Just short attitudes and a clear vibe that they don't want to be there or deal with people. On my most recent visit, I had an issue where my phone number was entered incorrectly. When I pointed it out, instead of simply fixing it, the response I got was irritation and attitude. Like I was the problem for asking them to correct their own mistake. That kind of interaction is unacceptable anywhere, especially in a place that markets itself as family-friendly. At this point, it's not a one-off, it's a pattern. When multiple visits consistently come with the same poor experience, it reflects a bigger issue with management and expectations. We enjoy bringing our kids here, but the ongoing lack of basic professionalism from the bar staff and the wait staff in the bowling alley, is seriously dragging down the experience. It shouldn't be this hard to get decent service. We all know it all starts at the top.

The Oswego Heritage House is a wonderful resource for the entire community. Mark Browne, the…read morearchivist, is absolutely the most knowledgeable person about Lake Owego history and seeks to learn more all the time. He is quick to educate others and share what he thinks they will find fascinating. Mark is on a quest to know more for himself, and preserve the history, and creates exhibits that build community and community relationships. This is the best kind of museum, in my opinion, as it cultivates community and adds to the importance of knowing one another. Nancy is the Executive Director, and truly makes sure each guest of the museum and user of the space is welcomed and helped. She is quick to promote others, and advocate for the betterment of this community she calls home. It's so refreshing to visit the museum and experience the local charm, and history of Lake Oswego. It is fascinating enough for a younger person to enjoy a quick visit, and is available to be rented and used for events and parties. Nancy has made sure this museum is a resource to our community.

We are working on a project that has to do with Lake Oswego history, and had heard that this place was worth checking out. We went to walk in, only to realize that the door says it closes at 3 [website says 4].... we were about to be disappointed when we saw someone inside, so we ended up walking in. There was only one woman working [same who is always there], and she was more than happy to let us come in and peruse. The one-room exhibit had all sorts of random artifacts... from locally recovered arrowheads, to an old telephone and camera, to some great old pictures, to antique clocks. While we did enjoy checking those out, we learned much more from the woman...who walked around with us explaining and expanding upon the info that was there. She was very friendly, and full of interesting tidbits about the community and it's history. The kids loved talking to her, and she laughed and was 'interested' in what they had to say as well. Before we left, she even fired up an old victrola and played us a few albums... to which she laughed and danced with us... the kids loved it! Quite a random little place, but glad that we stopped. Apparently they host all sorts of events, and have new exhibits every month... so we'll probably wander back in again sometime. And hey, it's free! If you live in LO and/or are interested in it's history... I'd suggest a stop. Not a place I'd drive across town to visit, but it was definitely a fun and educational experience.... you have to appreciate those who preserve and teach others about local history [or at least I know that I do!].

As a woman of Nimiipuu (Nez Perce) and Greek parents, I was truly excited to see this production. It was well publicized on social media, so I shared out and encouraged friends to join me. It's opening weekend, and I attended the Sunday matinee to attend the opening speech given by Nimiipuu artist, Kellen Trenel, responsible for costumes and set design. His talents stem from generations of traditional beadwork, weaving, and design. The collage of personal, familial, and upcycled modern pieces were evident and truly added a special touch. The setting is small and intimate, but if I'd offer any suggestions, it would be to provide a mic for any Q&A. The story was comedic at times, and made you pause to really absorb the message. The ending packed a punch and brought tears to my eyes! Hats off to all who were involved in bringing this moving play to the area. Hillsboro is a beautiful town that I've not visited, but am glad to have had the opportunity to see more of the region.

My office is in Hillsboro and I live in Beaverton so this is truly a perfect location for me to see a show. The location is also grand when you consider how many great spots are available for getting food before the show or late night places for after the show. The parking is not ideal, especially if you have mobility issues. The parking is also not horrible - you will likely be a few blocks away so you are going to want to plan accordingly. Downtown Hillsboro does become a ghost town after 7pm so you can leisurely walk back to your car after the show. When you walk into the space it seems fairly small based on the lobby. This is just where you check in and grab some wine. The theater itself is a nice layout although you will want to be mindful to go to your right and sit far right if you are in need of a restroom a lot or else you may get stuck. There is not a bad seat in the house from what I could see. The stage and audience seating proximity is pretty perfect and the theater has a very open feel to it so I never felt cramped or like the air was stagnant etc. This is just a great place to see something unique. If A Clockwork Orange is any indication of the quality of shows put on at the Vault - I can't wait to see another show here.

I especially loved the apple tasting, apple cider donuts and the corn maze. The pricing structure was a little confusing I payed the higher price for activities I could not participate in I.e kiddie rides. We've been going for the last five years so we have a number of favorite things: **Lion's Club burgers with grilled sweet Walla Walla onions **waterski show **lumberjack competition **carnival rides (almost all are fine for ages 5 and up but will bore teenagers) **evening concert (The Bob Miller All-Star Band headlined Saturday night). The fair begins on Friday night and continues through the weekend with a parade Saturday morning. Also, isn't a summer fair the best place to people watch and catch a glimpse of the teenage mating rituals. It breaks my heart to think my boys are only a few years away from getting their hearts stomped by the ladies.

Looked fun, but we ran out of time. The food was a good selection with hamburgers, Mexican, Hawaiian, and pizza for the main courses. There was cotton candy, rhubarb/strawberry pie, elephant ears, and churros for dessert. We tried the burgers, the pizza, pie, and the churros. The burgers were pretty fair (haha pun), but the pie and the churros were both better than I expected and quite tasty. They had nice kayak&canoe rentals, some shows/demonstrations, and fun stuff. They had a whole truckload of e-drums for the kids to try (headphones included!!!!!). The rubber duck race was silly and fun even though the concept seemed odd at first. They dumped in a whole bucket load of numbered rubber ducks up river and then whoever's numbered one got down first wins. Fun! The highlight for me was the lumber-jack competition with all sorts of crazy chainsaw and axe demonstrations and contests. The craziest of these had to be the motorcycle engines powering some chainsaws that were crazy loud and crazy fast at cutting up wood. All in all a fun time!

Nothing feels rushed, the speakers are a comfortable walk from the downtown festivities that are entertaining and fun without feeling like a cheap money grab. Nothing about this fest lends any atmosphere of fundraising or profiteering strictly focusing on enjoyment. Last but not least, the volunteers. Everyone I interacted with was knowledgeable, helpful, and just plain genuinely pleasant to talk too. Where they found this many nice people I have no idea. Our 3rd year attending. I give McMinnamins UFO Fest a solid 10! 100% worth the trip!

There were 3 speakers, one of whom was highly respected George Knapp, no problem with him or Dylan Borland, a whistleblower. But Corbell monopolized the conversation, overrode the other two constantly and it was painful to listen to. He spoke in circles, was repetitive, and gave us a steady barrage of acronyms, nothing at all noteworthy. A lot of bluster, F bombs and zero meaningful details about UAPs or ET. One hour in, bored people began to leave, after that a mass exodus. The director of the festival hopefully will take note of that.
