It was a long drive on curvy country roads to get there and it was rainy and extremely foggy, but it made it part of the "spooky" fun! We got here and we were greeted with friendly people and even a sucker for our son. It was only $20 for the 3 of us to get in which is very reasonable and a cheap night compared to any local events and activities we usually go to. The trail was pretty long and we were told to go through as many times as we wished. There were tons of little houses to walk through, a maze, a suspension bridge, a concrete tunnel, a crooked house, and many slides. We thoroughly enjoyed the trail, rain and all! It was well lit with Halloween lights all throughout, so it was pretty neat to walk the trails and see hidden spooky figures in the dark. The castle is so cool! It's a mini haunted house with strobe lights, animatronics, curtains to walk through, etc. Our 6 year old was scared by it a bit and got really brave to go in a second time (which made us SO relieved we didn't go to a legitimate haunted house) so it was perfect and not too scary. They've got hot cocoa, hot cider, cold cider, and donuts for sale (very cheap) too so we took advantage of that while we walked the trail. Throughout a multi-day county fair in Oregon, I watched time and time again as patrons were rudely dismissed, ignored and downright insulted. Like any fair, you expect a certain portion of "non-standard behavior" from the part-time staff and 'carnies', but this rude, dismissive behavior went all the way to the top. When I brought a couple of the things to the attention of their customer service, not only did it appear I was talking to a wall, as the customer service person was speaking to what appeared to be a supervisor sitting RIGHT NEXT TO HER, he simply got up and started walking...AWAY. He couldn't care less about the customer service employee and my feedback. I rarely find myself writing directly to a company in these cases, but this consistent behavior was so bad it deserved documentation. (for a copy of my documentation, send me a message) Speaking with other patrons who have attended the same fair and dealt with the same company for years, they were not at all surprised with what I shared and experienced. In fact, they have just come to expect it. A sad, sad state of expectation. I'm a reasonable guy. I'm a manager.
