    After my latest experiences with Dunham's, I won't be back…read more Went in last week for an advertised special on gravity chairs. We selected our chairs and went to checkout. When the chairs didn't ring up as advertised, the cashier called a manager. The manager explained that the chairs we selected were not included in the special, even though the price and brand matched exactly with the printed advertisement we brought with us. When we decided to leave without purchasing the chairs, the manager offered us a smaller discount, provided we were willing to make the purchase in two transactions. We should have run, but decided to take the offer. We left, mildly dissatisfied, but happy to be done shopping for Mother's Day. Since then, we found a much better deal on higher quality gravity chairs (for less!) elsewhere and decided to return the Dunham's chairs. We were only able to locate one of the receipts (for identical transactions) and understood that store credit would be offered in place of refund for the chair without receipt. What I wasn't prepared for was the reduced refund amount. We purchased the $70 chairs for around $60 last week at a "manager's special" discount, but apparently the chairs (which were full price again today) were sometime available for $40. Therefore, even though I had just been refunded the full amount on one chair (with receipt), I took almost a $20 loss on the other chair. It upsets me more, because I am certain that if the price difference had been in my favor, Dunham's would have only given store credit for the discounted amount. Even more upsetting was the attitude of the manager who came to help. Upon seeing the lower amount, the cashier agreed it should be adjusted to the refunded amount of the other chair and called over his manager. She was rude and suggested I was lucky to be able to return the chair at all. A little pleasantry would have gone a long way. The next time I need camping or sports gear, I'll take my money to a big box store.

Nate was looking to try on some soccer shoes for sizing, and we were meeting my family for dinner at Mitchell's nearby, so we stopped in here for a bit. The store was bright, clean, and well-stocked. We were able to find an employee right away to help us pull sizes. The shoe selection was vast and had some sales going on. They had a huge wall of Stanleys which was so vibrant and colorful! I also noticed some really fun Lions gear. The parking lot is large, but it was quite busy, so you may have to park a little further out and walk a bit.

She provided a print out of the receipt for me. She did not provide a detailed receipt but it showed the date, transaction number, item and amount of sale At the store I encountered the Manager, Eric who as very rude and condescending. He told me I could not return the item even though the customer service representative told me I could. Eric did not take time to look up any information and advised me, the return policy limited returns to 30 days. being confused after this exchange, I then contacted the online complaint department and spoke with a representative (Sabrina) who was also very helpful and researched my issues. after researching the issues she contacted her supervisor and advised me I could return the item to the store after looking up my receipt which included the extended warranty. Sabrina then call the store to speak with Eric about the return. She then advised me I would be able to return the item after speaking with Eric. the next day, I went to the store and spoke with Eric who again was rude and wanted to justify his earlier decision to reject the return as I did not tell him I had an extended warranty. If he had taken time to look up the sale he would have seen that I did purchase the extended warranty. Eric was not customer friendly and I advised him I would not engage in an argument with him. he begrudgingly processed the refund. I would advise that: 1. you not purchase the Maxfli 2024 Hybrid Travel Cover. 2. Retain all receipts 3. document your conversations with all team members I will not be shopping at the Lansing store where Eric is the manager.

    DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! This was one of the most…read morehumiliating and infuriating experiences that I've had in my 50 plus trips around the sun.... On yesterday, 7/31/19 around 6:30 pm, my fiance and I went to Dunham Sports in the Lansing Mall. I am a handgun owner and I wanted to look at a different caliber of one of the guns that I already own. Prior to my trip to the mall, I had just attended a job interview in downtown Lansing. For the record, I am a semi-retired nuclear engineer with over 26 years of work experience. I am of african american descent. I have held a government-issued secret security clearance for some of the work that I have overseen. I was impeccably dressed in a business suit and tie. My fiance and I decided to visit the Lansing Mall because we had a little time to kill before returning home. I approached the gun counter salesman and asked to see a handgun from the glass case. The salesman, who said his name was Austin, asked my for my driver's license. I handed it to him. He then asked if my current address matched the address on my license. I said no since I had moved recently. The salesman then apologized and said that he could not allow me to see any guns in the case since my current address didn't match my driver's license. I said that this seemed irregular since I have purchased and owned a few handguns. I asked my fiance to provide her license so that I could look at the gun. Again, the salesman apologized and said that I could not see the handgun since I had originally expressed interest in seeing the gun. Incredulous, I asked for the name and contact information for the District Manager responsible for the Lansing store. On my way out of the store, the salesman gave me a piece of paper with a name and phone number on it but cautioned me that the District Manager would be out of the office on vacation for a week or two. While shopping at other stores in the mall, I called the number the salesman had given me. Someone from the Midland, MI store answered. I asked to speak to a store manager and told him what had just happened. I asked if it was normal store policy not to allow a customer to even see a handgun unless their current address matched their driver license. He said that that was definitely NOT corporate policy. I returned to Dunham's Sports in the mall and asked to speak with the store manager. I told him what happened earlier and he agreed that Austin had followed store policy. I told him that I would be contacting the Dunham's Sports Corporate Office. Saying I am disappointed in the total lack of customer service and professionalism provided by the Dunham Sports sales people and store management at the Lansing Mall location would be a MAJOR UNDERSTATEMENT. Update: As of 8/1/19 at 11:00, I called and left a voicemail with Will, the district manager for the Lansing Mall store, asking him to give me a call back. I will update my review as soon as he or someone from the corporate office calls me back.
