She put down the facility that my daughter goes to for lessons. My daughter witnessed White hit the horse in the face with the reins repeatedly. She was very rude in talking AT my daughter. When White would ask my daughter questions White would roll her eyes at my daughter's answers. When my daughter was crying on the horse, White tried to tell me how to parent. My daughter, who loves horses and received the lesson as a gift cried historically once in the car. I would not recommend White Wind to anyone.

Eric is the trainer and what an awesome one at that! He is kind, funny, encouraging and SO knowledgeable! He doesn't make your head spin with technical jargon. Everything is broken down so even the most nervous inexperienced rider would be able to understand what he is trying to convey in a lesson. From children to advanced adults, all you see are happy faces when people are in the arena with Eric. Myself included! I've had many a lesson with a handful of trainers. Eric is by far one of the easiest to relate to. Down to earth comes to mind. The facilities are wonderful. The patrons I have met all seem welcoming and pleasant. The lesson horses are great too! I am looking forward to continuing my riding education at the Chase. My next lesson can't come soon enough!

The barn is clean and large. The horses are friendly and always put a smile on my face. I am looking forward to my lessons twice a week. Safe to say I've fallen in love with riding thanks to The Chase! Very excited for my future lessons and would highly recommend them. The horses have turnout (which can be hard to find in Oregon!) and quality care here. The indoor and outdoor arenas have great footing. The new outdoor arena is simply gorgeous! Gorgeous views and jumps for horses. Sarah has a show program and a lesson program to get involved in. I recommend this barn 100%! It is difficult to find quality barn owners that are this passionate and caring for horses and clients alike.

The club has been up and down through the years in terms of management due to the challenges and costs of caring for horses particularly in an urban setting. We have found many amazingly dedicated horse people keeping this place going through all kinds of obstacles. A new manager started July of 2025. She has been busy making lots of improvements with support of board and volunteers. If you have wondered about trying out the Hunt and are concerned about quality based on reviews, you might take another look their programs including summer camp. We have found the Hunt to provide a, relatively, affordable way for our daughter to become a true horsewoman. She is now studying at OSU's equine science program. Also, if you are a parent, you might enjoy the old timey feel of the historic building and/or the surrounding nature, parks and trails. I have enjoyed visiting and being part of the community.
