We go to lots of haunted houses each year and this one was a big let down. Very little decorations,…read morenot a lot of scarers. Those that were there did more of the yell type scaring and less of the acting scaring. Or they said, "keep moving" and no scaring. They let us in every 20 sec so we were stacked. We bought VIP tickets to jump the lines. This also lets you go back through. When we finished all the haunts we decided none of us liked it enough to go again. Parking cost $10 in addition to tickets. Not worth it at all.

I love anything Halloween, but I must admit, I have never seen an event quite like this before. If…read moreyou've ever watched a classic 1980s Halloween movie, where they have a stereotypical, but classy Halloween festival, that is exactly the same vibes that I got from this place! Good job on coming up with such a creative idea! Parking was pretty close to the entrance, but be warned that they charge $10 per car just like during the fair. After going through a metal detector and bag check, they have vendors inside a building selling various things, although some were not Halloween related, and kind of seemed out of place. They did have a cool reptile exhibit as well. Outside, the area is nicely decorated with Halloween style lights hanging overhead, and a really realistic looking cemetery. At first I thought the fairgrounds actually had a cemetery as the old, church looking building in the background and tombstones throughout made it look like its always been there. The haunted houses are located inside an older looking building. There were three of the haunted houses inside the building and a fourth outside. Each haunted house has a separate entrance, which was a little hard to figure out how to go into each one at first. The lines were pretty long when we arrived, but they seemed to move pretty fast. I don't think we waited in line more than an hour in total. They have some really well themed sets, with cool looking props. Each haunted house has a different theme, so the sets all seem to work well with each one. The distorted haunted house did not many decorations, but it felt more of a traditional haunted house with jump scares, strobe light effects, and lots of actors. The doll factory one was very well put together and had an eerie vibe to it, along with creepy music, that I can still hear playing in my head. The staff was doing a great job scaring and directing people. We kept watching group after group run out of the haunted houses holding their chest, screaming, or laughing as they exited. Overall, I am so happy that this place is in my hometown! I can see this thing becoming huge in the next few years with all the space that seems to be around the entrance and sides where they can easily grow year-after-year. I will definitely be back next year and I will bring more people with me!

My grandson really enjoyed the thrill of being in control of the monster telling them to go to sleep when he had enough of there play. We started with a group picture traversed through 2 spooky houses then trick or treated the booths before exiting. Will definitely be back for this event next Halloween. Great family experience.

Like when you exit one house your automatically in line with the next house. They also had a really cool market at the end with tons of vendors to buy from. I was also thankful for the large sizes on the tshirts got me a 4xl. I also had a lot of fun in the houses, the first one was my favorite, but all the actors were amazing, they had fun and Interacted with us as we went through in a fun and Individual way. The vampire lady in the bed said " ahhh my new snacks have arrived" and the way she said snacks had me stimming the rest of the night. Snaaaackkkks. Totally worth it. Not super scary, but lots of fun.

This is a great Halloween event. I would highly recommend this for families (might be too scary for…read moresuper littles), a spooky date or friend's night out. They don't open until 7, and I mean 7, so if you think you're going to go early and skip a line or do other things at the park, think again. There is NO line to get in also, which was funny, it's free to enter and you just walk in, the "tickets" are for the three houses themselves, so if you're first time--I wish I'd have known that. The VIP tickets are worth it, as you just head to the right of the lines to enter the houses and walk right in. Nice. They have a few vendors of super cool, handmade things and one food cart with fresh, artisan dogs and other sides. Wish there was more food and adult drinks are great (no hard booze that I saw), but reasonably priced wine, beer, cider. 3 drinks for 30$ with a nice tipper, I'd say a deal at an event. The houses are really well-done, and I like that they don't touch you, haha. As I'm a little bit of an anxious person, but I got along fine. Hardcore folks might be disappointed, but I'm here to have fun, not a heart attack. And the people in costume walking the grounds are really cool, the "deer" lady is crazy good and I have no idea how they keep up that scream and voice all night, wow! We will be going again next week, that's how much we enjoyed our time, so I'd recommend you check it out, and again, this doesn't break the bank.

There is a lively causeway with selfie stations, various games and attractions, as well as costumed characters wandering through the park. They've done a great job with makeup and special effects, and stay in character as they engage with attendees. The main attraction is the three haunted houses. This year, in 2024, they have a castle with twisting and winding halls, a scary church full of ghosts and ghouls, and a haunted cinema. They've curated some really nice scenes, and sourced enthusiastic performers, which makes up for any bare hallways or lengthy delays between scares. The hardcore haunted house aficionados may judge this attraction too harshly, but for an anxiety-ridden middle aged man like me... it does just fine! Any event taking place at Oaks Park has the benefit of great accommodations like ample, affordable parking, easy to find restrooms, food and other amenities. If you can afford the hefty admission, chances are you'll have a great time at this event.
