We had a pleasant chat and I gave him an ice cold water.He said he was helping my neighbor out. I kindly ask if he could please smooth out the dropped asphalt, that lay in front of my own driveway. Without hesitation, he went above and beyond; and would take no payment. Off he went fixing the road leading to my neighbor. I, dressed in shorts and wearing flip flops, i brilliantly fell into an OCD episode and began using my pocket knife to cut back some long thorn branches shooting out into the roadway being worked on. I lost my balance and fell backwards right in the thick thorn bushes. I was pretty much out of sight, and stabbed profusely; every move was painful. I pulled out my cell phone and dialed several times inside my house for help. LOL- "Help I've fallen and can't get up" just like the commercial. I then blew the dog whistle I had around my neck to call our rescue dog Leo, a Siberian Husky. Fortunately for me Frank Turrifi and my neighbor heard m whistle. The two of them pulled me up and out !! I should have been awarded the dumb-ass award of the day !! The patio and retaining wall look great. The project took longer than expected, but those delays were all on our side. We took longer than we should have to make various decisions about light fixtures, etc. We also changed the scope of the project a few times, adding more areas of walkways that we decided needed to be refinished with the stamped concrete.
