Nice country fair type setting in the city. Plenty of indoor AC activities and booths. They had plenty of activities that were free from the dog Acrobatic show to a reptile zoo and much more. The midway was priced like most fairs $3-$10 a ride if you pay the tickets but cheaper if you do bracelets. Wish they had the livestock in attendance all at once, but they spit animals to different weekends. Will be back next year.

If you are in the area, bookmark this event. I found it worthwhile, enjoyed it, and learned a lot. Check their website for event details and dates. Depending on where you enter, you'll find a row of several food stands and carts, some of which specialize in garlic-related dishes and desserts; yes, you heard me, desserts, such as garlic ice cream! WHAT!? And it's actually delicious?! Beyond the "food court", there's live entertainment at an adjacent stage, an absolutely massive and exciting playground for the little ones, a grange hall hosting a book sale, and a field boasting several dozen vendor tents, with a handful selling garlic and garlic accessories, and the rest running the usual gamut of artwork, home décor, jewelry, clothing, accessories, tasty treats, gaming goods, and other festival favorites. I would like to see a greater focus on garlic as the centerpiece of the celebration, as it does come off a bit as an afterthought (or maybe an aftertaste?). Sure, there's plenty of garlic here for sale, but it wouldn't be immediately obvious as the theme of the whole affair to anyone stumbling across this festival at random. Bobbing for garlic, perhaps? A "pin-the-stake-in-the-vampire" contest, maybe? A "who has the worst garlic breath" competition? The opportunities are endless!

I learned that they made their own root beer and love their cocktail names. We wanted to try some more of their menu but had a sudden food spot as I got really hungry on the way there but that just gives us a reason to come back! Our bartender Shana was very patient and sweet to us as we were looking over the menu and she told us that we can ask her any questions if we come across any. We ordered a Root 84 classic for the time being as we weren't sure if we were going to order anything else as we were stuffed. But they had a sweet deal going on Sunday which was $5 pizza slices or $6 for their pizza of the week. Additionally, they had karaoke about to start when we had arrived. We couldn't stay for that as well as we drove from Washington and were very tired, but my boyfriend said he would be so down to go back on a karaoke night to sing some of his favorite 80s songs. I loved seeing all their different 80s arcade games as I have never seen any of those games as I was born in 1993 so it was really cool to see some early arcade machine designs as well as the pinball machines too. The vibes inside are dark with neon lights which I really love and they had a retro menu sign inside the bar. Mars was the owner who came to introduce us to the place and directed us to the bar as well. When he saw me taking several pictures, he came to tell us how Arcade 2084 came to be and the hard work he and his staff put into making this place come alive. He was very sweet and you could tell how passionate he was to preserve this place and the beauty of the 80s. Definitely worth visiting if you come to Oregon, check our their website and social media for their current events or specials!

The farm store has a great selection and this year I bought apples for apple pie and they were perfect! One thing to note is that the donuts come with way more than we were expecting. I ate all of them but next time I might consider splitting it with a friend. I don't have kids but this place has a bunch of huge and super unique structures for kids to run around on including a giant structure of tires (looks safe) and tractors and stuff for them to run around on. Next time I have my niece's I'll definitely be bringing them here. The staff is always super friendly and helpful here and they have tons of parking. We are so lucky in Beaverton to have a place like this just 10 minutes down the road where it feels like you're hours outside the city. Everyone should stop by and support this local business!
