Being a "little" late to the game, I yelped for a local butcher shop around West Linn - in search…read moreof quality, organic and local meat. Yelped and the reviewers did me right by directing me to this OC old school favorite - having been in business for over 45 years! I was serviced by the owner himself (Tim) - and he made certain my first experience wouldn't be my last. Brought home a sirloin steak for the nights steak salad plans - but couldn't help also picking up 2 filets, a Tri-Tip, New York - and a fresh dog bone I got to select out of a box they brought out for me. Lovely people. And let me tell you - the Saturday night sirloin was exceptional! I'd strongly suggest Butcher Block meats for everyday and special events...and for you Traeger Folk...think "BIG Briskets" and ribs galore!

There are not enough words to express the gratitude for everything they have and, continue to do for my family and I. We met Linda a year ago, never imagining how it would impact our lives in such a beautiful, meaningful and special way. When we met Linda, she showed us her farm as she was also sharing learnings about the love, healing and care of horses in such an easy way for our kids to comprehend and appreciate. Her values, approach and love for nature blew our minds. As we approached the end of our meeting, my husband and kids walked back to the car while I stayed with Linda a little longer as I wanted to share with her that my son was recently diagnosed with ADHD and, I wanted to get her thoughts about how (and if) horse riding lessons could benefit my son. Keep in mind, that the isolation driven by the pandemic only added to my son's anxiety and enhanced other issues. I was desperate and i was at a breaking point where I felt so helpless and thought there might not be something out there that would be safe and could help us. As I was sharing this with Linda and, tears ran down my mask, she gave me a strong hug and continued to listen. She didn't have to listen to me, she didn't have to comfort me and she certainly didn't have to give more of her time yet, she did and, willingly with such a pure loving heart. Horse riding lessons was certainly a game changer for my son, Kelly is instrumental! My son gained confidence, he was able to start looking into his trainer eyes when talking and being talked to, he was able to be and remain calmed most of the time, he connected with each horse he rode, he cared and respected horses feelings, etc... so many benefits. Heck, I even started learning how to connect with horses and care for them (I even got to have a few riding lessons myself). It certainly takes a village. I could probably write a book here . We are so thankful, blessed and happy to be part of the Wild Horse Mountain Farm family. BIG shout out to Linda and Kelly! Thank you for all that you do and all that you are.

My mom got our daughter…read morea Groupon for Christmas for 4 lessons.( Our daughter was born with a gift of loving horses and so good with them! she's rode a few times and did summer camp here. ) My husband and I felt very disappointed until we gave them another chance buying another month of lessons at normal rate (as they won't let you use another Groupon even if you didn't purchase it. ) we were skeptical. ......... Until we met Molly. She BLEW us away! She changed the game. Our 9 year old really responded to her well, it was shocking the change in her attitude and lesson. Finally, our daughter was riding like she should've been the whole time. Learning more in that one lesson than the entire month before. I would say we lost money in that fist month but in the end we were blown away. It was worth it. I cried at our last lesson (fist with Molly) as I FaceTimed my husband a mom as well as videoed our daughter doing so amazing and riding with confidence. Molly changed the game. We now have each lesson with Molly and found our daughter the best lady in town! It was worth it in the end. I think you just have to find your child or yourself a teacher that fits best with your child's or your personality. I wish it didn't take as long as it did though. I don't like to see my daughter in lessons with "teachers" doing nothing though(especially at the rate in this economy) which sucked but there is a silver lining thankfully... we went through 4 "teachers" and we only want molly! The owner has been amazing as well to communicate all our needs and help us make our daughters dreams come true in this life of being a horse riding cowgirl! Thank you Amythyst!!! Molly is a star!

We had my daughter's 11th birthday party here and it was really great! After the adults signed…read morewaivers and the kids picked out helmets and got a quick safety chat, they were ready for some horse time! The kids each had a turn brushing two horses (we were a party of 12). Then they each rode for about 10 minutes on the two horses around the indoor arena. Some even got the horses to trot! They made sure we had time for photos with the birthday girl and the horses. The party ended the party with everyone taking turns giving the horses some treats. Everyone was smiling ear to ear. The party ran for a little over one hour. Hot tip: bring jackets since it was very cold in the barn. Thanks for the great time Amethyst! Highly recommend.

Beware of the website! It doesn't look legitimate…read more I visited the farm on February 14, 2018, Dan's 70ish birthday (also Oregon's BD, and Valentines' Day. I got to meet the owners, Sue and Dan, as part of a field trip of Oregon Culinary Institute students. They were marvelous. Dan expertly butchered a lamb for us and we had bbq. I'd hoped to keep in contact with them, as a culinary sources and knowledge contact. However, a few weeks later, the COVID shut down everything. Their website was really good, well maintained, as they were an international supplier of agricultural commodities. After looking at their current website, it does not seem to be related to SuDan Farms. It wants to redirect you to other websites and other companies. AVOID. I will continue to research this website.

Awful place, yes they do have exotic animals, which is cool. But it stinks so bad there, the cages…read moreare small and not well cared for. I felt sorry for these animals and wonder how they got a license to keep them. The animals were dirty and some had very little shelter from the rain and cold. They charge for everything here, we only did the inflatables they were $1 each ( there is a total of 3 of them.) The food area looked scary too. The glove the man was using looked pretty old and he didn't even have one on the other hand. Then he only wore it for a short time. I will never go back to this place.

They were in small dirty cages and seemed distressed. One rabbit we saw had a vicious infection in it's ears. The place is supposedly an exotic animal rescue operation, could've fooled me. It was quite disturbing. My girlfriend and I were debating making a call to some agency to investigate their operation. They have inflatables for the kids and a train ride (car ride) but its nothing to write home about. There is also a hay bale maze which looks as if they used last years hay because there is mold growing on it. We were going to go out to Sauvie Island but we decided to try a place closer to home this year. Alas, we are going to Sauvie Island next weekend.
