This is consistently one of the best haunted houses in Oregon. We have been going for 8 seasons and each year there is something new to see. The staff are super friendly and keep everyone moving along in a positive way. The scenery is super creative and theatrical with lighting. The actors are plentiful, and fantastic. Going to haunted houses became an annual tradition with my friends since we turned 18. For our fourth year, we all decided to travel to Hubbard for our tradition. Parking was a bit confusing, but there's a free lot, street parking and a 5 dollar parking lot. There is a wait before getting into the haunted houses depending on if your night slot is sold out, but really we only waited about 15-20 minutes after our selected slot so it's no big deal. We chose the classic manor. At first I went in thinking it wasn't too scary, but I was wrong. It was such a fun experience and I'm sure doing it in the dark would've been cool, but I did not have the guts for it. The place also has food, photos and a pumpkin patch. Ok let's talk about the things that make a house great because this has all of them. We spoke with the owner and his son, who are both honest hard working salt of the earth people and they really got into what makes things scary, and how they do things differently. I don't want to get into that too much, but let's say there are things I had never experienced before and it was fantastic. The next thing is the price, it's cheap, like please don't raise the prices because I said that cheap. For 40 dollars you get two haunts. Both entirely different, both worth it. These aren't two houses just different themes, no these are two different experiences. Also on the budget friendly side is buying your pictures, I think it was only 20 bucks to buy all your pics and get 3 photo prints. That's insane cheap. Literally the very next night I paid 20 dollars for 1 print. Last is the food, it's so good, also reasonably priced, they made the most amazing fry bread tacos and the mountain of fries you get were fantastic... And the thing is all together, with tickets and food and photos we spent under 100 dollars, and we felt good doing it. What they have done here is make it sustainable. I'm not mad at spending a 100 bucks, because everything was so reasonable, I was willing to spend more money. The haunted house itself I got scared the whole time but it wasn't to the point where I couldn't handle it! I'd prefer it just a little bit scarier! I've been coming to this for the last 4-5 years and it gets better every year. Most underrated haunted house experience. The little drive is nothing for the quality they put out. We don't grab food but there looks to be a great selection. The corny music videos are perfect for when you're standing in line. The only thing they need to work on is parking! We can compare it to not so scaregrounds in pdx and this one has so many more live actors and pdx has corny animatronics. Keep building this gem and I guarantee you'll need to work on parking cause you're going to bring so many people. Thank you for the great experiences. read more

I'm a huge horror fan, I love the thrill. I attended the main haunted house for $25 with two other friends. All 3 of us agreed that it was the best haunted house we've ever been to. I've been attending scare attractions for about 10 years now, and this is the best one, worth every penny. Mostly adults attended when we went. Haunt lasted about 15 minutes. If you don't want to get scared, do not go. Go to fearpdx or something, it is a lot more tame than this. If i could erase my memory to re-experience this for the first time again, I would. read more

Myself and a group of friends have been coming for the past 8 years (back when there were 3 separate haunts!) and tonight's might very well be the last. It seems to have lost a lot of the charm and scare. I see that they still take some care into changing some of the things around but when you've been coming for so long, everything was very expected. We might need to take a year "off" to make it "new" to us again. Also, a few "scares" into The Dark (which isn't as dark anymore--were there complaints?) one of the scarers came up to us and said, "once upon a time...there was a baby...AND THEN IT F****ING DIED", yelling the last bit right in my ear. If that language or content is something that you would find offensive or sensitive due to personal circumstances, you've been warned. We used to love this place so much. Such a shame because it looks like the owner tries (tried?) really hard. Good luck in the future! read more

This was super awesome. I'm not a haunted house person, but my 15 year old daughter is. I wanted to show her something besides Fright Town. We got there around 8pm and waited in line for about 20 minutes for both houses, which was totally worth it. The manor was AWESOME and scary, AND they take your picture in there and sell it to you for $3, which was so fun. These people work hard and do a great job. We loved it. read more

The BEST, most terrorifying haunted house that I have been to. Brilliantly conceived with two distinctly different haunts, this experience is well worth the trip from Portland. The drive there set the stage with the site being a very dark, isolated area. As you drive there, you pass a nearby cementary and, then, you see the parking lot lights....and hear screams. My wife ripped my shirt, grabbing at me in terror. She refused to do the second haunt. But my kids loved it and did both, screaming and running into walls. The drive to the site was 25 minutes from Lake Oswego and the talk, there and back, was entirely filled with minute-by-minute recountings of the horrors of the night. I've been to COUNTLESS Halloween haunted houses and I came here last Halloween for the first time.... Let me just say that this is the absolute BEST Halloween haunted house I've ever been to! I'm very hard to scare, but this place definitely had me startled quite a few times!! Both of their haunted houses (The Manor and The Dark) are amazing! Definitely buy the combo pass to go into both! Went on Saturday, even in the rain it was amazing and no problems. Free parking, portapotties, covered waiting line area, concession stand, videos to watch while in line, and the 2 haunts are AWESOME! 2 attractions for $15! I may go again! read more

Ok, I'm 51 so not much startles me anymore. This place is fun! I went with my 21 year old daughter. We did go early so our wait and parking was easy. Parking is free. The lot is small so we just parked on the road for easy exit. Everything is covered so no worries about the rain. There were two haunted houses and they were both fun. They play music and videos while you wait and there was a little graveyard area to take some photos while in that line. I love that they don't heard you through with a bunch of other people. You enter with just your group. I think the location adds to it too. Instead of it being in the Elks building or the convention center, it's out in the country so you don't have a great sense of how big they haunts are or when they will end. The larger one had exits that we saw people coming out of early. Lol I really had fun and may have screamed a few times. They have a great concession stand if you're hungry and covered eating area as well as a free photo prop area, ghouls included. I wouldn't take younger kids. Some of the themes are a bit much for little ones. We'll go again next year and see if it's different. read more

So much fun! All the actors were all great, this was the best haunted house I've been to. My nine year old loved it, but the haunts were too scary for my six year old. She still had a great time drinking hot chocolate and watching the zombies walk around outside. This is a family-run business and the owner is super friendly. We're definitely going back! read more

I didn't necessarily go to haunted houses every year, as an adult. They all were pretty much the same and not terribly scary. That all changed several years ago when I first enjoyed Milburn's Haunted Manor. What a haunted house! They have two separate haunts that get to you in distinct fashions, each unique and imaginative. I recommend doing both, Milburn's discounts the combined experience if you do. Adding in the concessions stand, which has surprisingly good food, I make Milburn's Haunted Manor a yearly event. I've gone to Milburn every year for YEARS! I'm so sad to say that it seems like each year it is not as good as the previous year. Way back when Milburn made VERY sure your group didn't catch up to the group in front nor would the group behind you catch up to your group. This year our experience was definitely ruined by the group in front who refused to move on. We had to wait so long on them that the next group behind us caught up to us. In the "good old days" Milburn had cameras inside to get that shot of your scared face and I bought those pictures every year but now just the do it yourself booth outside. Real bummer. They used to have so many actors that you were definitely going to get startled no matter how hard you tried to figure out where they were now days though? There they are in plain view screaming and trying to look scary. But that isn't scary. I enjoyed the "coffin ride" one year. How scary to lay in a coffin, have the lid closed and made to feel like you were in a truck on the way to the graveyard and then lowered into a grave and filmed the entire time so the crowd could watch. I do miss the forest too. The black used to be so much better as well. Same with the house. Milburn really used to do it up right for real and yes I have high expectations. Sadly this year 2017 will be my last year going as I don't believe they'll go back to the old ways and real scares. So sad and what is worse is Milburn was always the best and above the rest. The only one who has topped them is the newer full contact House Of Shadows. So guess, for me, it is only House Of Shadows Now. Sigh. read more
