Love this place. I have had tons of fun playing pool and hanging out with friends here. They have some snacks and drinks as well which makes it hard to leave. People on here complain about smoke smell, but if we are being honest; any pool hall especially an Chinese owner is going to smell of cigarettes. Having been to china as well I know that smoking is hugely a part of everyday life there. And people want to talk smack on Mj because of the smell? Even if someone has smoked while you are playing, you should expect it. I have a buddy that works there and they are all super cool. Large spacious pool hall, inexpensive, but availability of alcohol (beer or otherwise) TBD (they did not have anything other than soda/water/Asian teas at the time). Some of their cues were broken, but overall most cues were good quality. Decent enough. However, they did not have many different sizes of pool cue. All of them were the same size, which made it harder for some shorter people I was with. Additionally, the entire place smells like cigarette smoke despite signs everywhere saying NO SMOKING, so they're probably violating some kind of business requirement to smoke indoors anyways. Just left after giving my son his first pool lesson. The price is right, $10/hr and we played for less than 2 hours for$16 on an afternoon that was too hot outside. We found the facilities fine. Enough good quality cues, plenty of chalk and tables. The owner even helped me at the end give a small adjustment to my left handed son. No pressure to buy drinks. We'll be back. The major criticism is that despite the signs, it smells of cigarette smoke and people came in and started smoking next to us while they played--ash trays are available despite the signs. I am willing to put up with this issue for the great price and convenient location. (Smoke does not hang in the air or burn your eyes like in olden days and I doubt the smell will ever go away, but bars are worse) It is not fancy but functional. read more

This place is cool to chill with your friends, and have a good time, but there was one problem that I had which really didn't sit well with me. I went there one occasion with my Asian friends, and it was coo, everything was smooth. However when I came in there with my black friends we were asked for our ID's which was really unprofessional in my opinion, since we were the only people that had to give out ID's when everyone else in the pool house did not. I'm really not the type to just call someone a racist since it's a huge accusation, but I really think this is Lowkey racism. I kinda get it though because maybe some black people have ran off without paying, but we came there another time and still asked for our ID's. Not a bad place to shoot pool. There's five standard 8 foot pool tables to the front and 3 snooker tables towards the back. The table were maintained good and it was fairly friendly for bank shots. No one was smoking while I was in there but I went during the day and there was a faint smell of stale smoke when I went in. It's located in a strip mall so that parking was fairly easy to find. I got there when they just opened and a top40 radio station was playing for music. I was by myself and paid $8 for an hour of pool. Not bad. read more

I've been to this pool place countless times. The cost per table is about $10 an hour and their business hours range from 2 pm to 2 am. It's a very nice and clean environment. Whenever I go to play pool, the majority of the time, I see the owner cleaning the table and organizing things around. The reason for the 5 stars is because of its location and because of the big, standardized table, which includes a very smooth Andy cloth. I say this because a lot of pool places have smaller tables, and it doesn't feel right, playing regular pool. I recently went to Dave and Buster's, and for their pool table, the tables are small and low, and the 8 balls are small as well. The majority of the cue sticks are broken. We had to search around and find one that isn't. The individuals that rated MJ with bad reviews are most likely competitors. I believe smoking isn't a big issue here. You can also purchase cold beverages as well as snacks. If you bring a drink from outside, they will charge you $2 per drink. read more

We were lamenting that there were no entertainment options other than karaoke in Dun Huang plaza when we found this place. They have 2 snooker tables and about 6 pool tables. It wasn't too shady as most people were couples or a bunch of young guys all asian. Rates are affordable at $8 per hour of play. They have beer and other drinks at $3 a pop. Even though there are clearly several no smoking signs around the room people were still smoking which was a big downside. I really liked this place, I just wish this chinatown wasn't such a far drive for me. The tables seemed new and high quality and it is not pricey at all. I went on a weeknight and it was not very busy but I'd imagine that's different on the weekend. I think they're open pretty late. They've got regular American bottled drinks available. this place is not bad...i was utterly surprised when i first visited that it was pretty decent inside. not a bad place for someone to go into and get some practice on some pretty good tables. they do allow smoking and when i went in there the first night, it was pretty evident as soon as i open the door. staff was very nice and i was pretty much expecting that. price on pool and drinks are actually pretty good compared to going to some of these american place...however, i wish they did have a different price for bucket beers, but that wasn't a big deal. i noticed most of the patrons there didn't really drink alcohol anyway and maybe that's a good thing. if you're looking to find and meet chics, you're shit outta luck guyz..LOL...the ratio is bad and 99.7% of the girls there are with their bf's or whatever anyway. the music is whatever's playing on the top 40 radio stations...restrooms clean, thank god. they have pool tournaments every once so often so if you're a hustler, inquire within!! lol read more
