Their tour was running late- by late I mean 40 minutes... so we had to shuffle things around party wise. The tour consists I of seeing the animals. Didn't realize that the Ostrich were there for lol meat purposes. During the tour kiddos got to feed them. They have a few different areas to roam, with some tables. It's a decent sized place. I think it could use some TLC though.

If you're planning on visiting, make a reservation for ether a group or private tour. The group tour is $15 per person while the private tour is $150 for the entire group. The only drawback with the group tour is you don't know how many people might be in it. We had almost 40 in our group and that was a bit too many in my opinion. When you arrive, check-in is inside the red barn. They'll let you know which group tour you belong to. They have port o' potties and hand washing stations behind the barn. If you end up getting any food from the food truck (ostrich sliders and ostrich philly steak style sandwiches), you can bring it into the barn where there's picnic style tables and benches. The "gift shop" is also inside the barn. If you do come on wet day or after it rains, be sure to wear appropriate shoes...it can get muddy as you walk from one animal area to another.

We've been going for the last five years so we have a number of favorite things: **Lion's Club burgers with grilled sweet Walla Walla onions **waterski show **lumberjack competition **carnival rides (almost all are fine for ages 5 and up but will bore teenagers) **evening concert (The Bob Miller All-Star Band headlined Saturday night). The fair begins on Friday night and continues through the weekend with a parade Saturday morning. Also, isn't a summer fair the best place to people watch and catch a glimpse of the teenage mating rituals. It breaks my heart to think my boys are only a few years away from getting their hearts stomped by the ladies.

They had some rides, some food, some fun activities, and lots of nice people. I am no ride expert, but there was a ferris wheel, one of the circular spinning swings, a tilt-a-wheel, and lots more. Looked fun, but we ran out of time. The food was a good selection with hamburgers, Mexican, Hawaiian, and pizza for the main courses. There was cotton candy, rhubarb/strawberry pie, elephant ears, and churros for dessert. We tried the burgers, the pizza, pie, and the churros. The burgers were pretty fair (haha pun), but the pie and the churros were both better than I expected and quite tasty. They had nice kayak&canoe rentals, some shows/demonstrations, and fun stuff. They had a whole truckload of e-drums for the kids to try (headphones included!!!!!). The rubber duck race was silly and fun even though the concept seemed odd at first. They dumped in a whole bucket load of numbered rubber ducks up river and then whoever's numbered one got down first wins. Fun! The highlight for me was the lumber-jack competition with all sorts of crazy chainsaw and axe demonstrations and contests. The craziest of these had to be the motorcycle engines powering some chainsaws that were crazy loud and crazy fast at cutting up wood. All in all a fun time!

LOL The pizza was good, and I especially appreciated that the slices were about 2.5 pieces to a normal big slice. It was perfect for the kids. I'm pretty sure we might have overstayed. The play space is chaotic and overwhelming but they certainly have many activities to choose from! Lots to see in the cabin and in the house. We particularly enjoyed the cabin, as it had many antique tools, and much antique kitchenware and furniture. We didn't see the inside of the jail. Nothing to see apparently, as it is just a wood blockhouse with a dirt floor, and only ever had one inmate. For one night. (His pig apparently escaped and did some damage to the neighbors' gardens). Parking was a bit confusing, but there's a free lot, street parking and a 5 dollar parking lot.
