I had read such wonderful reviews, and, believe me, based on the prior stylist from another salon who did my hair, I really needed Dawn. I walked in, verified my appointment with Dawn, and instead of getting her, I was passed over to another stylist. What?! Is this even professional? During the color job with the other stylist, I specifically asked if I was getting my hair cut (at least) from Dawn. I was told "yes," so I relaxed in my seat although all the time I was disappointed that another stylist, although very good, was still doing my hair. Then my heart dropped. When the stylist finished coloring and highlighting my hair, he proceeded to cut my hair. What??! It's not like I didn't speak up and got assured that Dawn would do my hair! In all my years of going to a salon (and an upscale one), and requesting only for the owner to do my hair, never was I once tossed over another stylist. Kudos to the stylist who did my hair...a lovely person. However, I went to Fiore di Luna, an expensive, high-end luxury place, to get my haircut from owner, Dawn! When the topic was diplomatically approached, I was told by Dawn. "Don't worry..you'll be very happy with this other stylist." May have been very true, but that wasn't the reason I took this trip to Fiore di Luna. Customers who go to Fiore, If you request the owner, make sure you get just that. I was deceived. Not a good feeling. Perhaps, when Dawn reads this, she will personally call me and make sure my next appointment will be with her and only with her to make up for this expensive but disappointing day. I hesitated from writing this review because I only wanted to write a positive review, but I thought other customers should be alert to the switch that was made on me, so it doesn't occur to them. The salon is really lovely. But, no one appreciates being "passed over."

I had called to book an appointment for highlights which I had not had since before Covid. Of note, my hair was in great shape pre-service. I was scheduled for a Saturday. Little did I realize that was a horrible mistake on my part. The salon was very crowded and the stylist was very busy. She actually ran out of the bleach solution she was using and had to run to the back mid way to grab the bag of bleach powder. She mixed it hurriedly right at the chair (no scales or measuring) and continued putting foils in my hair. Then I was put under the dryer to process while she cut someone else's hair. It was finished with a gloss. It looked nice enough at the end, but when I next washed it, it felt so rough and damaged in the shower. It was a rat nest. Permanently damaged. A few weeks later I went to another salon for a trim and the stylist told me my hair was gummy, and I had to have four inches cut off the ends. I KNEW IT. The stylist was more interested in squeezing in as many clients as possible TO MAKE AS MUCH MONEY AS POSSIBLE vs. being careful with my highlights and giving them the time and attention needed to come out correctly without damaging my hair. So I paid a few hundred dollars to get my hair ruined. What kind of place does this? Not a good one. If you value your hair, go elsewhere. FURTHER UPDATE in response to the salon's comment. This is NOT a fake review. Unfortunately. This is exactly what happened to me at your salon. Do you want the other salon to call you to attest that my hair was damaged and gummy? Why are you marking every negative review as fake? It is only fair to warn others of what happened to me.
