    Milking with Marc

This farm is located in the more rural part of Canby. It is a very nice, intimate space. There is typically some sort of food cart on the exterior. You can get items like the cowcohol or milkshakes inside the store. As your progress to the side of the property, there is a closed area with stools where the distillery is. Next to that is the feeding area for the adult cows. We were there on a scheduled Friday on a tour with Marc. He gave us a thorough history and explained everything. He was very friendly, approachable, and patient with the kids. They each had the opportunity to milk two cows and help clean up afterwards. We ended the night by visiting the stalls. There were plenty of fresh calves that were only a few weeks old. Our daughters were handed some milk bottles to give them. To boot, the highlight of the evening was a cow actively giving birth to a baby! Definitely a beautiful place to visit, especially during the warmer days. The animals are clearly treated well. Staff is super welcoming. It's a great family affair!

Wow what an awesome place!! My wife, myself, and my 4 year old daughter were visiting Portland and were deciding whether we should go for a long drive to see the Tilamook factory. I wanted to do something a bit more intimate and maybe not quite as far of a drive and after searching, learned about the TMK creamery. It was perfect!! It's not that far from portland, the drive is nice, and the place was exactly what we wanted. We all loved seeing the happy cows, my daughter absolutely had a blast seeing the baby calves and feeding the cows hay. You can tell this place treats their cows well. After spending a very long time with the cows, we got some ice cream which was delicious. We also bought some cheese curds which were the best cheese curds I've ever had. They were somehow more creamy than others I've had, and not quite as "squeaky" if that makes sense. It was fantastic. The workers behind the counter were really nice, and the area where you eat is really clean and bright. I would highly recommend visiting this place. I also got to sample their vodka which was good as well!

TMK Creamery is a spectacular little family-run dairy farm, with something truly for everyone. I mean, who doesn't love cute, cuddly cows and calves, ice cream, cheese and, of course...cowcohol! Wait...what is cowcohol you ask? Why, vodka distilled from whey protein, of course! Nominally, whey is a by-product of the milk manufacturing process, but I guess the slogan here at TMK is "whey-st not, want not!" Oof...yeah, that was a groan-worthy pun. Better keep moo-ving on with this review! We took a guided tour of the distilling process (FYI, TMK is believed to be the only hybrid creamery/distillery in the world), spend some quality time with their "cow-lebrities", including Miss TMK (a bovine beauty so special, she has her very own single-cow cheese!), and be treated to some free ice cream in their farm store, which also serves up smoothies, burgers and sandwiches, charcuterie boards, fried cheese curds, and other dairy delectables! We purchased a booze strawberry smoothie, made with that fantastic cowcohol, as well a 375ml bottle of the stuff to take home (for $39.95). Vodka is generally a bit too potent to take straight, but TMK's offering is smooth enough to sip on its own, so we can't wait to experiment with it! I only wish they sold larger bottles. TMK is a little off the beaten path, but it's a wholesome, family-friendly, family-run operation, that takes great pride and care in their livestock, and the products they produce from them, from start to finish. Very recommended for anyone looking to spend a day learning where the groceries we take for granted come from, and meet the people who keep us fed, fat and happy!

This place is a lot of fun. You can walk around and look at the cows. There's inside and outside seating with heaters. Food is burgers, Mac and cheese, milkshakes and more. Its run by a family and service is great!

So if you look closely you can see the dark hair from the girl cooking the food

Not a bad place and the girls inside are always the nicest but this time we got some food from the food truck and it wasn't so nice I love their hot dogs in the freezer and their milkshakes but I think it will be quite some time before I come back to try anything from the food truck again

    Fried cheese curds FTW!!!

Such a fun place! The first time I came here it was dark and raining, and it felt like a MISSION. But the second time I came it was sunny, and that was a very pleasant drive through the countryside. The fried cheese curds are incredible. I wish they had a spicy dipping sauce or something to break up the fatttiness a bit more. But I love these and I would order them again and again, alongside a beer. I think what this place is doing is super fun. I love the distilled fermented whey (aka cowcohol) vanilla extract! You can walk around and pet the cows. I really like this place.

TMK is such a unique spot, it's definitely worth checking out- especially if you have a group and are looking to spend some time there. They allow self guided tours to see the calves and cows onsite. They have outdoor seating- and a fire pit that looks like it would be nice on cooler days- plus a food truck and beers on tap. The draw is really that they give tours of the creamery for both the dairy side and the new "cowcohol" distilling. The Vodka is delicious and would make a great gift. They have a bit of a messy indoor shop/counter space- it's chaotic with merchandise all around the perimeter and no clear place to stand in "line" which may only be an issue at busy times.

TMK Creamery was a great way to finish out our trip up north. We have had the curds before and stocked up on those and some other cheeses we haven't tried yet. Yum! We sampled the Cowcohol and can't wait for them to have more in stock. What a great family run business. We will be back.
