I stopped in on a Friday evening for a night cap. The bar is a pretty decent size and they have their own parking lot. They have a large patio out front and there was plenty of seating indoors as well. It's a sports bar so there were a lot of TVs throughout. They also have arcade games including Skee Ball and Pop-A-Shot. The menu had beer, wine, and cider, but they do have a full bar. I didn't see any specialty cocktails on the menu so I just asked the bartender, Marc to make me a gin based cocktail. Marc came up with his version of a Corpse Reviver. It had a tart, yet fruity twist to it. I can't recall all of the ingredients he used, but I liked it. I also had a Gimlet which was really good. Marc informed me about The Railyard shot special. Any time a train rolls by, you can purchase a vodka based shot for $2. I'm not much of a shot person, but I went ahead and ordered a White Tea shot. It was really good. Everyone in the bar was friendly and I appreciated the diversity of the clientele. Super chill place, just as a dive should be.

Tucked next to the Becks and out of sight off of Westheimer, it's a small classy dive bar with a…read morecool owner in Louie and some nice bartenders. As you walk in, you'll be greeted by the 70's/80's/90's bar music of rock/disco and chessboard floor pattern. Then you get your drink order from one of the many pleasant bartenders (or Louie) and sit either inside or outside and think to yourself you're the luckiest person in the world. So they specialize in three things: cocktails/liquors, cigars, and patio seating. When you combine all three of those, it's the perfect bar. Cocktails such as ol fashions and cape cods are plentiful here. I also appreciate they do a new york sour here which is an underrated cocktail. Cigars are sold here too and they have cutters and plenty of torch lighters to spark them up. Outside on their patio deck has plenty of seating with some of those heaters in case you houstonians can't handle the cold. Only gripe is I wish they had a larger wine selection as they only have bordeuax or a red blend. Not sure if they serve white wines either. But there's wine bars for that. You're here for the hard stuff or a quick beer, maybe a cigar, and definitely a peace of mind. That's what keeps me coming back!

It is very small inside and they try to crowd in as many seats as possible so it's hard to get through them when crowded. The bathrooms are bar bathrooms, sooo.... The best menu item I have had and will always get when in the area, their potato wedges. I take them togo too and after a 30 minute drive they're still great and massive.

When I say wait, I mean waiting 5-10 minutes for a freakin elevator. I think these are the only elevators in the parking garage. So on busy nights and on weekends this can definitely get backed up. When we finally made it downstairs, this place was a packed house. The music was blaring and people were dressed to the nines. I guess I didn't get the memo that it was "Dressed to Impress" night. As soon as you step in, this place is chaotic and pretty unorganized. Don't get me wrong this place gets a solid 8 on the luxury scale, but the atmosphere and lack of bar staff definitely was not worth it. This place was definitely short staff on their opening night, shouldn't they know that they will need a full staff to prepare for battle of the oncoming bar hoppers and club goers. Duh! The bar staff they did have were as slow as molasses. So slow that we didn't even get one single drop of liquor after 15 minutes or so. As we waited we looked over the menu, which had an array of cool and inventive cocktails and martinis they also offer small bar bites. We got there early, so for a little while it was just our group in there, and that honestly made it even more fun. We had space to dance, act a fool, and just enjoy each other before the crowd came in. Once people started trickling in, the energy picked up in the best way. The DJ was doing their thing all night. We were dancing, singing like it was karaoke without the mic, and just having a genuinely good time. The drinks were good, and the whole vibe just felt easy and fun. Nothing forced. We even spent some time outside watching people play Jenga, which was way more entertaining than it should have been. I have heard mixed reviews about Pearl, especially about the crowd, but I can only speak on my experience. This past Saturday? It was a whole vibe. I have been before and it did not hit like this, but this time definitely did. Pearl is officially back in my rotation.
