We have found many amazingly dedicated horse people keeping this place going through all kinds of obstacles. A new manager started July of 2025. She has been busy making lots of improvements with support of board and volunteers. If you have wondered about trying out the Hunt and are concerned about quality based on reviews, you might take another look their programs including summer camp. We have found the Hunt to provide a, relatively, affordable way for our daughter to become a true horsewoman. She is now studying at OSU's equine science program. Also, if you are a parent, you might enjoy the old timey feel of the historic building and/or the surrounding nature, parks and trails. I have enjoyed visiting and being part of the community. They refused and gave her and her clients 30 days to leave and refused to allow her to train her clients during those 30 days. They also closed the pastures for our horses and kept our stalls very filthy. I was utterly suprised by thier behavior we had never had issues with them in the past nor had I ever heard of anything negative about them from my trainer. My trainer had said she had asked for the gate to be closed several times and they were very stubborn about it.

If you are looking to board your horse at a nice facility with no drama, this is your place. Bob…read more(owner and primary caretaker) genuinely loves horses and will treat yours like his own. They get daily turnout in large areas with lots of enrichment opportunities--hills, streams, rocks, cattle, dogs, etc. There are a few miles of well-maintained trails and tree farm roads on the property for trail riding, plus a huge indoor arena and an outdoor arena for when the weather permits it. Stalls are big (10x15), as are the individual tack closets and extra storage area. Trailer parking is free and ample. Your fellow boarders are low-key and helpful. This is NOT a show barn, and there is no trainer onsite. Part of the property also functions as an outdoor wedding venue. I haven't been to an event there, but the landscaping is incredible.

We went on a Saturday which was really busy and unfortunately they ran out of several food choices. However, service was really great which made up for it and the lines moved fairly quickly. My kids liked their pizza. One suggestion would be to offer a pumpkin beer for purchase. I did appreciate that they had cider options. My son's favorite activity was the ball launcher and my daughter's was seeing/petting all the animals. We had a great family day there which also included The Bird Man show and the Magic Show which both my kids enjoyed.
