amazing job with the second install.
